Anyone with similar experience please I can't track the waybill number.Just called dhl to track it they said that is not their tracking number because it is longer than ten numbers.
Don't know if this is a different courier company.
My tracking number given to me from TLS IKEJA has 10 digits and DHL written on it. Please check your numbers again and I pray the person who wrote it down for you didn't make an error.

HELP!!! Hubby the sponsor, lives in a shared apartment where all utility bills are inclusive in the rent. @justwise and house, Please how can he address not having utility bills? Landlord has given letter of consent and stated all bills are inclusive in the rent. Is this enough? Or does hubby need to collect the utility bills in the landlords name from the landlord to submit?
Is it compulsory hubby gets consent letters from his housemates? Property inspection report approved.

[quote author=MrsElendu post=62032481]Thank you @justwise and @ lexusgs360 for your prompt response when I had questions.

Just picked up my passport from the British High Commission today after a successful appeal.

Here’s my timeline, it might be of help to those going through an appeal process.

Visa refused - September
Letter that appeal was allowed - September 18th 2017
Email from UKVI that they had overturned their decision -October 11th 2017
IHS fee link sent - Oct 17th 2017
Submitted passport at TLS - Oct 18th 2017
Email to collect passport from BDHC - 30th October 2017
Collected passport - 3rd November 2017

Long wait but well worth it in the end. My passport was stamped on the 23rd of October and I have 20 days to leave.

Congratulations

You can choose the standard then after booking your appointment and you are directed to the TLS Contact Website, you’ll be able to choose the added values and pay
Thanks, I did that. Though I made an error on the TLS contact payment form. I used a wrong GWF reference code (it's a code i generated with a form i didn't submit on VISA4UK). but name and passport number remains same. I informed TLS complaint and was told i report it to TLS on my appointment date with the request form inquiry code. @justwise and house, do you think the correction can be made and my payment will be valid?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by foxyvisa: 2:42pm On Oct 31, 2017
Please anyone knows TLSCONTACT Ikeja phone contact or direct email? There's a mistake on my confirmation page and i need to correct it. @justwise and house. Wrong REF number

TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by foxyvisa: 2:29am On Oct 31, 2017

Options are Standard appointment, PBS Tier 4 student, Premium lounge, Prime time, Super Priority Visa Appointment. They are all different from Priority which isn't available. Please has anyone used priority of recent?

Thanks for the reply

My heart goes out to you. I just can’t imagine myself in your situation right now. I would just be crying, the distance is not easy at all. Anyway I think the decision is solely yours to take and not the house’s. If yourvwikling to risk losing that £1500 then why not, submit the certs and see. If it’s s huge amount, then you should reconsider. Maybe hubby can return and redo another wedding with you (it won’t cost so much if he is of Nigerian descent but if he is white, lol God will provide, those Abuja registry people wanted to use us and do money-making venture!)

So think deep, pray and decide, but remember, peter walked on water too (nothing beyond God).
Hubby is Nigerian but had no plans of coming into the country, at least not until i join him. If we go the route of remarriage, that will be extra cost (ticket etc). Then we will fall under application immediately after marriage and I feel eyebrows will be raised.
Decided to go through with the application, everything is intact. We look unto God for favour.

@justwise concerning couples returning certificate in exchange for the federal version, the local government registries won't accept. Part of the reason they are still in court. They claim they are lawfully right. It's the masses that will bear the pain between the federal and local government war.

@ronvlaar Have you submitted your application yet? Because we seem to be in the same boat as regards having Redeemed church certificate obtained via local government.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by foxyvisa: 2:13pm On Oct 28, 2017
@justwise and house, I am seriously confused if I and hubby should go ahead with submitting of our UK spouse visa application this week because of our local government issued marriage certificate and church certificate. Hubby is currently in UK and all this is sooo confusing especially since we have been putting documents together all through the year and finally ready for submission huh

deebaby05:
I also read about our federal govt banning LG wedding but I submitted both certificates -Badagry registry and catholic church certificate) I initially submitted the same 2 for my son's application for his British passport and it was granted this year so I don't know which was accepted.
@deebaby05 Did you really use a local government issued marriage certificate and Catholic church certificate for a spouse visa application and you were successful this year 2017?

I'm still wondering why nobody has been refused based on this for the pat 7-8 yrs i have been here, does it mean that they all submitted marriage certificate from federal registry court?

We will keep researching about this.

Good job from you though.
The ongoing court case has been this year 2017. So previous applications before the sanctions from ministry of interiors won't be affected. I pray British embassy doesn't include this in their requirements.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by foxyvisa: 9:29am On Oct 28, 2017
@Justwise and the house I just read this on another thread concerning marriage certificates issued by local government carrying the "local government unified marriage certificate" on the Marriage Act Certificates. This spells doom for those intending to use their certificates at embassies.

ekwynox:
The issue here is that the Ministry of Interior has written embassies to stop acknowledging the 'Local Government Unified Marriage Certificate'. The US Department of State, which used to accept these local government issued certificates, has updated its website to show that it no longer accepts such.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country/NI.html

They're issuing 'Request for further evidence' if you have the local government version of the marriage certificate

@ekwynox Please what can serve as "further evidence" for those with the local government unified marriage certificate?

I'm coming across this for the first time, hopefully people who have used local gvt registry will help out with personal experience.
Okay I am officially worried. It's obvious the certificate issued from Redeemed church is that of local government and that's the only certificate i have and intend submitting next week for my spouse visa application. @justwise, pleeeease i wish you can press for information concerning the success rate of those who have applied with their licenced church Marriage Act Certificate issued to them.

Thank you @justwise for the response but unfortunately I can not sit for the correct test because without my passport which I submitted with the application I cannot write the test. The only option is the UK NARIC. To get transcript is a problem because schools only forward the transcripts to schools not individuals and I need the transcripts for upload on the UK Naric site for them to process it. I just don't know what to do now whether to apply with statement of results only?
I hope this information isn't coming late. You can get your transcript by hand from your university if you narrate your plight at the faculty or senate level. It's being done several times but peeps really don't talk about it because it's not supposed to be so. It all depends on how long it takes for your department, faculty and senate to process the transcript.

Original Marriage certificate (Not Nigerian local govt) Federal Marriage Registry or UK recognised.
The comment by @lamakinde got me worried. My marriage certificate issued from Redeemed Church bears The Marriage Act, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Underneath "Local government unified marriage certificate. Please @Lamakinde and @justwise is this different from a certificate issued in a federal marriage registry?

what is R FGN? I wedded in the Anglican church and I used mine.
I meant Federal Republic of Nigeria marriage certificate which has form "E" written at the top corner. Thanks for the reply. I feel very relieved knowing you used a church issued licenced certificate and you were successful. Read quite a few times in some threads that marriage certificate not issued in a registry especially churches, licensed or not, isn't recognised by embassies. Glad to know it's a rumour.

Good day house. It's a pleasure to finally join the house. I have been following and reading through the pages of this thread as I intend applying for spousal visa in a few days. Thanks to the awesome members who continue to engage and profer solutions, I have learnt a lot, avoided mistakes and still learning.
Please the matter of licenced marriage certificate from a licenced church ie form E FGN marriage certificate issued in a licenced church to be used for spouse visa has being my concern. Please @justwise and other moderators, will this pose a problem?
