I'm from the South- South geopolitical zone and I grew up speaking my language at home and not English. I spoke English at school and my dialect at home. Not all Southern Nigerians communicate with their children solely in English. I speak my dialect and the English Language impeccably.

As a teacher, I remind my students of the need to speak their dialects as much as they can, as English is their second language. I also emphasize it to them that speaking their mother tongue doesn't impede them from being fluent in English or other languages.

It's just unfortunate that we live in an era where everyone is ' forming Behind" by speaking only English as a Lingua Franca to the neglect of their mother tongue.

Till tomorrow, I communicate in my dialect with my folks, home and abroad.

Because I know opportunity can come from anywhere. Most of the people from the three major ethnic groups in Nigeria teach their children their dialects, correct me if I'm wrong but yes see, South south, or even people from middle east and other minority groups they hardly teach their kids their dialect. They will just be speaking English, I used to tell my students "English in school, at home tell your parents no English! Just speak your language to me".

Your so called expensis are total lies! Absolute lies! I travel to Naigeerian every year, hotel and food cost me 1,2 million maximum and that's for 6 weeks stay. I have my own house and 2 vehicles.

So i only spends on petrol, food, women and drinks. My mother and my step sisters does the cooking in my house. I give them money they go shopping for food, sometimes i drive to shoprite and purchase cartons of beer,wine and whiskey.

I will be down my house again this christmas in Anambra. I guarantee you i will not spend more than 1 million naira for food, petrol, women and drinks.

I don't give police money, why should i give police check point money? I am not a criminal, i stop when they tell me to stop, I say hi officer! They say wind down your door mirror, i do what they say i don't argue or try to speak big grammar to them to intimidate them, make them look small, or disrespect them, and they say, no wahala move on. Sometimes though i "dash" them few notes not less than 500 naira. I even picked up one police woman forked her on atleast 3 occassions, she was very nice still contacts me on watsaap. At the check points i usually say to them thank you officers for your good work you do keeping us safe, they reply back, you are wellcome "yellow" or sometime they call me "onye ocha" some of them are good.


I don't give money at the airport they already knows me for that, i even managed to invite one of the custom officer woman to my house and forked her. With a bottle of red wine and a full carcase of fried chicken. She say she don't want money, they pay her very well at Lagos international airport

Doing the two is a duplication of one thing. It's either you do one and leave the other and go do a registry wedding in order to officialise the marriage and obtain a certificate.

That number 4 has hindered many. I did traditional marriage and paid all the rites, I went to Winners Chapel to make enquiry for white wedding with all proof of our trad wedding videos and pictures. They started asking me if we have had sex, where I live, the type of house, and lots of questions. I saw from afar that all this procedure will cost me alot. I jejely use about 40k go do court marriage. Invited my friends, my wife cooked and we packed it in takeaway packs and meat pie and all. I left from the office to the court marriage and returned back to the office same day.

I'm happy I didn't do that white wedding cos now I know it's not important and irrelevant. Nobody have ever asked me of my white wedding certificate.
