No, I did not and I still do not have a good relationship with them.

My father was tough , abusive and extremely malicious.. made it clear he wasn't my friend or mate. The only time I could stay even 1 minute close to him was either he was beating me or verbally abusing me.

My mother was excessively judgemental and annoyingly over religious. She also believed I was a child and never had a say.

I left home as a teenager to university and stayed away for 3 years.. didn't visit and they didn't bother.
They didn't attend my matriculation, induction and convocation.
I learnt how to celebrate my wins alone.
First picture I took with my parents was during my wedding.
My siblings and I never had one family picture with them.

Today, I just send money when I want to. We still don't relate.
I don't know how to talk to/gist with them especially my father. My children do not know them.

I haven't spoken to my mum in 3 months and my dad in 11 months. I try not to pick his calls because we have nothing to discuss.
It's too late to begin building a relationship.

My dear brother you are very right. During my campus days as far back as 2005, I witnessed a brutal killing within campus somewhere in the south east. This guy has graduated and left school probably running deals because he looked so fresh when he came for his clearance about a year after. The way he was hotly chased and killed in broad daylight was like a scene in one of chuck Norris movies. Somehow, he was chased from the canteen area to the hall where we were waiting for lecture to commence. My coursemates took off not really knowing who was chasing who. I now remembered my late dad's advice that whenever people are running Helter skelter, the best approach is to stay at one place and lie down flat. I remained where I was to even know what was causing the whole pandemonium. The next thing I saw was this fresh guy I knew very well, I never even knew he was a cultist. He was hotly chased by three guys of which I knew two to be cultists. That was when I knew I was about to watch a horror film. By the time he could run around the hall where I was so he could escape to the security post, he somehow tripped and fell. The moment he tripped, he shouted and in a split second, those three guys rounded him, dragged him by his shirt and tore it immediately, they now brought out guns, omor. I immediately ducked from my position to avoid being seen. One. Of them brought the gun to his chest and fired. I was waiting to see him bleed and die, it did not happen. That is when I realized he was cooked up in charms. They now dragged him to the back of that hall where I was and many other of the hit squad members immediately surfaced from nowhere and they literally killed the guy like an animal. They used karate to break his neck, hit his head severally against a sharp, pointed concrete till the skull cracked. They now shot him again inside the ear and it penetrated. Blood was oozing out of his ear. The hit squad hung around to confirm him dead before they left. People who were watching from sorrounding buildings now rushed to where they left his mangled carcass. People who knew the guy were dumbfounded that day including me. The scene is still fresh in my memory for more than 20yrs now. There is no single gain in cultism honestly. I also found out that if a cultist genuinely repents and gives his life to Christ, he cannot be killed by anyone no matter how they try. I saw that happen too.

The emergence of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), reportedly under Seriake Dickson, has allegedly sparked a direct confrontation with the All Democratic Alliance (ADA), which is now preparing legal action against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). What should have been a routine administrative procedure has escalated into a critical test of the integrity of Nigeria’s electoral system.

Dr. Umar Ardo has voiced a blunt claim: a party that allegedly did not apply, was not shortlisted, and did not undergo verification has somehow obtained a registration certificate. If even partially true, this represents more than a procedural lapse—it suggests a structural breach.

According to the timeline ADA presents, out of 171 associations, INEC shortlisted 14, with only eight advancing to verification. ADA maintains that they followed all rules, attended the required stages, yet were excluded.

Meanwhile, the NDC, they assert, was absent from this process entirely.

INEC’s defense—that the registration was issued under a court order—is now under intense scrutiny. Court orders require proper filings, representation, and justification. If any of these elements are missing or unclear, both the process and its outcome risk being questioned.

This issue is larger than a dispute between two parties. It goes to the heart of process integrity. If political registration can be altered outside transparent procedures, the gatekeeping role of INEC—and public trust in it—comes under threat.

ADA’s move to obtain Certified True Copies from the Federal High Court in Lokoja indicates that this matter will not be quietly resolved. It is heading toward a legal and public accountability test.

There are only two possible outcomes: either the process is validated with clear, verifiable evidence, or it collapses under scrutiny. There is no compromise that preserves credibility in between.

This is not merely about one party’s registration. It is a direct challenge to the rules governing political participation. If those rules are seen as flexible for some and rigid for others, the implications extend far beyond this case—striking at the very foundation of electoral justice in Nigeria.

Could still remember back then in 1997 while in ss 2, some of us was driven in our school bus straight to st finbarrs near unilag for a school invitational,the experience was quite refreshing.

Still has fond memos of our days back then,back of our school has train track for moving trains passing to their destination,this could be seen from 2nd floor of our classes.

The 90s in vetland was an era of its own,and it was different strokes for different folks,each clique was unique: some boyz rolled dice,some played b ball, some volley ball,some football,some off to allen water packs to chill after school,while some was to vibe with rhythm that could wow kenny ogungbe or D1,and some were all about deals to strike,while some were married to their books.

Yeah that is how it is boldly writing in my faculty the last time I visited after several years of graduation.

Though I declined attempt to be cajoled to join cult, but when I eventually join it was awful all through,is it the red eyes and swollen face I got gifted during initiation or the nasty bang on the door of my room apartment on the day of my matriculation that disrupted the Mouth Gig I was receiving from chioma and sent shockwaves through her,and she hurriedly wore her clothes and left without me ever notching her kepkus again,or is it the regular extortion and bullying from rogue members of the same clique not to talk of rivals.

Experiencing all this could take an emotional toll but I pull through because I avoided open confrontation with rivals on 2 separate occasions and we rather became friends,I knew if I allowed escalation of tension on those 2 occasions even my clique that expose me to the danger wouldn't save the situation.


Thank God I went for NYSC while shine,waziri and dayo couldn't.

That still does not clear Akpabio of being obsessed with women and had once receive a hot slap for overreaching himself like a he goat.
