Lets look at the fundamentals: Do we treat our local coaches the way we treat foreign coaches yet we want them to achieve the same result( can we agree to pay a Nigerian a month salary for coaching for 10-20days in a month or atimes complete absence for a month, impossible). Oyinbo man cannot pay u if u are absent at your duty post for a day. we can afford to owe our indigenous coaches but not Oyinbo Coach. Even the salary package is a lot of difference. until we learn to beleive and respect ourselves we cant get the best from these indigenous coaches.They have the latent ability and intelligence that can make them excel if given the necessary support and Encouragement. As for the technicalities, the spanicsh boys play for teams like Barca, Madrid and athletico Madrid feeder teams while our boys are based in the Local leagues. We all have to learn the great lesson which is that we have a great lot of potentials locally that have not been tapped. U need to see how perfectly they took the penalties, the spaniards were so confident they will win the Penalties. Check out the water-tight defence and the not so bad midfielders. The spanish midfield was choked with 5 midfielders but the nigerian defence line did a wonderful work to mop-up all their efforts. At the end of 120 mins, via penalty shoot out, Nigeria scored three fantastic penalties while the foreign based spaniards cannot get a goal pass the wonder boy Ajiboye(goalkeeper), its not a fluke guys , but a job well done. All hail the eaglets , ITS FOOTBALL MADE IN AFRICA, NAIJA TO BE SPECIFIC. It is not by Fluke that our boys are making Waves all over Europe.

its not easy as u are thinking, u have a lot of things to prove.we have discussed something like that in the past.
It ca easly be denied.

lets not be deceived by any one, the facts are, can 44 lecturers invade classrooms and disrupt a whole university exams. are they not entitle to go on strike when the condition of service is not right. Have they been found wanting in the discharge of there duties in the universities? take note that Unilorin as at that time has multi campus, with the teaching hospital.The sacked lectures cut across the campuses and teaching hospital. There case is simply that of victimisation, why didnt obasanjo sack the whole civil service during the various strikes during His tenure or sack the Niger Delta militants that has been casing trouble. Yar'adua is not soft rather he's been civil and responsive Some of these lecturers are Dead today, some are doing really great, i know of some that were automatically employed even by the teaching hospital because they are too good to be lost. Some of them already had all their Kids out of University as at the time of the strike and their kids doing fine so they can survive without paid jobs. Was these how the universities were during obasanjo's youthful days?

Kudos to Yar'adua, arrogance will take nobody anywhere rather we should embrace continuos dialogue and embrace logical reasoning.

My people, are u surprised, no be here we dey wey dem manipulate elections.As they are through with general polls, they have to face themselves. Have u all forgotten that evil that men do lives with them not after them. Una never see o intrigues and power play just start, they will rise against themselves. Fellow Nairalanders,What do you feel about senator Davids Marks comment with regrds to the last NLC strike, that they will soon loose public sympathy. As the no 3 man in hierachy, he should be more diplomatic and find ways of mediating between the Unions and Federal Government, rather than making such statements. Our leaders need to be more sensitive with regards to there comments because of the exaulted position they occupy
