PoliticsSoludo, A Political Toddler, Says Ikukuoma By Chuks Collins, Awka by Freedomways070(op): 9:10pm On May 31, 2025
..... never won election on his own

By Chuks Collins, Awka
May 31,2025

The Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has been described as a political toddler who has never contested and won any election on his own.

Making this disclosure at the Chinua Achebe International Airport, Umueri, Anambra East Council of Anambra State this afternoon while addressing journalists and the mammoth crowd that came to receive him and his running mate, Sen Uche Ekwunife on their return from receiving the party flag from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja, the APC candidate- Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu driven by so much confidence said the APC would floor Soludo on November 8,2025 at the poll.

Ikukuoma, as Ukachukwu was popularly called told this to the tumultuous crowd on their arrival when he was treated to a tumultuous reception at the Achebe airport.

In his remarks, the Anambra State APC chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike noted that Gov Soludo and his APGA supporters were celebrating a fake self alliance with APC two earlier when visited the State in his capacity as the nation's President.

But while presenting the APC flag, Tinubu copiously charged Ukachukwu and Ekwunife to "go and get Anambra for me" , which was emphatic and resounding.

He noted that the celebration of the APGA faithful died a natural death with the arrival of Ikukuoma.

According to Ejidike, "Asiwaju Tinubu has confirmed the candidature of Ikukuoma who will lead Anambra to the real center," he said.

Ikukuoma while addressing the mammoth crowd thanked God for his victory at the governorship primary of APC.

"I'm back with a message from President Ahmed Tinubu to all of us in APC, the message is simple 'Go and bring me Anambra', Anambra cannot afford to be backward when issues of Nigeria is being discussed.

"Nkea bu nkeanyi' is not working, we must be get it right now. We are Tinubu, Tinubu is us and we are APC. We will win the election landslide. APC is our party, Tinubu is our president. We will not rig the election, we will win the election clean and clear," he asserted.

The flagbearer urged the party faithful to go all out and bring out the voters who will vote for APC in the governorship election.

"It's over for APGA in Anambra State. Soludo is now very desperate and dropping names and reaching out to stakeholders belatedly. Soludo has never win any election in his life, Obiano won it for him three years ago. November 8 governorship election will show him that he is just floating," he stressed.

The APC guber candidate used the occasion to unveil his running mate, Sen Uche Ekwunife who thanked the people for turning out en-mass to receive her and her principal.

PoliticsIkukuoma Anambra: Here Comes The Governor By Chuks Collins, Awka by Freedomways070(op): 6:11pm On May 29, 2025
It's very cheering to acknowledge the numerous heartwarming reactions already generated by the recent formal presentation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Anambra State Governorship flag for the fast approaching November 8,2025 election to the candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu (Ikukuoma) by His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It really goes without saying that the choice of a consummate politician like Prince Ukachukwu as the flagbearer of APC is very commendable.

The reactions generated so far are indeed reassuring that the party and her members made very good decision in electing him at the primary.

Ikukuoma is a name that opens political doors. It opens business, religious and social doors nationwide all seasons, day and night, etc.

As true democrats, we indeed warmly welcome the open discomfort his emergence and collection of flag has been generating within political families of other parties.

Why not?

Ikukuoma has over the years stood out as an outstanding shinning example in every human endeavors he has delved into.

The excitement that the handover of the party's flag to him has been generating was enough strong indication of his public acceptance, popularity and political sagacity.

It's understandable that other participating candidates and political parties in the November 8,2025 poll were forced into rushed tactical meetings.

They were reported now back to the drawing board for new and heightened strategies and brainstorming sessions.

This was with a view to ensuring they are not completely swallowed up and swept off by the "Ikukuoma" tsunami which literally interpretes as 'wind of glory'.

President Tinubu had during the brief but colourful ceremony expressed high optimism in APC winning Anambra vide Ikukuoma. That it would gladden his heart beyond measure.

Consequently he charged the flagbearer in concert with his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife and the party as a whole to work together to achieve that.

Ukachukwu, a seasoned political gadfly was the pioneer chairman of the Federal Capital Territory and House of Representatives member who represented the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in 1999 etc.
He parades a very rich political resume.

His candidature has actually opened a floodgate of new entrants into the party both at the State and National levels.

Because of him, APC has been described as the largest party in Nigeria today.

Let's all join the moving train!

PoliticsADP Leader Hon. Nnamdi Omeje Applaud Enugu State House Of Assembly. by Freedomways070(op): 8:55pm On Mar 03, 2025
As the leader of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Enugu State, as one who is very close to the masses, I am compelled to address the newly proposed Enugu State tenancy bill. While the bill's intention may be to regulate the relationship between landlords and tenants, it is imperative that we ensure fairness and protection for all parties involved.

Protecting Tenants' Rights

The current bill, in its present form, imposes an undue burden on tenants. I strongly advocate for the removal of legal fees from tenants, as it is the responsibility of landlords to engage legal representation. Asking tenants to pay legal fees after already paying agency fees is tantamount to extortion. This double payment will only serve to further exploit vulnerable tenants, exacerbating the already precarious living conditions faced by many.

Moreover, I recommend that the bill includes provisions to:

- Regulate agency fees to prevent exorbitant charges
- Establish a clear and transparent process for rent payments and disputes
- Provide adequate notice periods for rent increases and tenancy terminations

Mass Housing for Low-Income Earners

Furthermore, I propose that the Enugu State government prioritizes mass housing projects for low-income earners. This initiative will alleviate the pressure on private homes, providing affordable and decent living conditions for our citizens. By investing in mass housing:

- We can reduce the housing deficit and curb the proliferation of slums
- We can provide a safety net for low-income families, ensuring they have access to secure and affordable housing
- We can stimulate economic growth by creating jobs and stimulating local economies

I urge the Enugu State House of Assembly to reconsider the tenancy bill and incorporate provisions that safeguard the interests of tenants. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that our laws promote fairness, justice, and the well-being of all Enugu State residents.

I also call on the Enugu State government to prioritize the welfare of its citizens by investing in mass housing projects and regulating the rental market to prevent exploitation.

Finally, I call on the well meaning and stakeholders to support the bill and the state assembly not to delay in passing the bill for the good of our citizens.

Together, we can create a more just and equitable society for all.

Signed,

Hon. Omeje Nnamdi
