Five suspected oil pipeline vandals have blown themselves up with dynamite in the creeks of Azagbene, Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, after the device exploded as they attempted to siphon crude oil from a facility in the area.

It was gathered on Saturday that two of the vandals were roasted to death while three others were burnt beyond recognition. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr. Asinim Butswat, when contacted, said the matter had not been officially reported to him, but promised to get in touch with the police heads in the coastal community. But a source said the dynamite malfunctioned, killing the victims of the explosion who were found by villagers the morning after the incident. .

“The indigenes heard the sound of the explosion. It was followed by fire. But in the morning, when they went to the scene they found two dead bodies and three others badly burnt”, he said. It was also gathered that the charred bodies of the vandals have already been moved away from the site of the explosion for burial.

When contacted, the Central Zone Chairman, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Mr. Tare Porri, who confirmed the incident said it occurred on a gas pipeline belonging to the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC). He said the pipeline belonging to Agip linked Azagbene in Ekeremor and other communities in Southern Ijaw local government areas of the state.

“The incident occurred between the communities of Azagbene and Okpotuari and the victims of the explosion were majorly from Azagbene community. They wanted to vandalise an Agip pipeline by detonating dynamite. But something went wrong and they detonated it on themselves.

Sony’s animated comedy The Emoji Movie topped “Baywatch,” “Fifty Shades Darker,” “The Mummy,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

The Transformers XVII:Last Knight in the announcement, led the pack with seven nominations when they were announced on Jan. 22.

“Leading this year’s list of movie-misfires is the emoticon-based, talking poop opus,” the Razzies said. The annual awards were announced on Saturday in their traditional time slot, the day before the Academy Awards.

“The Emoji Movie” won four of the 10 Razzies, also taking worst screenplay, worst director, and worst screen combo, given to “any two obnoxious emojis” from the movie.

Tom Cruise won worst actor for his reboot of “The Mummy” and Tyler Perry took worst actress for “Boo 2! A Madea Halloween.”

“Baywatch” won the inaugural Special Rotten Tomatoes Award: The Razzie Nominee So Bad You Loved It! The award is the result of an online poll with the Rotten Tomatoes.

Cardi B's fiance and Migos rapper, Offset has been targeted again as his sex tape with another woman has made it to the internet.


The celebrity couple have been battling to save their relationship following series of cheating allegations and sex tape leak.
In this new 7sec footage, Offset is clearly seen having sexual relation with an unidentified lady, whose face wasn't captured in the video.


This comes after Cardi B explained to Cosmopolitan why she hasn't called off her engagement to Offset amid all the cheating scandals.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday March 1st , released the results of the just-conducted Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).


The board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria(NANS) on Thursday in Lagos. According to him, candidates are to check their results on line by visiting www.jamb.org.ng with their registration numbers. Benjamin described the conduct of the examination nationwide as hitch-free.


NAN reports that a total of 245,753 candidates registered for the mock examination which took place on Monday.Mock UTME is optional for UTME candidates.

The main UTME is expected to hold from March 9 to March 17

Facebook is making its jobs tool available in more than 40 countries.

A year ago, Facebook made it possible for businesses to create job postings and for job seekers to apply for those openings directly on the social network in the U.S. and Canada.
On Wednesday February 28, Facebook announced it is expanding this tool to more than 40 countries.

Businesses and people on the social network can use the feature for free, which is geared toward helping local businesses find candidates nearby. Since debuting the tool last year, Facebook has added features that allow businesses to create job posts, manage applications and schedule interviews, entirely on mobile.

Job seekers can set up job alerts for the types of roles that interest them. The international expansion, which is rolling out on desktop and on mobile, could help Facebook compete more seriously with other recruitment and jobs platforms such as Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Monster.com.

Facebook's tools are geared toward small businesses, which employ about half of U.S. workers and represent about an important market for Facebook's advertising business.
