LASG seeks End to kidnapping and the Deadly Badoo activities.

Lagos State Government has again met with Obas, Baales and Chiefs from Ikorodu, Ikosi Ejinrin and environs on the spate of kidnapping and menace of Badoo cultists operating within the axis as part of efforts to eradicate the despicable acts in the State.

Speaking at a meeting held at the Secretariat, Alausa, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Hon. Muslim Folami expressed the displeasure of the State government with the development and charged the traditional rulers to rise up to the challenges of these immoral activities as representatives of the government in their various domains.

He said the incessant security issues peculiar to the axis need to be seriously addressed so that the vision of the State government premised on a safe and secure Lagos would not be jeopardized, stressing that peace and security are prerequisites for a booming economy on which a Smart City thrives.

In his words, "The State government is not indicting our royal fathers but we believe that as the leaders of the various communities, they are in the best position to provide useful information to the government on how to expose the perpetrators of these evil acts”.

The Commissioner, who attributed the increasing population of Lagos, on a daily basis, to the relative peace that prevails in the State, added that all hands must be on deck to sustain peace and make Lagos secured.

Responding, the Obas and Chiefs pleaded with the State Government to equip and empower local vigilante operatives in the affected communities to strengthen and consolidate the efforts of other security agencies providing security in the communities.

They said that Obas, Baales and Chiefs are equally disturbed about the security situation in their respective areas in recent times, stressing that they were doing everything within their power to restore normalcy to the affected areas.

According to them, their relentless efforts led to the arrest of few suspects already apprehended by security operatives.

They also sought the assistance of the State government in resolving boundary matters such that all the traditional rulers would know the scope of their jurisdiction and government would also know who to hold responsible for breach of security.

The Obas and Chiefs observed that abandoned landed property left undeveloped for years should be investigated and taken over by the government, noting that investigations revealed that such property does serve as hide-outs for miscreants and evil plotters.

"We want to call on the State government to bring to book anyone found contravening the Law as well as investigate thoroughly the case of the alleged shrine owner recently discovered at Igbeyin-Ikosi in Ikosi Ejinrin LCDA" the traditional rulers pleadedhtml

29 Born Again Christians Return WAEC Certificate

Following them giving their lives to Christ, 29 persons have returned their West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for engaging in examination malpractice when they sat for the exams.

In a statement released after its 62nd National Examination Committee meeting recently,the examination body said that among the 29 certificates that were returned by the born again Christians, includes one that was issued 33 years ago (1984) and another one that was issued 32 years ago (1985). .
.
Four certificates each were returned by born again Christians who confessed that they cheated while sitting for their exams between 2011 and 2013. .

Others include three that sat for the examinations in 2000, 2004, 2008, two each in 1992 and 2003 while one certificate each was returned by born again Christians who sat for the examination in 1984, 1985, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2012.

According to a report by Dailymail, the trending topic, which has gathered nearly two million clicks on Twitter-like Weibo, came just a week after web users flocked to make a knot with their fingers to show off the flexibility of their hands.

The 'heart-shaped breast challenge' which started earlier this week when a live-stream hostess created 'the trick' to attract more fans, resulted in some web users complete the challenge.

It's understood that some of the pictures under the topic page have been removed by the Chinese online censors as they have been deemed too risque. However, the trending topic page is still accessible as of writing.

A man was killed in Delta State following a land dispute which escalated. For years, the Amai and Umuebu communities in Ndokwa West, Delta state, have been at loggerheads over a land. This dispute has now culminated in the death of a man in the most gruesome way.

According to a post shared by Austyne Emu, who is resident in Delta State, the corpse seen without a head and hands is one of the victims of the land dispute - a dispute which over the years has led to the death of many.

Sosoliso Plane Crash Survivor, Kechi Okwuchi Sings At America's Got Talent 2017, Melts Hearts

Kechi Okwuchi Trust, one of the two survivors of 2005 Sosoliso plane crash performed at America's Got Talent 2017 recently and melted the hearts of judges.

Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 took off from Abuja and crash landed at Port Harcourt International Airport, leaving 107 people dead out of 109.

Kechi alongside one other survivor was treated at Milpark Hospital, Johannesburg South Africa. She later moved to the U.S in 2007 for a reconstructive surgery -- a total of hundred surgeries for years after the unfortunate incident.

She graduated from the University of St. Thomas, Houston Texas on May 16th, 2015 where she was the student speaker at the 2015 Commencement Ceremony.

The 26-year-old has continued to inspire many with her story, making all realise that your looks do not define who you are.
