Myer: You do realize that discernment is also a gift of the spirit. Some times God doesn't expressly speak but we can perceive who aligns with his will. To claim the spirit of God chose any of our politicians will be questionable because they are all riggers of election. Selah To believe God cannot chose any of our politicians shows you don't know God. Cyrus was was a gentile chosen by God because of Israel. He wasn't a child of God and never was. God always have a candidate. His children aren't interested in his will. |

Myer: I judged them by the word of God, not my own standard. The primary criterion for knowing who is righteous before God is who believes and follows Jesus Christ. It is not I who judge them but the word of God.
But I am not deciding my vote based on who is a follower of Christ or who is righteous as I do not see anyone of them as righteous. But who aligns with the will of God by my discernment. I am not forcing my opinion on anyone simply sharing my observations and postulations. Everyone ultimately has the free will to agree with it or disagree with it. The word of God didn't say the sons of God will be led by discernment. It said, as many as are led by the spirit of God. If God can not lead you on who to vote for? Your sonship with God is questionable. Coming out of the water, the spirit led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. Do you think by discernment Jesus would have gone into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil? |

Zephaniah 3:9-11 King James Version 10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. 11 In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
They fled to a place beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, the land shadowing with wings. Do you know how many times Israel has been carried away captive by other nations before Rome? Do you think all went back? There are many Israel who lived in Babylon as captives, gained their freedom and remained there and multiplied. |

Myer: Like I rightly said, by my own human observation. God ultimately knows each person and their standing in their journey with him. That is why it is not our place to play judge and condemn people. But you have already condemn all the candidates. If you are a Christian, you should ask God who to vote for. As many as are led by the spirit of God are the sons of God. The candidate you think doesn't stand a chance maybe God's choice. The question is, is your vote for God's will or your own will as a Christian? In one of the post, I said Paul failed in his ministry. That is because he chose his own will against the will of God when he thought he has arrived. Jesus himself could do nothing without the father's approval. |

Myer: Righteousness is two-fold.
1. imputed righteousness is right-standing with God through faith in Jesus Christ. This is the gift of God which we obtain by grace simply for placing our faith in Jesus Christ. Not of works lest anyone should boast. Eph 2:8
2. Works of righteousness which grows as we follow the sanctification journey in obedience to the Holy Spirit. The fruits we bear that show that we are in Christ. Romans 8
By my own human observation, I have not seen any of the presidential candidates that meet either of this criteria. By your own observations God cannot input righteousness on any of the candidates? Was Cyrus righteous? The average African Christian plays God too much. We claim to know God without knowing him. |

If pounded yam and vegetable soup mysteriously landed in a community that had never encountered either, how would they know what they were, how they were prepared, or whether they were even meant to be eaten?
You said someone would have to explain their value to them. Exactly! So, you can think logically but when it comes to your religious beliefs, you become Pinky?
Now apply that same reasoning to the Bible. If people need someone to tell them that the book is God's word, explain its stories, defend its contradictions and convince them of its divine authority, then how exactly does the book independently establish that it is the word of God?
That is precisely what my poll is asking. Not how Christianity spreads through missionaries, printing presses and evangelism, but whether people would independently recognise the Bible as divine revelation without prior religious instruction.😂 How are students convinced that the knowledge in a book can make the Doctors and Engineers? |

Myer: I did not receive that revelation, I believe he is in the best position to unravel it.
However Saul and Paul are simply two different identities of the same person having been transformed upon his encounter with Christ.
Hence Saul could represent the time of hardship/persecution which can be attributed to the first term. While Paul could represent the time of salvation and glorification/prosperity which by God's grace will be attributed to the second term.
Or Saul could be Buhari while Paul could be Tinubu.
Or Saul could be Tinubu while Paul would be the next president that will succeed him either after his 4 years or 8 years.
May God's good will be done. Which Paul? Paul that failed in his ministry? Or which one? |

