newbie715: Hi foxyvisa, I did not use NARIC from Nigeria, I used my Nigerian University MBA certificate and a letter from the school stating that English was the medium used for the programme but when I wanted to renew my visa, I just respected myself and got NARIC to avoid any issues but as deept said, same NARIC suffices. Thanks newbie715, I got my degree certificate and letter from school also stating English was the medium and applied for NARIC CERTIFICATE in Nigeria for the first spouse visa. I submitted the NARIC certificate. For the FLR application, I intend using the same NARIC certificate i used from Nigeria. I hope they don't expect me to provide a recent NARIC certificate?. |

Hello house, thanks to all moderators for sustaining this page. Please hubby (British citizen) and I intend travelling to Europe to visit family (Holland & France) together. I am currently on my 1st spouse Visa which is yet to expire(next year). How do I go about the travelling (flight) process. 1) Do I apply for visa since hubby (citizen) will accompany me? 2) I will appreciate any and all information. Thanks. |

newbie715: I am not quite sure what the answer is, I used NARIC the second time round because I didn't write the test in my initial application but a comment from benuromi on page 6 of this thread states that he knows someone who used the test from Nigeria, as I am not familiar with the tests, I cannot advice on this, sorry. Hello newbie715, Concerning your use of NARIC for FLR, was it the same Naric certificate you used from Nigeria or did you reapply for another Naric certificate for FLR? Thanks. |

SomD: Hello everyone. Please a TB certificate that shows abnormal chest xray but no signs of Tb detected, no referall letter issued or sputum test done. Is this acceptable? The interpretation of the result is that the spine is a bit curved but can’t be treated as it poses no threat and even if it were to be corrected, it should be done as a child but not now as an adult because bones have now calcified. Can anyone clarify for me if this certificate is okay. Pic attached. Concerning your TB result, you have nothing to worry about as to whether you have TB or not. You are completely negative. The certificate is accepted at point of entry in Uk and also for jobs that request for proof of TB immunity. As mentioned, some people have posture problem. Slouching, tilting which shows in a chest scan. On arrival to UK, you can submit the certificate to your GP and if you are worried about correcting your posture, they will give you the available options. Mainly surgery. I hope this helps. N/B: Lot of adults have bad postures. You are not alone. |

Zay1: Hello, please i am also about to apply for the same visa, do you mind telling me the documents you submitted to support your application. I hope to hear from you soon Thanks To be honest with you, it will be difficult for anyone to dig out list of documents for spousal application on this forum. I will advise you do what i and most nairaland students did in order to get a successful application. Read from Pages 1 to date, note all you can and ask questions on this thread based on specific topics. It will be easier for the house to attend to your issues that way. Hope I made sense |

Realgeo: Don't waste your money getting the Nigeria police report as u can get a job without it. If u will be doing care job then, u require CRB certificate which cost £50 and are valid for 3 years or so and that is will be done in uk. Just pack your bag and come over. Cheers Thanks @Realgeo |

@justwise please I need your counsel. Hubby is requesting I obtain police report/police character certificate for immigration from Nigeria Police HQ. Says it's necessary for obtaining employment on arrival in the UK, else I might have to wait for 6 months before working inorder to get a UK police report. Please, how acurate is this? |

Congratulations!! Thanks @justwise, coming from you, it means a lot. I am not sure you know the gravity of impact you contribute to couple's applications, by reason of this thread/house. I and hubby intended applying middle of the year but after stumbling on this thread, I realised we were far from ready and would have been rejected. Few months later, after extensive reading and research of manuals over the years from the house, we were ready to apply. To God be the glory, we were successful. Thanks for being avaliable and consistent over the years. Thanks for the joy you bring couples, thanks for uniting homes. |

I absolutely agree with you that people should not exclude WhatsApp or Facebook messages if available. It's better to be on the safe side and send them even if not required. They can't reject anyone for sending too many documents abi? Worst case, you've wasted paper printing the messages.
My warning is more towards those that may rely primarily on WhatsApp messages as evidence of relationship and don't send many photos or phone records. If these messages is not used in their consideration as my friend advised then that could result in a refusal. Concerning WhatsApp messages, I can't rule that out. For our application, we had no phone records except WhatsApp messages and whatsapp calls, viber calls, Skype records and Facebook posts. No visit to UK, except hubby's visit to Nigeria for our wedding ceremonies. About 80 pictures containing wedding pictures, school pictures together and casual pictures. We submitted a truck load of WhatsApp messages dating years back, as our main mode of communication. |

tenyii: Hi guys so I’ve been a silent follower of this thread since I decided to apply for a UK spousal visa. Your posts (especially timelines) were very helpful for me and I thought I could help another person by sharing mine as well.
Type of Application: Settlement - Wife (Priority) Application Submitted: 23 Oct Supporting Documents sent to Sheffield: 3 Nov Email confirmation of documents received: Never got one Application Decided: 26 Nov Visa Picked up: 26 Nov
All in all took about 1 month and was much earlier thank we expected but we are very grateful to God for how smooth the application process was.
For those deliberating about whether to send WhatsApp messages or what to send for their applications....remember that everyone’s circumstances are different. I feel things like travel history and general background of the individuals applying (especially your spouse) matter a lot. Put yourself in the shoes of the visa officer. If there is something you are uncomfortable about rather than lie or ignore it explain it in the additional information section...that’s what it’s there for. If you have substantial travel history show that that you do...make them see that your desire to relocate is because of your spouse. If you don’t have the pictures put the steamy conversation from your WhatsApp, if not put the pictures you have. Look through the guidelines carefully and make sure you put all the necessary documents to show that you just want to start the rest of your life with your spouse. No one wants to willingly keep two people away from each other if they genuinely love themselves (of cause there’s the bit about proving you won’t be using U.K. public funds for the next 5 years but yea that’s how developed countries protect themselves )
I’m sure all those waiting will have successful applications! God has already done it for us. Congratulations. Amen oooooo for all of us waiting and believing God for December response. |
