Webmasters › Resolving HTTP 504 Timeouts During High-volume API & Lead Pipeline Syncs by flsc(op): 11:42am On Aug 28
Hello Nairaland Tech & Webmaster Community,

We are optimizing background worker listener stability and remote webhook payload syncs across integrated software endpoints.

Technical Setup:

Our integration environment at Frontline Sales Consultancy (flsc.co.uk) triggers automated sales lead updates and REST API syncs over HTTPS (TLS 1.3).

The Issue We're Facing:

Under heavy concurrent load spikes, background POST webhook listener sockets occasionally report HTTP 504 gateway timeouts before acknowledging payload completion.

Direct REST requests to the same remote host resolve normally within 150ms thresholds.

Are there recommended network socket keep-alive settings or queue worker retries to prevent connection drops during high-volume API data syncs?

Any insights on optimizing asynchronous background threads would be appreciated!

Thanks!
