Anything Wike did for Tinubu was because of his office as a governor. Fubara is the governor now, anything a governor can do, he will do it too. Also, nobody is holding the governor. He is violating the constitution and getting the consequences. The governor is only the head of the executive branch, we have three branches of government.

The problem with this scenario you painted is that even if the panel constituted by the CJ finds Fubara not guilty of gross misconduct, the house would still proceed with the impeachment. The reason is because the constitution is silent on this issue. Example is the case of Yahaya Bello and his then deputy Achuba where despite the report of the panel of enquiry absolving the
then deputy governor Simon Achuba of gross misconduct, the house of assembly still proceeded with his impeachment.
It’s best the Cj doesn’t set up any panel.
