Don't tell me you willingly pay for what you dont consume. Do our telecoms bill you on estimated calls or calls you never made? Dont they have a functional customer care dept that resolves issues?

Mention 1 disco in Nigeria that has a functional customer care unit that actually addresses customer complaints.

I moved into a new apartment 3 years ago, there was an outstanding bill of over 200,000= from previous tenants, we wanted to convert to prepaid, the landlady wont pay the bills, a disco staff was saying we must clear the bill.

The question is where was the incompetent disco staff when the previous tenants were accumulating the bills?

Stop supporting rubbish.
You're obviously transferring the frustration from your situation into this one. My prepaid meter was unilaterally decommissioned by phed, they said they'll get me a new one but I know that's just talk. Now I'm on estimated billing but you don't see my transferring my irritation irrationally. On this particular NAF case, IKEDC is not in the wrong

IKEDC should have directed to FG, instead of shutting down Military feeder.... A whole Military that government should give special attention instead of theiving politicians
Then NAF should petition FG to pay their bills

I read the facts, they disconnected the NAF , like they usually do without informing customers. Hence the consequence. Serves em right.

The Discos are not providing value for money, they distribute bills for power they never supply.

Any person who pays electricity bills knows this, but off course you don't pay bills, you don't know what responsibility it as you live on your couch.
Lol...oga you have no idea the bills I pa, if you try to pay them, you go less. If you cannot be civil, then leave my mentions alone

Then the issue is between NAF and FG, why should IKEDC be losing funds when it's not their issue?

How can they not give military base light for 10 dayshuh A base that houses missiles, rockets and other weapons that requires regulated temperature for national security! NAF personnel were gentle. And if that light is not restored in 24hrs, let there be no light elsewhere
You people refuse to be reasonable in your comments. If you, as an individual, do not pay your light bill, will you not be cut off from accessing electricity? Why should naf be any different?

Ijaws plan to attack Wike House and properties in PH in coming days.

Ijaws have 2,848 villages, towns and settlements
1,147 for Western Region (Ondo, Edo,Delta Ijaws)
869 villages, towns and settlements of Central Region
(Bayelsa and Ahoada West)

832 villages, towns and settlements of Eastern Region (Rivers and Akwa-Ibom Ijaws).

That make up the 2,848 village, towns and settlements.

If any Ijaw areas that were unjustly balkanized into six States when we are fully together and not scattered by God just to weaken our unity is attacked, Bayelsa support all, since Bayelsa is fully Ijaw State.
Any Governor that come in Bayelsa still support Ijaw course.
Na we we so them no dey loud am no matter the political party they came through.

Apart from taking of crude oil and sell to neighbouring Central African Countries close to Ijaw Nation like Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe, Cape Verde among others in exchange for money for weapons by the Ijaw fighters, Bayelsa Government sponsor everything war.

So Wike Should be warned because Ijaw produce over 90 percent of Nigeria Crude oil both onshore and offshore and anything do Fubara, Bayelsa Government sponsor under like it was done for Ondo and Delta Ijaws and extreme damage get to Ijaw enemies.
So much unnecessary noise ....I've been to yenagoa, the guys here na noisemakers, go an siddon

Well the same SC was with Wike/Fubara when they declared him governor.

Anyways do you think Gov. Fubara has any next steps to play?
Already he is in a checked mate position and there are no much moves for him but he can stall and keep stalling?

In no distant time, the Speaker will write to him to pay all their entitlements owed them and much more......
Sure but money isn't really going to be an issue. Once he recognizes the martins led house, which he's already doing, FG should start remitting the state's funds to him again. He still has a lot of goodwill with the electorates, just has to play his card right to beat any impeachment move that might be brought against him and re-strategize for next election

We all know that their names are still in the register of the PDP in their respective wards and no one from there have come out to debunk that?

Even Gov. Fubara knows that.

Those who even joined the APP from the PDP for the LG elections still have their names on the PDP register in their wards and units.....
So it's a normal occurrence for names of defectors to still be in the ward registry...this makes the SC judgement all the more strange

On what ground did PDP sue them. For leaving the party only or for leaving PDP and joining APC?
I don't have the judgement ctc but I'll like to think fubara was at least smart enough to put their detection from pdp alone, not their destination

You are still holding to what is not tangible.
Affidavit and resignation written and attestesd to.....Yes.

But was it even submitted to their various Ward chairmen or any unit of the PDP?
But it was publicized, a case can easily be made that once such was publicized by the defectors themselves, it became legally binding, whether they forwarded to their wards or not ....truth is that Wike/Tinubu just had more pull with the SC judges then fubara ever could, which is why he lost. Once the issue got to SC, I already knew he was most likely going to lose, I'm sure he also knew to some extent that he'd lose which is why I'm eagerly anticipating his next step, this one sweet pass anything wey dey Netflix now cheesy

There won't be need for any impeachment if he obey the court, reconcile and cooperate with the house.
Doubt that'd be enough, wike is pretty vindictive...he wouldn't want to let the matter die down now that he has the upper hand.

