@Floki your reason is F-1 visa appointment delay. All countries understand the situation. Your school cannot fast-tract your I-20 because they must follow normal procedures. Besides, they have applicants from all over the world. 👍

Please guys, I reached out to the person assigned to me about the i-20, he said summer has already started.. that I should defer to fall or spring.
Fall is starting August 18th, while spring is starting January 12th. If I defer now, is it possible to get a visa appointment before August 18th?
Or I should wait for spring?

I'm going for a BSc.. I'm 23, I'll be 24 by October.

I did a degree before in a Nigerian university, but I didn't finish.

I hope it won't be a problem?

Good for you. Nice response. The gist of my message if you understand that part is that, lets say out of 50 people like you, a number of them would have a screen they can't use before that "faulty" one ever would fail. Apart from accidents, faults still develop from nowhere. We don't know who out of those 50 would be. Phone ownership is an emotional and status decision -- not a logical one and that's why I'm divesting.

Anyways, enjoy your device until the next fad comes, or…

As I've said before, our people due far more due diligence in buying a phone that they'll grow tired of in 2 years than they do to pick a spouse that they'll be stuck with for a lifetime.

See my black dots bought 2021 for sale. It's presently in use as a hotspot as I cycle all my phones that people want me to throw away because of petty blemishes reflected in reduced price. I'm pretty sure many have bought flashy phones since after this that have already developed screen problem or died anyhow.

I've wasted millions on this useless business of phone (and tablet/laptop) selling because buyers here are really crazy on phone matter. Thank God it is not my main business

I see your point though. I've never used a phone with black dot before, that's why i asked for advice. I play games alot.... which means i'll pressing the screen a lot. Phones are really expensive right now-
I don't think anyone would want to buy one inwhich they will live in constant fear of changing screen.
Samsung Screens are expensive.

Anyways, I was luck enough to see one in perfect condition, and he was closer to me. I bought it this morning. That's what am using to type sef.
And I'm enjoying the device.

I hope it lasts long for me. Fingers crossed.

This depends on the school. The timeline is not the same in every school.

Since you got a response from them saying they’re reviewing your documents, you’ll just have to wait it out. You can still reach out to them at intervals to know the status.

Please how long does this I-20 thing take. I uploaded documents on the 14 of may, I informed the school about it. Got no response, I’m not familiar with the process. I emailed again on the 22nd of may that I had uploaded my affidavit form and proof of finances. I got an auto response email, that the office was closed till the 27th because of public holiday. On the 29th of may, I got another mail, that my documents are being reviewed. And it has been nothing since then.

Does it really take this long?

well going to another country means you'd be applying for the US visa as a third country national (TCN), you can try it as a last resort. but you will still need to prove your home ties and you will face more scrutiny. but it is definitely doable. people have done it
