See what u should do.

Write them email as MissNK suggested with title of submission of missing documents and explain to them you had appointment but couldn't proceed as your certificate was not with u since it was not on the checklist.

Explain your first class blaablaa and upload the documents. They will rebook u.

What’s their email address I can send this message to? I’ve sent emails to info@lago.diplo.de and I’ve not gotten any reply

Well I applied too on the portal and got the same message as this. I'm just hoping that it is really not the case at all. Also, I don't think there's anyone on the waiting list who has been given notification to apply for the appointment date.

When you applied before how many weeks did it take to get appointment date?

Well, it was during the Christmas period, December 16th and I got January 27th as the appointment date.

I don’t know how long it took to actually process and how the holidays affected it because the Consulate General was closed for a large portion of December.

I also called the visa section and it seems like they’re not sure what’s going on as well so everything is a bit up in the air right now.

I just tried on a new account and I got the same message again

That's not correct. When you open your account, they'll ask some questions like if you have a scholarship or not. Seems you've forgetten

I think what you’re referring to is the questionnaire. Yes it did ask about scholarship status but didn’t mention anything other than that.

I qualify for category A as a first-class graduate and I cannot see any option to indicate that

It was updated last week. Make sure you fill your data currently in the fields that categorize you as CAT A. You'll be asked to upload everything and get an appointment after they check your docs..

From what I filled, there’s nothing that categorizes as category A. It’s just student visa with admission. This is the screen I got after submitting

A little correction.CAT A applicants can no longer book an appointment on the consulate website, but only on the consulate digital portal(New system)

Do you know of any one that has received an appointment date from this new system?

I have applied but it says that the waiting period could be over a year and that worries me.

It was my degree certificate. I did not seen where it was requested for in the student checklist and at my appointment I was asked to prove I was in category A.

I had my transcript and thought that would be sufficient proof but I was denied.

Go and register on the appointment portal. The consular portal is not yet active for study visas. When you book, you get appointment within 1- 4 weeks for CAT A. Most get within 2 weeks

Please could you send the link for the appointment portal. I’m a category A student and my appointment date was 27th January but I was denied for incomplete documents. I’m looking for how to book another appointment very quickly because my school starts very soon.
