guess the turtle is already digesting in some people's abdominal cavity by now. rest in peace turtle, it was a misadventure landing at oniru |
@poster, you committed an error urself, you cannot be absolved of the same sin "Teller : I said right the amount in figures" it should be "write" and not "right" LMAO |
Hw can they pass when western education is forbidden (Boko Haram), they are busy working for BH so they can never pass, they educational system in d northern nigeria is so backward and they are not ready to change. When u see the no of Gombe student that will be admitted into the university you will see its gonna be far greater than 17 because of the nonsense quota system the govt is using, so hw will they ever understand competition and be serious wit their studies |
Dont Mind them they are all f**g homosexuals, they cant think straight anymore because of semen blocking their brain cells, if not they should know the difference btw their country laws and another sovereign country laws. And to think they are actually threatening us with aid is a further confirmation that they have lost it, who cares about their useless aids (when we can all see the way they are scrambling for Libya's wealth), they can keep it as they need it more than us afterall the eurozone is in crisis. We are born survivors and hustler, we will be fine. Now my verdict is simple, UK must legalise polygamy if not we will send Shell and all their cronies out of Nigeria. AFterall anyone should be able to take as many spouses as they want because it is their own fundamental human right just the same way they are arguing for homosexuals. Arrant Nonsense and rubbish, do they think they can impose their bigoted thinking on us. We are not animals, man no they shag man for here, they can keep that to their soddom and Gommorah of a country. Useless people, come on peeps, tell the UK govt to Shuttttt up and piss, off. Mtchewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww |
It is surprising the way people of my generation on this forum make comparism, if we continue this way then their no hope for this country. Is it that we have allow the elites to brain wash us? or are we failing to apply logical reasoning? If Uk student pays £5k, they have access to student loans, the country do not have natural resources like nigeria, minimum wage is like £5/hr which is like 1250 naira. If Uk at a population of about 70 million and revenue greatly derived from Tax can still afford a good welfare system, it is justified if they decide to charge £5k for tuition. And note that the tuition still comes as loan that is payable after school when the beneficiary is aready earning above a certain threshold. Now Nigeria has Oil and other resources that is not beneficial to her citizens, minimum wage is less than £100/month (infact majority lives on les than $1/day), no access to student loan or any form of loans, the govt cannot even adequately finance the university. I am tired of the logic of comparing UK to nigeria when it comes to paying for utilities. In what ways has any govt policies been beneficial to the citizens? all the phcn bills we have been paying have not guaranteed steady supply to the real masses paying while in contrast when u get to apo and other govt quarters you will be surprised to see steady supply of electricity where i can bet that they dont pay phcn bills. what can the govt ever get right with all the common wealth(crude Oil) going into their coffers? no security, no sound education, no good welfare or social system, no infrastructure, no respect for citizen rights etc. The money that the likes of Ibori have stolen alone is enough to maintain all the universities in Nigeria to a world class standard and also send all Deltans of University age to school free of charge. This is apart from what Mrs Ibru has stolen and numerous people to mention. My people please liberate yourselves and do not let this people continue to keep us in a state of mental slavery with the way we reason, nigerian citizens deserve far more than what we get (to me we dont even get anything), the country is hanging dangerously on the brinks of collapse but the leading class are too selfish to see (the manifestation is everywhere e.g militancy, kidnapping, social vices, religious extremism) because they have been blinded by greed. What Mr Aregbesola has done is the right way to go in an egalitarian and sensible environment. I wonder when people argue that where will they get money to sustain projects that will be beneficial to all, the answer is simple, those are the money that got lost (embezzled) and we hear of when they have left office. |
