How much your 30tons granite to Badore Ajah.

That's my line of thought. They gave me an outrageous bill of N550,000 for planks only for decking 29m* 6.5m floor slab. This exclude Carpenter's labour, iron bender, engineer's supervision cost, plumbing, and electricals in the decking. Hence, the bill for only decking, excluding Cement, reinforcement, sand and granite came to N1.5m.

I told them, I will never spend N550,000 on planks that cant be used for kitchen cabinet or doors. Never.

I will rather rent all for between 50,000 to 100,000 than waste almost 600k.

You can not see where to rent wood @ that price. Wood is expensive so marine Board too a marine board is rented@3500-4000 each, they are also pros & coin to it when renting other board 1x12 it will not be neat, you may likely experience leakage when pouring concrete.

1x12 wood is N1,300each now. Materials is high now, granite is not less N150k in Ogun state close terrain. Iron rod is not less N215k/ton. Everything is high now.

I hv make finding on it as i am going to embark on a project soon.

...If i speak here you will think am defending him, Mrs Ugogal from Chekitaut words the way you feel about him is the way i feel, he look like a ready to work man...i call him he explain to me, but money is involve i told him to do his best to resolve the issue.

To be frank to all on nairaland, Chekitaut still have the best edge over any other supplier on Nairaland, he was the 1st to state is prices here, where NLD's and guest use as their bench mark, he was the 1st that has a thank you package(Free) even when his deliver will blow your mind as in Quantity.

As he said it...The truck owner should bear the cost of the driver careless driving, from what i know he gets N40/bag or less when he deliver cement, he told me sometimes ago that he looks at turn-over. The painful thing in all is when people don't pay for service in due time. For crying out loud a builder should plan for his or her own building, you do not expect the supplier or Labourer to build for you and you pay later, If you agree pay on delivery pay or as early as possible the next day you pay. any act that pay for services after 2 or more day is acting against the word of God. is an act of wickedness.

From your words you did not state if you hv giving him money or not, Chekitaut wrote he told you 30bags is left in stock..., Y don't u buy from the nearest cement seller to save time? I know in ogombo cement is sold at 1850/bag and u carry with 50-100naira/bag. Mr Chekitaut is my dependable supplier, I meet him on nairaland and am highly impressed.
