Now, it's time for denial.

APC was simply waiting for PDP to make it's move and now we know.

If Wike had somehow won the PDP nomination, Jonathan would have been confirmed as the APC candidate in a deal with Tinubu, knowing full well that he can only do one full term as president.
And moreover, Wike would not really stand a chance against Goodluck Jonathan (his political godfather).

Now Atiku has won it, there really is no way for Jonathan to win against an Atiku, and therefore no need for him.

So everybody can now come out and deny that such a plan ever existed. The whole secrecy was deliberate.