We need to make critical analysis and thorough comparism when addressing issues. Now these are my questions: (1) Did the internally generated incomes just start coming in without concerted efforts? obviously NO. IGR was increased through well thought-out strategies. Believe me LIRS has a robust enlightenment campaign better than what most companies (multinationals inclusive) in Nigeria have. On paper, Kano state is highly populated but their IGR is a far cry from that of Lagos. This shows the leadership of Lagos is thinking. (2) Compare the IGR and Government allocations accruing to other states putting the population of the respective states into contest, then we can get a real basis for comparing and also know why Lagos state still has to borrow. e.g Hw many public schools (primary to tertiary), teachers and infrastructure lagos needs to cater for. the number of government funded hospitals in Lagos state is definitely the highest and i mean functional hospitals. What about the number of public and social services viz-a-viz government parastatals that the state is funding e.g lasambus, emergency response, fire service, traffic controllers, road maintenance agencies , most of these are non-existent or dead in other states. (3) what about funds continually going into security and other things that are even outside the purview of the state govt. (4) How many government world over is debt free? The FG with all the excess crude fund is owing, US and Britain are heavily indebted. Debt is treated as asset. What matters is the purpose and the conditions which the debt are obtained, and the repayment plans. In my own view, Lagos state might not be the eldorado we dream of but it has made conceited efforts at giving good leadership. Take away the federation allocation of many states and you will see that some of the governors will start begging for alms, even with the allocations many of the states are sleeping and there are no signs of development. |
Must GEJ lie all in the name of campaigning. He should have added that the Presidential fleet will be plying all the new route when all the airports are completed. Of what economic importance will airports in all the states be? what is the earning power of the people in the state to afford trips by air? where are the planes that will fly the route? what are the incentives that his government have given to airlines already in the industry to sustain sustainability before thinking of expansion. By the day, GEJ keeps dissappointing me with his utterances and honestly doubt is intellectual capacity. The airports that are on ground have cows and rams doing beauty pagent parade on the run way causing mishap everyday and that has not been sorted out. Lagos-Ibadan, Benin-ore road is in a state of anomy (according to Obahiagbon) even after our dear Madam Minister shed crocodile tears on the state of the road. Oga presido, kindly shut up ur mouth if u dont have anything to say and not insult our common sense further because we are crying at the state of the nation already |
Mr iNVISIBLE, since u claim ur figure was from people around you, you are a crook yourself since birds of the same feather flock together. It is an insult on the majority of hardworking nigerians. Western world is a multitasking environment where people work hard to make ends meet. Do u think the system is porous for everyone to be involve in dubious things. Check ur facts and use ur common sense instead of allowing urself to suffer from acute diarrhoea of the mouth. nice day |
Now that the sleeping National Assembly has been woken by the cries of the nation by asking VP to act as President, i,m waiting for MR ANACONDA's interpretation or assault on our Constitution again. Shameless G-O-A-T |
Niger Deltans should run a parallel government also because Yardua does not feel save handing over to Jonathan. What has the Norther Lawyers done to abate the sporadic crisis cropping up in the North every now and then. If human live is worth that of a COW to them, others are more humane, sensitive and safety conscious. NONSENSE |
He's not fit to be a Governor because he's not a man of his words. When he was leaving CBn, he said he was going back to the lecture room which he has missed so much only for him to attempt occupying Anambra Government House under the "do or die" party (PDP), dont forget he assumed PDP candidate under a non democratic procedure (no primary election). It is very likely he will not deliver on his electoral promises if he becomes the Governor (because he doesnt stand by what he says). We do not need people like SOLUDO on our political scene anymore, he has been infected with the PDP misgovernance bug, GOOD RIDDANCE |
Aoandoakaa has insulted our collective intellect for a long time as if, he is the only learned one. when professionalism is sacrificed on the platter of politics that is the result. I see him as a political loafer, an unrepentatnt sycophant with no iota of integrity left in him who is always trying to turn the constitution upside down. See how he was frustrating Ibori's case. I am always livid with rage whenever i hear his name, he's a shame to our country. I consider him as a NONENTITY. As for Akunyuli, she is not serious as long as she is a member of FEC. Information ministry is a sensitive one especially for a government without direction like this, she has to clean up their craps. If she has her integrity at heart, its time to quit. |