I know it is a long read but if you will make time to read through, by God's grace, you will understand the message. Thanks
P.S: God does appoint leaders when He chooses to. Eg King Saul and David. It can be argued that Donald Trump was appointed by God for USA especially in the first term even with his many flaws because he aligned with the will of God. Did you see any where I mentioned Obi? What in your opinion is righteousness? Before God chose Saul, what did he tell Samuel? Saul can be liked to Tinubu. Saul was the people's choice not God's choice. |
Politics › Re: Why President Tinubu Deserves Second Term by focusNig: 8:40pm On Nov 05 |
Myer: The template for unseating Tinubu has clearly been revealed which is a coalition of the opposition parties to produce one formidable prewidential candidate against Tinubu.
You should ask yourself why are they all resisting this obvious game-changer?
1. Because their individual personal ambition is greater than stepping down for the people's will. Peter Obi himself could not agree to the possibility of step pingaside for any one else to lead the coalition except himself in a recent BBC interview.
2. Because there seems to be a confusion in the camp of the opposition ever since the 2023 presidential elections. Who was the template revealed to? |
Politics › Re: Why President Tinubu Deserves Second Term by focusNig: 6:29pm On Nov 05 |
Myer: This is not a popular opinion but an insightful one. The basis of my advocacy for Tinubu's second term is based on biblical principles and critical observation and examination of his first term performance.
This is not a support for APC as we can all see that this administration is not being run by our typical ideals of men of integrity. Most of whom have cases of corruption trailing their previous and even present portfolios. Some of which are true, some false.
This is also not an attack on Obidients as truly, they are the realists in reacting to the actual economic hardships in the land. Their support for Peter Obi is mostly borne out of a need to see a "man of integrity" run this country for a change. Even though it could be alleged that Buhari already towed this template and failed.
So what actually is this?
This is a case for Tinubu based on how he seems to align with God's will in this time and season regarding the nation of Nigeria perhaps because of God's concern for his children domiciled here. Highlighted here are some of my postulations;
1. Nigeria has often gotten the presidents we deserve. Let's face it we have a majority of citizens who are themselves corrupt. And it is out of this majority that our government comprises. We are a nation recycling corrupt politicians. A bad tree cannot produce a good fruit. Even the gospel that is preached in majority of our churches is producing corrupt believers. Selah.
2. Prior to the 2023 elections, the hopes of Nigerians in the "corruption Messianic"campaign of Buhari had been dashed. It seemed his administration even produced a more corrupt governance than his predecessors. Nigerians also suffered major economic blows having depleted her foreign reserves and cost of living had become unbearable for the masses. Insecurity ravaged the lands. Terrorism, kidnapping and banditry that seemed majorly domiciled in the North had spread their tentacles to all geopolitical zones under APC/Buhari's administration. The church faced persecutions, kidnappings and all forms of attacks more than it had ever experienced.
3. Nigerians having lost hope in man were forced to cry to God. Churches like never before rallied and prepared their congregations towards the election, charging members to secure their PVCs in order to vote enmasse and embarking on fasting and prayers not for personal needs only but also to intercede on behalf of Nigeria. Even casual/carnal Christians fasted and prayed because the hardship had touched the bones, indiscriminate of status, tribe, gender, class age, religion, etc. This fulfilled biblical principle of 2 Chronicles 7:14.
4. The question is do we believe that God heard our cries and answered our prayers? Do we believe in God's sovereignty? Do we trust God's way? Do we believe that God is faithful to his principles/promises? The answer is introspective.
5. Some believers prayed that God should give us Peter Obi. Some prayed that it should be Osinbajo. Some prayed that it should be Tinubu. Some probably prayed for any of the other presidential candidates. One common denominator is that we all prayed for God's intervention. And the thoughts of God and the ways of God are not the thoughts and ways of man, except by divine revelation can we peek into the mind of God. And thank God, by the word and spirit of God we have the mind of Christ. Selah. 1 Cor 2:16.
Continued in the comment. The bible says, When the righteous is in power the people rejoice, but when the wicked is in power the people moan. The word when means the choice of power lies in the hand of the people not God. When you choose a righteous leader, you will rejoice not God. God doesn't give people leaders. |

