A breakdown of my application process:

Biometric date: 16th June

Nsf mail requesting additional documentation of what I've been doing since graduation: 22nd July

Submitted documents: 23rd July

Interview mail: 31st July
Scheduled for interview on the 8th of August

Interview date: August 8th, interview lasted over an hour 15mins

No words from Ukvi so I made my first paid call on the 16 of August and was told to wait until the 21st if I haven't gotten a decision then they'll escalate. I was nervous during these times and prayed in my heart all day as I waited. First thing on the 21st morning I looked at my emails, but there was nothing. Tracked my application, but it was still stuck in decision making so I made another paid call and was told a decision had been made that I should keep looking at my emails.

A few hours after the call, TLS mail came for pickup...

Visa was dated: 19/08
Picked up: 21/08

Please house, how do I make a paid call? I've tried calling two of the phone numbers on ukvi contacts but it won't even connect (ring).. Please help a brother on how to go about this

I'm currently having trouble connecting with Ukvi through a paid call. I've attempted to dial the following numbers:

Has anyone encountered a similar issue and found a way to successfully connect with them via phone? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any assistance.

I didn't submit a letter of explanation during my application. I never thought of it since i submitted documents on my checklist and more but they wanted to see proofs that i actually worked in the places i mentioned in my visa. So i sent more

You have got this. Your interview shall be smooth and on the 9th you’ll receive your Visa.

Master your modules, Credit units, University, Location, and Why the UK and not Canada question, Link your Current Job to your intended Program together and prove to them the relevance of this program in Nigeria when you finish your studies. Have a good knowledge of your previous degree and be ready to talk about any discrepancies with the new program if any. If you’re up to 35 and above, be prepared for questions like Why do you want to go back to Studies and not business, etc

Remember that the reason for the interview is to know if you’re a Genuine Student, proof to them that you’re. Be bold, they’re humans too. Ensure you have a good network and charged battery and a bright environment, have a good ooddemeanor,r and appear a few minutes before the time.

Official, verifiable documents to demonstrate what you have been doing since your graduation in 2019.

This should be in English or a certified translation and for exampl,e be in the form of Payslips/employment letters with contact details on them / bank statements with regular salary being deposited / employment contracts / further education certificates and should not just be a CV.

So I submitted
-NYSC certificate and bank statements showing regular income from Nysc
-Employment letter from a previous place of employment and Reference salaries were paid in hand at this job
- I was in civil service from 2014 to 2022 gave a bank statement showing salaries from 2019 to 2022 i don't have any payslips
-Travel history was mentioned in the application so I gave a letter of explanation covering my trips and reasons for travel
-CAC Certificate from March this year


I have 5 years study gap
1 Canada visitors visa refusal

I got another email yesterday for an interview on the 8 day of August. So I'm getting myself ready for that too. Hopefully, they'll finally get the answers they want... Wish me luck

Good afternoon all
Please I need your advice and some words of encouragement won't be bad as the wait for a response doesn't get any better as days go by.

So I did my online application on the 10th of July and biometric on the 16th. On the 22nd of, July, I got an NSF mail asking for additional documents. Submitted all documents and a letter of explanation on the 23rd. I got an automated mail confirming they received my mail but I haven't gotten any response from UKVI up until this moment. Application tracking is still at DCM.

I intend to wait until Monday as that's the end of the 3 weeks since biometrics and 14 days since my response to NSF mail before I make a paid call or email. So my questions are

1. How do I make a paid call or email (which works better and faster)?
2. How do I escalate the matter if need be?
3. Do I need to be worried at this point?
4. Is anyone having a similar experience?
