The maiden edition of the Akwa Ibom heritage Festival tagged IbomFest 2016 which is billed to hold from 15th to 17th of December 2016 has received major boost as His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel has announced his support for the festival.

At a press conference which held recently at the Akwa Ibom Government House, the Governor enjoined all would be visitors to take opportunity of the festival to visit the state and experience the artistic, cultural and tourism opportunities that abound in the state. He affirmed that the entire machinery of the state government was working in unity towards making sure that IbomFest 2016 would make indelible imprints in the consciousness of all guests.

Also speaking to the members of the press, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State for Tourism and Development, Ms. Ini Edo stated that the festival which is themed ‘Our Culture Beyond Borders’ was in line with the desire of His Excellency to ensure that Akwa Ibom remains the choice destination for tourists and investors and this has spurred the pace of infrastructural and socio-economic development witnessed in Akwa Ibom State.

I waited patiently as the phone loaded slowly due to the poor network. Believe me, network is always very slow whenever one wants to check result.

It was my third post UTME in the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University. Since I'm the only child, she has only shown me so much care and affection, and i can't afford to fail post utme the third time.

All these was going through my mind, and my thoughts were too crowded to notice that the result has loaded, and is right on the screen staring at me. I snapped out of my thoughts to discover that 'the bridegroom' is here, all i needed to do was to 'zoom' on my outdated Blackberry tour that i bought (3000 Naira, UK used) with my life savings. Trembling with so much fear, i pressed the middle key, there came my result. I looked at it, and behold. . . .
