It was, but we didn't provide her bank statements as an indication foolishly.

Hi All,

I need some advice if possible.

I'm British, my wife Nigerian. She's with me here on a settlement visa all fine.

We applied for a visitor visa for her mum to come and visit and we were refused on the grounds that we hadn't proved that she would leave the UK once her visa has expired.

We stated the dates she would be visiting from and to, proved that I would be sponsoring her financially in full, proved she would be staying with us.

She is retired and relies on money from her sons and daughters and what little pension she gets.