sonmvayina: After Saint Peter died (martyred by crucifixion under Emperor Nero around AD 64–67), the earliest immediate successors—often obscure figures by modern historical records—led a small, underground, and heavily persecuted Christian community in Rome
The First Immediate Successors
According to the Catholic Church's List of popes and early Christian tradition (such as writings by St. Irenaeus), the sequence of the first few popes went , Peter was the first, his name was Cephas and j-man renamed him peter which means rock and was handed the keys to the kingdom of God. so if you really interested in the kingdom of God you need to be a catholic, they have the keys. on that day they might not let you in, they are going to man the 12 gates of that kingdom. so? peter and Paul suffered martyrdom on the same day, the 29th day of June 64CE, so Paul can not be in the mix, because when he was around peter as still the pope. after peter death, the mandate was handed to Linus, to bring together the church under the persecutions of the romans......
2. St. Linus (c. 64/67 – c. 76/79 AD): Widely recognized as the second pope. Tradition holds he was from Tuscany, was mentioned in the New Testament (2 Timothy 4:21), worked quietly to organize the young church, and died a martyr
3. St. Anacletus / Cletus (c. 76/79 – c. 88 AD): Often noted as the third pope (sometimes historically confused or split into two names, Cletus and Anacletus, in older lists), he was of Greek origin and is traditionally venerated as a martyr
4. St. Clement I (c. 88/92 – 97 AD): The fourth pope, famous for writing a pastoral letter (1 Clement) to the church in Corinth to resolve local disputes. Tradition states he was eventually martyred by being tied to an anchor and thrown into the sea then followed st Evaristus who reigned from late first century to early second century.
What Life and the Church Were Like Then
1. Living Under Persecution: Christianity was an illegal or illicit sect in the eyes of the Roman Empire. Early popes and Christians frequently had to meet in secret, in private homes, or in catacombs to avoid arrest, torture, or execution.
2. Martyrdom: Most of these early bishops of Rome are traditionally believed to have died as martyrs for refusing to offer sacrifice to Roman gods or the emperor.
3. Local Leadership to Roman Primacy: At this stage, the Bishop of Rome functioned largely as a local shepherd and "first among equals" among early Christian communities, gradually establishing authority and organizational structure long before the papacy acquired political or territorial power centuries later (such as after Constantine's conversion in the 4th century Please what is the kingdom of God and what is the key of the kingdom of God? NTRODUCTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL AND OTHER MAJOR CHANGES IN NIGERIAN POLITICS
*He was the first gubernatorial candidate in Nigeria to legally challenge to its logical conclusion, his governorship electoral victory that was denied him. He won in the Courts and reclaimed his mandate.
*He was the first Governor in Nigeria to legally challenge his wrongful impeachment and was reinstated by the Courts.
*He was the first Governor in Nigeria to seek the interpretation of tenures of Governors when INEC allowed elections to take place in Anambra State when his tenure had not expired; the election already concluded was cancelled and he was allowed to complete his tenure.
*He was the first Governor to serve a 2nd term in both the new and old Anambra State, that is, almost 40 years after creation of the State.
*He was the first Governor, whilst still in Office, to be appointed a Special Adviser to the President.
*He was the first serving Governor to be appointed into the Presidential Economic Management Team.
*He was among the first Governors to be honoured with a National Award in 2011, while still in office.
*Though the only Governor whose political party was in government in only one State, he was elected Vice-Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum twice.
*Though the only non-PDP Governor in the South-East (made up of 5 States), he was elected by the other 4 PDP Governors as their Chairman for 8 years rather than the usual one year.
FUNDAMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE (PARTIAL LISTING)
1. Anambra was the first State to commence Sub-Sovereign Wealth savings, the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa. At a time many other Governors were leaving huge debts, I left the equivalent of $500 million Dollars in investment as well as local and foreign currency, including $156 million in Dollar-denominated bonds.
2. For the first time in the history of Anambra State, Ambassadors and High Commissioners of notable countries such as United States, Britain, Russia, European Union, South Africa, Belgium, Israel, the Netherlands, Canada, among others, visited the State. Before my tenure, Anambra was practically a pariah state blacklisted by the Diplomatic Corps and international development partners.
3. Development partners such as UNDP, UNICEF, the World Bank, DFID, the European Union etc., which hitherto were not in Anambra State started working with the State. Anambra was consistently adjudged one of the best states in development partnership and commitment to reforms for good governance.
4. He was recognised as Best Governor by the Millennium Development Goals Office (OSSAP-MDGs) and the UNDP in the implementation of their programmes in Nigeria.
5. The Nigerian Debt Management Office (DMO) rated Anambra as the least indebted state in Nigeria. In spite of visible and measurable achievements recorded in various sectors, the State under him did not borrow or raise bonds for her various projects.
6. The Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria rated Anambra State as the most financially stable state in the country.
7. The State's ground-breaking return of schools to their original owners - Voluntary Agencies (Churches) on 1st January 2009, and subsequent partnership with the Agencies in Education, saw the State move from 24th position out of 36 States to Number One in National Examination Council (NECO) and West African Examination Council (WAEC) examinations for three consecutive years. This made the World Bank to commission a study, led by the renowned Prof. Paul Collier of Oxford University, on this revolutionary partnership and phenomenal achievement.