Really....
If someone happens to wear a polo shirt bearing the insignation of any political party does that make that individual a member of the party even if he sings their mantra song?

Now, let's take it further,
If one is seen putting on a polo shirt bearing IPOB or UGM and even if the fello chants their songs does it signify that such is a member?

Have you not also come across people who are not members of secret cult who exchange a specific cult handshake and speaks their lingua......will you consider such a member of the cult without doing your due diligence?
The judgement should be on whether they're still recognized as pdp members not whether they're registered apc members

Process of being a member of political party.
But we're not talking about them joining apc, but rather about them leaving pdp. The members wrote resignation letters and swore affidavits to that effect, how come this isn't enough to show that they're no longer pdp members?

I asked someone during that early season....
Does it mean one can put up an affidavit to resign from his place of work and submit same to the office?

Every reputable company has a process of staffs putting up resignation letters and an affidavit is not one of them...
They did sworn affidavits and wrote resignation letters bro

From the day Fubara demolished the State House of Assembly, every other actions of the lawmakers were not recognized by the Supreme court. It was a way of the Supreme Court punishing Fubara for demolishing the State House of Assembly. That offense was deemed terrible by the Supreme Court. It is a valid ground for Fubara's impeachment
Okay👌...it's entertaining to watch from the outside tho, I'm sure fubara isn't going to just lie down and allow them impeach and remove him from the office

We want peace Rivers state, Fubara should obey supreme Court order that's all.

Ipob and obedients must stay away from Rivers matter.

Focus on your 5 plots of kind.
I do have issues with the supreme Court judgement, does it mean that they no longer recognize a sworn affidavit from a valid court as a legal document? The part about the lawmakers not being in apc member register is not really important here, the issue at hand was about whether there is evidence that they defected from pdp, not on whether they're registered in apc. Nevertheless, the supreme Court have given their judgement, however flawed it is, and has to be obeyed.

They are procedures you use in removing a leader, the way they handled it was like a betrayal, when he was on holiday. If this is not checked, one day if the president is not in town, some party members will just sit and announce his impeachment even without him being there to defend himself.

Thescrutinyng:
The decision to return Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly will have negative implications for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, some of the lawmakers informed TheScrutinyNG on Tuesday.

Following the interventions of party leaders, especially President Bola Tinubu, Obasa, who was on January 13 sacked by 36 lawmakers in the 40-member House, returned to the Speaker’s seat following the resignation of former Speaker Mrs. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda, during the plenary.

One of the lawmakers, a ranking member informed our correspondent that they were ‘forced to take the painful decision of returning Obasa as Speaker’.

“I have read some reports online where some people described us as cowards and said we should have continued to insist that we don’t want him (Obasa) again. I believe we have done our best and it is the right time for us to retreat in deference to the president and other party leaders who wanted him to return”.

“We held several meetings with the GAC and inform them that we don’t want him again. On several occasions, we also passed a vote of confidence on Meranda. Even last week when he stormed the House, we addressed the a joint press conference and said we don’t want this man as our Speaker again but the party leaders insisted that he must lead us. We bowed to party supremacy against our wish and that explains why some of us were emotional on Monday” he said.

Another lawmaker who also spoke with our correspondent said trouble may brew in the House again as the issues that led to the decision to remove Obasa as Speaker were not addressed.

He said while the lawmakers will respect Obasa’s office, the House cannot remain together as one again.

“The decision to impose him (Obasa) on us will surely have implication on the politics of the state. One, that action has created a sharp division and enmity in the House. No matter how he tries, the House can never remain the same again. We will respect his office as Speaker but we will have nothing to do with him. The reality is that, we can never move or roll as one again”.

“Going forward, I believe this will also influence the 2027 elections in Lagos State. We can never go into any election again as one family. In 2023, we went into the election as one family, yet we lost Lagos in the presidential election and struggled to retain the governorship. Now, we will be going to the 2027 election as a bitterly divided House. So, what do you expect?”.

“2027 is still far but I really don’t see anything changing, if not, it may even get worse. Nobody can say with certainty what will be but definitely, it is not going to be anything pleasant”.

“Two, the legislature and the executive can never roll together again. Obasa and Governor Sanwo-Olu can never work harmoniously again and the leaders know it. So, it is going to be strictly business. No formality or camaraderie of any sort. For now, everybody will be watching his back” he said.

When asked if Obasa will resign to pave the way for the election of another speaker, the lawmaker said “ From the look of things, I don’t think so. I think he will serve out his term as Speaker. That is what the party leader wants”.

I feel like Tinubu must have made a deal with obasa that if he assists in getting Obasa back in as the speaker, then he would not run for governorship in the next election
