calculation: I can help, but I don't get what you mean by countershaft. Do you mean Crankshaft? It is also called output speed sensor, usually located on the transmission but I can't locate it on the transmission of honda accord 2008. |

Dwarfgod: No.. it's pure fake! If you open it.. it has no distinct smell. It's smells too plain.. also when you shake it vigorously, it will foam up like say soap dey am and retains the foamy nature for a longer time but the original has a good anti foamy detergent and when shaked vigorously within secs the foam will disappear. Getting original in the market is tough, that is what is usually available. How about valvoline? Can it work?

Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by flootintin: 6:05pm On Jun 17 |
Dwarfgod: Please just avoid this fake knock off! You gear will start misbehaving. You will be experiencing hard shifting, and downshifting when coasting to a stop. Also you will experience transmission flare... e go do like ur solenoid is bad and that is when you take it to a mechanic and your Journey of NO return begins.. also this fake transmission fluid will smell burnt after 1000 miles.. If you ignore the hard shifting etc.. you will be shaving off your transmission particles...
Please buy original Honda aft DW1 and not in tincans... it's sold for 28k to 30k per quart...
You will be needing 8 quarts to do a proper drain and refill x2 if you don put this fake atf inside. And after 10kmiles do another drain and refill to make it normal x3 change recommended. Currently experiencing the same, I want to do drain and fill. Is this original?

jceesquare: I'm suspecting the hard shift happens only when cold right? Those transmission have seals in them that fails and makes the transmission act erratically. The issue might not be externally but within the transmission and might require an invasive repairs (my assumption). Rescan and see if you have any code. Also run a live data on the transmission and see if the solenoids shifts on and off when you shift the gear. If it does, then that confirms my earlier take on mechanical damage within the transmission. Now I am dumbfounded with the erratic nature of the transmission. At startup, apart from the hard shift, it works well. If I shutdown the engine and restart, it goes into limp mode. Remains like that for hours. Check engine light comes up and code is p0780 and manufacturers control. I clear codes still erractic, then after a couple of start and stop it is back normal and remains normal |

Azertise: Happy Sunday chiefs, I met a client recently and he happens to work at moniepoint. Currently, moniepoint is rolling out a payment plan for CNG conversion. You only need to pay about 10% and you'd repay the rest over a set period. The client I met works in that particular department. He says it's still in early testing stage not fully released, but they've tested about 40 drivers. If anyone's interested, let me know I'd mail his contact. Apparently, if you have a moniepoint acct it's not difficult to apply directly from the app, which was what he mentioned, but I don't have a moniepoint acct nor was I keen to convert so I didn't pursue it. Interested, 08133131957 - whatsapp |

jceesquare: Have you fixed the transmission issue? Kindly update the house if replacing the solenoid was the only part needed for the fix. Thanks for asking. I got a working solenoid, car no longer throws p0756. The transmission worked well for a couple of days then started harsh shift from P to D or R. Yesterday, I am back at D light blinking, tranny hangs at 2, occasionally shifts to 3 ironically, no code. Before this started, I had to rev high to shift to 3. Was thinking of changing the gear 3 pressure switch but now, I am at sea again. |

calculation: For you to conclude to change solenoid, it means you have conclude that is the faulty part that need to change. Let me tell you that you need to be sure that the problem is mechanical ( hydraulic ) or electrical in nature. In your case, check that solenoid is working okay ( both removed and new install solenoid ). Also ensure no problem along the wire. Try to check the hydraulic path the solenoid is working with in the transmission.
Am now asking you, which is the problem reside? Note, if you replace any part with good part and it is not what is causing the problem, then the code or problem will remain. Based on assessment with technician at oyingbo, the issues is mechanical. The wiring were properly terminated and every solenoid installed works initially but after a test drive, I noticed the downshift when braking or stopping is erratic with a jerk occasionally. Another solenoid flare when upshift from 2 to 3. Another jerks in reserve hence the code returns. The solenoid that came with the car also exhibits these behavior too and is currently in use. |

tojahh: I don't really need you to take me serious. No Pearl. Don't take me serious. The one time you should take me serious is give me the number of the SEVERAL people (just give me one person) let's confirm your statement as fact. Apart from "Unnoticeable" engine power reduction on stop and go while on CNG, there's no demerits it cause on the engine, again, whatever you were managing on fuel, once you install CNG, it will not manage it, it will show its head immediately because of its no emission system trail. Drop this hearsay bro. You don't use CNG, you haven't been where it was installed or know anything about its technology. Just stick to your fuel sir. Don't always rush into what you don't know it lowers the sense of reasoning as a matured man. You want full disclosure, go to the conversion center near you and get necessary disclosure. Its so simple. What I won't close eye to is you misleading peeps here from hearsay. Just give me the contact if anyone you know that CNG caused his engine problems I assure you I'll record our conversation and send it to you on all channel and declare here that I've been wronged and apologized.
Anything aside for this. You're talking in the nonsense. Any idea of a conversion station around Abule Egba axis? |

Ktaophyc: This looks like a mix of electrical issues and failing Solenoid. Have this checked by your Auto Electrician. I got the rewire to check the wiring and no defect was found. I also changed the solenoid but on test driving with the replacement solenoid, I noticed the same issue with code p0780. I also noticed that the fluid in the solenoid is darker that at the dipstick. At the dipstick, the fluid is clear but at the solenoid, it is dark. Do I need to drain and refill? |

Please advice, I had the drive light blinking and VSA light on when I hard accelerated from 1 to 2 over the weekend. The transmission stopped shifting and when I scanned, the code was P0756. I cleared the code and transmission worked again. I noticed that the code comes up when I drive on bad untarred road. The code is shift solenoid B stuck off. What do I do? |

luvinhubby: You have a bad ABS sensor that triggered the VSA & ABS light. The TPMS light can be managed if you don't want to replace your tire monitoring sensor Please advice, I had the drive light blinking and VSA light on when I hard accelerated from 1 to 2 over the weekend. The transmission stopped shifting and when I scanned, the code was P0756. I cleared the code and transmission worked again. I noticed that at startup, the engine revs high to shift to 3 then normalizes throughout the day. How do I resolve the high rev in order to shift to 3 and what can be done to stop the code from coming up during hard acceleration? |
