Very misleading, deceptive post and list. Yes, some companies did leave for economic, security, and unstable/unfavourable government policies. But the post is not accurate.

For instance, ExxonMobil, SPDC, TotalEnergies, etc still operate 100% in Nigeria. Exxon only sold their shallow waters assets to Seplat.

Same with SPDC, some assets were sold. All of these were for business strategies and concentration on deepwater operations. While TotalEnergies still operates all their operating assets both upstream and downstream.

Uber exit is meaningless. What we need is an integrated and affordable mass transit system, including rail, buses, and ferries. Uber is just a glorified taxi platform. Let those who can afford it ride it. Exiting Nigeria is because of stiff competition and protect profit margins. Just last week they laid off 3,000 workers as part of plans to go driverless.

Uber was taking 25% of drivers' pay as commission and exploiting them. In some countries like Canada, they even take up to 40% commission. Uber has become a predatory, slave driver that has no compassion for its drivers.
