Governor Nasir El-Rufai's Polling Unit 024, Ward 07, Ungwan Sarki in Kaduna North Local Government Area of the state was visited by officials from the Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) while some voters were casting their votes at 9:35 am. The polling unit did not have the usual long queues experienced during the previous presidential and national assembly elections, during which the governor had to wait for hours before casting his vote. However, as of the time of writing, the governor had not yet arrived at his polling unit, unlike during the last election when he joined other eligible voters in the queue to exercise their franchise.

During the presidential election, the All Progressive Congress won Governor El-Rufai's polling unit with 173 votes, while the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party got 134 votes.

Meanwhile, unlike the previous elections, officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission arrived early with materials, and the election began at 8:30 am in most polling units in the metropolis.

At 9:45am, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the candidate of the Labour Party in the Lagos State governorship election, cast his vote at polling unit 045 in Anifowoshe Ikeja, and shared his thoughts on the state of the election with reporters.

INEC officials have arrived at the polling unit of Bola Tinubu, the President-elect, located at PU 085, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, under heavy security.