@Sam Milla, to the best of my knowledge, "Lagos State Launched an appeal fund of $1m for the people of Haiti". I dont think its already donated and individuals are been encouraged to donate into the account which is opened with Skye bank just as the members of Lagos state Executive Council have donated. I dont think its directly from the State government purse. Lagos State and Federal government are two seperate entities in the eyes of the Law, if federal govt is not responsive there is nothing legally or morally wrong for any state to be responsive as States are only accountable to its legislative arm that represent the people and not the federal government. The three arms of government should show mutual respect for one another, however, the federal government has demonstrated her disrepect to States, local government, the judicial arm and even the entire people of Nigeria on several occassions. On this particular occassion, i totally disagree that Lagos State has done anything wrong afterall our presido is on AWOL (Absence without Leave) |
@No2atheism, I like ur reasoning, i was just reading ur post and got ur arguement. No foreigner will come to develop our country, they will only milk us dry. We are the ones dat can truly develop the country, who says Nigerian cant own a world class Oil company. Was it not before our vey eyes that globacom laid the transatlantic cable, an exclusive preserve of NITEL, hitherto, was it no the same company that started per second billing when MTN said it was not possible? Was it not the same man who took over National oil and turn it around as Conoil. We only need the enabling environment. Even the western world have come to realise the intelligence and "never say die" attitude of Nigerians, recently the UK ambassador said, the strenght of nigeria is in her energetic youths and not the Oil. I meet some guys here of recent, when they heard i was from nigeria, they were very happy, They testified that Nigeria is richly blessed, they came to work in Apapa for three months and they all brought brand new cars when they got back to their country. They are all willing to be back in Nigeria anytime. |
@Noathesim, google CAMAC holdings and Kase Lawal |
Good riddance, Bad nonsense. Let them leave ASAP. Their home government keep on shouting "green Projects" while these companies are busy desecrating and spilling, even though its due to our laxity. After, how many years of exploration are they now threatening us or what. Local firms will take over and develop with time and even employ the so call expatriates and we will be better for it. There are Oil companies owned by Nigerians based in Houston, Texas and its reputed as the biggest black corporation. If the WILL is there, impossiblity is nothing for NIGERIANS. Maybe if, we leave the oil for sometime, we will be more creative as our government seems to be to docile and short of revenue generating ideas. Many countries are surviving without crude oil. Above all, i doubt if they have the right to sell this oil fields as it is a JVC (Joint venture) with nigerian government.S |
aaahhhhh. And this is the same Okiro in charge of halliburton Probe, we all know what the result of the probe will be. Nothing good can come out of these men in black. They are simply corrupt from the foundation. |

Most probably, the man is a Human Trafficker |
do you even have Police that you want to Alert in the first place. Criminals are even attacking police stations dis days, dont risk your life with heartless Armed robbers in a country that is complacent like ours. I believe we will get to that stage someday but definitely not at the moment. so give us better gist. |
projay, i am open to ideas so let me know about such biz ide |
Thanks Ebonyij. I will be expecting ur reply |
and sometimes the goat gets to adamant till they club its head to death. My little cent, Be persistent and also apply wisdom |
Fellow Nairalander, Pleases what can i buy from Dubai with like 500k that will sell in Naija and will not give stress with Customs at the airport. I really need your candid advice and like how many percentage increase can i get on my capital after sellingn the goods. |
its obvious Sweet T has a personal grudge, this forum is not the best place to sort it out. your conclusions are even based on half truth and falsehood. Is Akingbola of Intercontinental an Ekiti Man? All CBN is doing is a routine check based on petitions received, only the result will tell if the Board of Wema bank will be sacked or not. This does not automatically translate to lose of Job in The Bank. NOTE: Corruption and Management Failure has no tribe, dont be bias in ur judgement |
i dont think there is any big deal. Is he an Accountant? people at that level uses Red Biro. My own director of Finance and Admin uses the same color of pen. |
huawei all the way. Telecomms at its best |
All the while that Redeem church was spending money on HIV/AIDs campaign and some other laudable projects you are no where to be found. In USA where you claim to reside, are there no slums and ghetto that are in contrast to highbrow areas. Your leaders have stolen your money from ages and you have not fought them. If you are so much interested in Nigeria come back and make a change. The Church and its congregation that are contributing the money has every right to do what they want with their money as long as its legal. In the so called western world where you use as standard, is it the church that is ruling them? You had better leave the shadows and chase the real substance. |