8. The State also entered into strategic partnership with the Churches in the Health sector. This symbiotic relationship resulted in a tremendous boost to health care because of the services offered by health institutions owned by Voluntary Agencies, while the State restored grants to the agencies and made available to them more than 50 million Dollars in various types of support.
10. Through partnership with the Church in the Health sector, his Government funded the transformation of -:
a: Iyienu Hospital, Ogidi; b: Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Ihiala; c: St Charles Borromeo Hospital, Onitsha; d: Holy Rosary Hospital, Waterside, Onitsha; and e: St. Joseph Hospital, Adazi-Nnukwu. His Government also built the Joseph Nwilo Heart Centre in St. Joseph, Adazi-Nnukwu, where heart operations are now being performed.
11. His Government won the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (1 Million dollars) as the best-performing state in immunisation in the South-East. With complementary funding from our Government, they used the money to build 10 Maternal and Child Care Centres across the State, particularly in rural communities, in partnership with the Churches.
12. The State was the first to procure and distribute more than 30,000 computers to secondary schools, including 22,500 from HP. The Managing Director for Personal Systems Group HP Inc, Mr. FabriceCampoy described the deployment as the biggest of such projects in the Middle-East and Africa.
13. Anambra State Government provided Microsoft Academies to more than 500 secondary schools, which the Head of Microsoft in Nigeria (Mr. Ken Span) described as the biggest such deployment in Africa so far.
14. The State provided Internet access to more than 500 secondary schools, which the CEO of Galaxy Backbone (Mr. Gerald Ilukwe) characterized as incomparable to any in the country.
15. More than 700 buses were provided to secondary schools in the State by our Government.
16. Boreholes were provided in schools all over the State.
17. Numerous classrooms were built in all the 177 communities of the State.
18 As part of the efforts to turn around the economy of the State, a number of companies were attracted to build their facilities in the Anambra State. A case in point is SABMiller, the 2nd largest brewery in the world, which built their first Green Field facility in the State, which is today one of the most successful facilities they operate globally.
19. A number of other companies followed the SABMiller initiative and were all supported and encouraged under our Government; a good example is INNOSON Motor Manufacturing Company, from which our government bought more than 1,000 vehicles.
20. Anambra State for the first time started close collaboration with recognized government security agencies (the Police, Army, Navy, Department of State Security, Civil Defence, among others), offering them various types of support including provision of more than 500 security vehicles. The improvement in security was phenomenal, such that the former IG of Police (Abubakar Mohammed) lauded Anambra State for not witnessing any bank robbery in my last three years in office.
21. To further enhance security, Anambra State provided at least one security vehicle to each of all the 177 communities in the State as well as various organizations such as markets and Churches.
22. His Administration conceived and built, from scratch, the first state-owned Teaching Hospital, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu teaching Hospital, Awka.
23. His Government commenced the planned development of the Igbariam Campus of the ChukwuemekaOdumegwu-Ojukwu University, including the fencing, construction of internal roads, electrification, construction of the Faculty of Law, Auditorium, Administrative Block, Faculty of Agriculture, Management Building, among others).
24. His Government attracted the World Bank support on erosion - National Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP) - to Anambra State.
25. His Government was the first to do Poverty Mapping in Nigeria, as a guide for the effective implementation of our poverty-alleviation strategies.
26 His Government, for the first time, undertook the aerial mapping of Awka as well as the production of Structure Plans for Awka Capital Territory, Onitsha and Nnewi.
27. During his tenure and with his Government's support, Anambra State became an oil producing State.
28. He built the first Secretariat Complex to house State Government Ministries that were hitherto scattered around the State.
29. His government commenced the development of the 'Three Arms Zone' comprising Government House/Governor’s Lodge, Legislative Building/Speakers Residence, and Judiciary Building with Chief Judge’s Residence.
30. By the end of his tenure in 2014, more than twelve (12) health institutions, including two hospitals, had secured accreditation; when we took off in 2006, no health institution in Anambra State was duly accredited.
31. Anambra State was the first to undergo national peer review, which scrutinised State Governments for good governance, through the State Peer Review Mechanism (SPRM), an initiative of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum in collaboration with the DFID..
TAKE AWAY:
1. He ran the most secured state in Nigeria during his tenure. Former IGP Abubarkar gave him 5 years accollades of the most secured state back to back for 5 years.
2. The minister of works then gave him the best accolade of a governor that built 800km of road network in 8years
3. Educationally , He met Anambra at 26th position in 2006 and left it at 1st by 2014 when he was leaving.
4. He was the only governor that met the millennium development goal in Nigeria in both education and health. In fact , Milinda and bill gate foundation gave him a personal gift of 1 million dollar for his achievement. Which he dropped in the state account rather than putting in his own private account.
5. He is the only former governor today that does not collect pension, gratuity, land gift and allowances since he left the govt in 2014.
6. When he became SEC chairman under President Jonathan, he told SEC to hold back all his allowance and entitlement as a Board chairman . He left without nothing. He said he does not need them.
When he was chairman of fidelity bank , he was entitled to two brand new cars annually. He told the board. I don't need them. Let me just come for meetings and go home.
You can only be angry with him. You cannot change the facts.

