Good thing you spotted his con on time. My friend who served in Sokoto had a similar experience but in her own case the job was purported to be Shell. The caller articulated her name the exact way she registered it in Sokoto during her NYSC. She knew it was a con right away!Those guys must have gotten access to records of former youth corpers one way or the other. @Sleeksvbvy..I am not sure you understand the gist of my narrative. I am simply advocating that user names who put up false recruitment adverts under established brands like Wema bank,Glaxo Smithkline or Subuola School should be blocked. These individuals are giving this web site a bad name, and some of these organisations may decide to take action,just like Chevron and First bank did some years back. We are all on the same team here..

There have been quite a handful of red flags popping up all over this job site for weeks. From scammers employing well established brand names to scam unsuspecting individuals. You need to stop all these unpleasantness,right now before they drag your name in the mud. You are an established brand too,and you have worked so had to acquire so much social capital. I hate to see it ruined by a handful of bad eggs. A neighbour of mine who works in the media unit of a company mentioned by a scammer on another job site,is considering publishing a disclaimer in the Guardian,stating that any job recruitment linked to his company's name on that job site is a scam. I know some companies may be considering this line of action too. The ball is in your court,block this people now!....Mr Moderator.

For those of us struggling with "expected remuneration if employed",I believe we should just go with industrial average with is usually between 75k to 130k per month. In my opinion, whatever amount you quote is negotiable,if in the end you have the skill set that matches their requirements.

This a very compelling and well thought out memo. But sadly it has all the hallmarks of a brilliant scammer..proceed with caution..or better still,ignore the mail totally. Any recruitment advert from the UK is a scam,this is the newest "format."The Uk and Eurozone hasn't seen much economic growth in recent months to warrant job openings from developing countries..
