Sports › USA World Cup Boycott: 16,000 Tickets Cancelled Overnight by Flangelo12(op): 4:32pm On Jan 10
Reports indicate that approximately 16,800 World Cup tickets were cancelled overnight due to fan safety fears, political protests, and high prices for the 2026 tournament to be held in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

Reasons for Cancellations

Safety concerns: Fans have expressed fears over safety in the U.S. and cited specific incidents involving U.S. law enforcement actions as a reason for cancelling tickets.

Political protests: There are ongoing calls to boycott the tournament due to political concerns related to U.S. policies, including entry bans affecting fans from certain countries like Iran, Senegal, Ivory Coast, and Haiti.

Extortionate prices: Fan groups have heavily criticized the "extortionate" and variable pricing structure of tickets, particularly for the later stages of the tournament, which are significantly higher than previous World Cups.

Lack of accessibility: There have been criticisms regarding the lack of flexible or affordable ticket options for disabled fans.
FIFA has scheduled an emergency meeting to address the backlash and growing concerns ahead of the tournament. Fans can typically manage their tickets and explore the official FIFA resale marketplace if they wish to sell or buy valid tickets.

Why would anyone attack another for their religious beliefs?

It's sad that Africans would attack another African for indulging in the beliefs of their own forefathers.

Please be rational! How can the man bring a baby home when he can't get pregnant?

If men could carry pregnancies, they would also be involved in such deception.

In additional, many married men have children outside. Many even have second families outside.

Men have also been known to smuggle in their affair children into their homes, disguising them as their domestic servants or relations.
There's no assumption here.

We know what many women do.

Let's call them out for their fraudulent ways.

Nnamdi Azikiwe said no need for that because he truly believed in one big united Nigeria...he was a pan-African leader....he even had Southern Cameroon join Nigeria...and also wanted Port Novo, current day Benin Republic to also be part of Nigeria...Zik was a pan-African leader....he believed in building a one united big nation without foreseeing the dangers that we are not one and will hardly be one.....he was blinded by his early education in United States and his love for US and USSR diversity....he thought that could be recreated in Africa.....but he was completely wrong.

....and many Igbos back then never liked Nnamdi Azikiwe's pan-African leadership style, they preferred Awolowo who understood better that we are too diverse and different to coexist as one......so yes Zik made a mistake and Igbos never liked him even till date.

And because your grandfather only built a mud house and a hut and owned no bicycle out of his mistakes does not mean that you his grandchild that have seen his mistakes must not correct those mistakes....we are humans, we are created to be dynamic to changes....we must learn from our past mistakes and not continue on the same pathway that led our forefathers and parents to failure....that is what makes us humans with common sense and wisdom
He resisted because he was in power and felt it would always be like that.

How far?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Threatens Military Action On Greenland by Flangelo12: 11:06am On Jan 10
franchasofficia:
It may sound like a joke to you since you aren't Igbo.

An Igbo elite analyzed this on a national dailies some weeks back, he narrated how the British colonial masters built the Nigerian system to favor Hausas more because they had a simplified, central governing system through the Emirs, and the Yorubas had the Obas while the Igbos had no centralized leadership to make it easier for the British colonial masters to govern Easterners.....who operated family and clan type of leadership unlike the Hausas and the Yorubas. That was why despite Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe being the most learned and the closest to the colonial masters, whose father also worked as the interpreter of the colonial masters was schemed out of federal power and made Governor General while Prime Minister Belewa commanded more power but under the colonial masters, Governor General had the greatest power but as they handed over to Nigerians, they schemed Zik out and made sure power remained in the hands of Hausas whom they believed would be more loyal to them after they are gone.

Fast-forward to after the civil war in 1970, the Hausa-Fulanis that took over control of the Nigerian government and military, made sure Igbos were cut to size to discourage them from ever seeking for secession from Nigeria again....this led to balkanization of Igbo communities and creating identity crises between Southeast Igbos and Southsouth Igbos that still exist to date.

Etchie an Igbo-speaking oil-rich community in today's Rivers State used to be part of Imo state.....they were carefully carved out of Imo State by the Hausa-Fulani/Yoruba led Military heads of state after the war......Etchie and Ohaji Egbema people of Imo state are the same people.....you need to visit there and see the tiny road they created to separate them just to make sure they are removed from Imo state.....I have been there several times during an NDDC project some years back....I cried....and they both know they are brothers but divided by federal government.

Its a long story....don't act like you don't know all these things, you do....but if you pretend not to know, no problem my brother.....its well, time and nature will definitely settle these issues
Who resisted the secession clause?

He doesn't need to attack China. Even China doesn't want to risk a direct confrontation with the US. It is not in each other's interest to have a direct war with each other, so the US is playing a strategic move by cutting off supplies of cheap oil to China it forces them to the negotiation table.
China determines the cost of oil.

They have reservoirs holding almost 2 Billion barrels.

They purchase when the price is low, and limit when above their threshold.

Nothing US would do can sniffle their growth.

Rubbish.

Why shouldn't Venezuela sell oil?

Because America says so?

Since Trump is thinking America first, why can't he attack China?