truthera: Typical Nigerian slave mentality, when you have nothing meaningful to say, you go on a personal attack.... Prove to me that you are a part owner of Nigeria by showing me a constitution that you and your people contributed to create, a constitution that genuinely represents your interest then maybe I will take you seriously..... There is nothing defeatist in accepting the truth that Nigeria in its current form is nothing but a British colonial project that exists to safeguard the selfish interest of a few local and foreign powerful political entities against the masses.... Nah you created the constitution? The same gibbish some lunatic fed you is what you go about repeating everyday. Who among those living now in America was among those that wrote American constitution? |

nairalanda1: Man, at the end, no country lives off oil
Nigeria trying to do as you have said is why we are underdeveloped, corrupt, and broke.
Manufactured goods and services is the way forward. Please stop peddling this, it's stale already. Nigerian problem is not production or lack of money or resources. Our problem is corruption. We don't use the one we have efficiently. |

lumay2: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to steer the Nigeria economy toward achieving $1 trillion economy by 2030. This size of economy is to be achieved in four(4) years from now. The economic policies are believed to help in achieving this goal including different External Borrowing Plans. African nation economies have always been robust except that people on the continent are still mostly living in poverty. Nigerian economy has been recently expressed in terms of the country's financial reserves. We live in a country that seems like a father that has billions in savings in the bank but the family members are in penury. I am yet to understand why the economy of Nigeria is drifting yearly towards poor quality of life for average Nigerian since independence. The elites and political class may have different opinion about this view. However, the current crops of Nigeria leaders were the youths that had the best of Nigeria. When a university graduate can buy a Volkswagen beetle with car loan. If the current administration of Federal Republic of Nigeria has set a goal of $1 trillion economy, what does it mean for a common man? Trillion economy on borrowing? Why do people like being deceived? |

aswani: I disagree with the former assertion by you sha, after Shettima, Prof Soludo will be President of the Federal republic of Nigeria. Stop living in delusions. Atiku thought he will be the biggest politician every four years better and bigger politicians are born. Time wait for no man. In four years, Soludo and many politicians will either become local champions or they are completely out of politics. |

truthera: I came across the thread “Peter Obi Suffering From Exhaustion - NDC” featured in the home page of this website. I am not surprised over the coverup by the NDC calling Obi’s latest ordeal as merely “exhaustion” because just like so many other readers will agree that no one who is exhausted will take a 10 to 16 hours flight to another country when he can just simply go to his house and sleep to regain his strength. Also, there is rumor all over social media that Peter Obi’s neck is broken and he is incapacitated, in all stories peddled online, one wonders what really happened to Peter Obi to warrant the unplanned emergency medical travel out of Nigeria.
I warned Peter Obi severally in previous posts made on this platform that he will be opening himself for dangerous sabotage as an Igbo man over the futile quest to rule the contraption called Nigeria but he and his supporters won’t listen. The owners of Nigeria do not want an Igbo president, even if he wins, the next election will be rigged in a sophisticated way to ensure Tinubu (Yoruba man) or Atiku (Fulani man) emerge as the winner. I will once again reiterate that if Peter Obi genuinely want to help Nigerians, he needs to collapse he presidential ambition and join the movement to push for a referendum that will allow his people the Igbos to leave Nigeria. Peter Obi and his supporters need to understand that Nigeria’s national politics, presidential office is not for the Igbos, he can be killed if he continues in his attempts to force through an Igbo presidency against Nigeria’s unjust political structures and against the wishes of the real owners of “One Nigeria”..... It is glaring the NDC is been economical with the truth but I hope the sudden emergency travel to USA was done due to “exhaustion” as reported by his party.
As long as the 1999 military constitution remains, Nigeria is a contraption that exists to safeguard the selfish interests of a few powerful political forces that have a standing agreement which does not involve an Igbo presidency….. Peter Obi and his supporters need to wake up from their fantasy dreams of Igbo presidency….. How will the owners of the contraption, who dislike his people, make him the savior of “One Nigeria” by allowing him to fix a system that was created to benefit them?
IMHO, if Peter Obi does not learn the easy way now about the futility of his presidential ambition because of his foolish love for “One Nigeria”, hopefully he will learn the hard way early next year once the political owners of the contraption are done dealing with him.….. Referendum remains the best route to sustainable prosperity, it is the only way to liberate the people from the retrogressive bondage of “One Nigeria”….. Saying Nigeria is owned by others why you are born a Nigeria is defeatist mentality. You will remain defeated until you believe you are a part owner of a thing. |
