I know people are going to lambast me for this but taking a closer look at the governors the state has had since the inception of democracy in 1999,I think he is head and shoulder above the rest.
I don't want to join the bandwagon of those saying owelle is a thief, or owelle is a 419ner, and am also not a fan of owelle so u can spare me the tounge lashing. i also know too well he is well below average if we are to rate him on what good governance should be,but then we should cut him some slack and criticism.
people will criticize him from building bad road to building round about, from opening up uping up of unnecessary link up roads to Christmas decorations,from free education to owing of salaries(of which he did soo well in his first tenure) but the things is would any one had done better? I tell people,you will criticize the decorations and the road beautification and term it wastage but then you will laud other states if you see something like that's there. mind you am not trying to defend him after all my parents are pentionieers owed up to 8 months depending from which month you are counting from soo I don't have any course to defend him but the side talks and criticism is getting out of hand.let's look at it from this angle, he has given IMO people memories that will last (be it good or bad) even after he is gone that the previous two administrations didn't do. I will struggle to remembered what achike udenwa or ohakim did for the state off the top of my head (not putting them down though) and am nt saying the did nothing but judging the three governors soo far you can agree with me that owelle is the best soo far. let's be mindful of what we wish for!!!!
