The goal isn't to totally wipe out piracy, it is for copyright holders to device genius (albeit crude) ways like this to minimize piracy.
This is a case of publishers taking matters into their hands, since so called Nigerian "authorities" have proven useless in curbing piracy to a manageable degree.

I'm pretty positive this is a feature which only appears when the original prints are photocopied. In my opinion, it is a GENIUS move.

Piracy is still a big deal in Nigeria from all indications, and if publishers do not take such drastic steps, nothing will be done.

It's not Photoshop...O once showed that to my physics teacher back then in SCHOOL. There are more to those. I neva understood all those text. Perhaps there is something EVIL attached to it, I don't know. Thank God the public is now aware of that.
