But sincerely speaking there is nothing in Enugu state that moves anyone to the state? But at least many have reasons to go to all those other cities including Aba the op tried to run down. And this applies to many too. Like someone said enugu state is just 8% developed while 97% is still timid and backward with no roads nor health facility unlike Anambra that is over 92% developed with roads connecting every community. That is development and that is how to like a place.
Anambra is still a village when compared to Enugu. That is why 60% of Anambra rich men Live in Enugu. From Soludo to Uba family. There is nothing that moves anyone to the State yet they are the 4th richest state in IGR despite having no oil. You are just sounding like an uneducated trader. Enugu has far more Infrastructure than Anambra. placing Enugu development with Anambra is an insult to Enugu. Enugu is only in the status If Abuja and Lagos. If you want we can set the pictures flying again cheesy

This is the only major road to Nomeh town in Enugu State. And this is one of the many cases like this. Do you categorize this state as developed or window-dressing state? Be sincere can you see this sh1t anywhere in...is this not an insult to development? Let me not compare it with my state roads yet. cool
you have started posting pictures? So tell me the developed state in Nigeria that doesn't have places like that, even Lagos, Abuja. Do you even know Rivers state very well or you think Rivers starts and ends in PH? which your State road? You people should just stop embarrassing yourselves

You are not making any point, I am not hating on Enugu but I only challenged you over your attacks on people that do not agree with you. The previous person drew comparison based on State-wide with those states: Rivers, Cross-River and Kano. Is there anything that takes people to Enugu state even if it is to sleep with a wh.ore, we are not talking of economic importance now? Tell us how Enugu State is not lagging behind when compared to its contemporaries because new born states are not even dulling too. cool
ok, So is Rivers, Cross River, Kano development statewide? Answer this to know the guy is just a hater grin grin

Private Estates International West Africa is the developer of Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City, a world-class mixed use development located in the city of Enugu.

The city, also known as ‘Enugu Centenary City’, is designed to offer a lifestyle of luxury, serenity and security. Its infrastructure development and other related cost are put at about $300 million and the project is being executed through a public-private partnership between the Enugu State Government and Private Estates International. Significant progress has been made in infrastructure while several off takers have commenced construction of their building units.

The key features of the city includes cutting edge infrastructural facilities; state of the art electronic security system, water treatment plants, steady electricity supply, street lightings roads, drain and walkway, telecommunication facilities, wireless network, recreation park, hospital, nursery, primary, secondary school, shopping mall, Club House, 18-hole golf course, 9-hole golf course, 5-star hotel, security post and fire station.

Eze said Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City is the premiere lifestyle city in sub Saharan Africa. Covering about 1,097 hectares, the city is characterized by breathtaking vintage layout and a rare fine blend of functionality that impeccably connects living with sustainable grandeur. Located in independence layout phase 2 along Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway, which is eight minutes’ drive from Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

The City is bordered by rivers and pockmarked by lakes and other water bodies. As with all modern cities around the world, Enugu Lifestyle & Golf City has a combination of residential, commercial and industrial developments.

“The residential development caters for a wide range of housing needs including entry-level, middle-income, executive, and super-exclusive homes. The community is located around an 18-hole golf course that winds itself around the entire stretch of the development. An additional, exclusive 9-hole golf course is located within the Presidential Park Estate and opens to only residents of this super-exclusive, ultra-secure community within a very secure Enugu Lifestyle & Golf City”.

“A 5-star clubhouse and hotel is planned to be the central meeting point for residents in the community. The hotel, to be managed by an international brand, would be located next to a lake and wrapped around the golf course. It will be built as a resort-getaway for business conferences and families desiring a vacation away from their busy daily lives.” Eze said.

He added that other amenities like schools, places of worship, sports facilities, and many others will be provided to make this a self-sustaining city. No other city in Nigeria is conceived in this nature.
While Enugu is busy developing one hater is here calling it an old city.. Nonsense.

Freeglobe stop attacking people and prove him wrong word by word. He made a point that Calabar, PH and Kano have all left Enugu behind and that is the truthful point I got from him. Let us look at development State-wide and not a small space of land built on. I di aredn't see anything in Enugu state that makes it look better than others only that you too emotional.

[s][/s]
SMH..

Why is it cool for you people to hate on Enugu? Peter obi, the former governor of Anambra State ruled from Enugu for 8 years. When Peter obi was doing nothing in Anambra building substandard single lane roads, you were all praising him but now turn around to hate on a state that has made real substantial progress. We should be thanking God we can now even think of competing with Enugu because of what obiano currently is doing.

How has Calabar, PH and Kano left Enugu behind? Enugu is the third most financially stable state in Nigeria today ahead of those states you mentioned except PH. Is development in Rivers State State-Wide? Have you been to Buguma, Ogoni and other villages in Rivers State. Abeg park for one side... Hating on the achievement of Enugu can not change nothing.

[s]All you have said are your opinion and does not reflect the reality, you can jumping from here to Jericho but the truth will still stare you in the face. I said Enugu state does not measure up with it contempories like PH, Kano, Calabar etc, these are the towns that were created as at the time Enugu was created but they have all left Enugu behind.

I said that 92% of Enugu state is still rural because it is the truth. A little drive away from the few urban roads in enugu will hit you with primitive and backward communities without even roads to start with. I want to see a wholly developed Enugu state and not showing us few urban roads as enugu state. You think all the rural roads were constructed by individuals in Anambra? You don't get bro, it's tiny 5% that were done by individuals.

People had their residences in enugu not because enugu is better but because enugu was the former capital of eastern region. Today it is changing very fast thereby leaving enugu to its own indigenes who cannot do much. People are now going to their places to develop and reside. On the issue of more people staying in Enugu state, is enugu state more populous than Anambra or Imo or even Abia state? The simple indices of knowing where more people reside is population indices. Enugu does not have the best estates, there are even better and more modern estates in Asaba, Awka, Owerri, Umuahia and even Uyo. Stop deceiving yourself because we all know the truth. Enugu is an old town and remains at that nothing more. Enugu is not melting point for anybody, it is only melting point for enugu state people and nothing more. You guys should stop embarrassing yourselves here. Enugu does not have any better roads than others, all those few roads that were once being flashed on NL have all gone bad with potholes. Be sincere to yourself.

I do not hate Enugu state people but you cannot run down another state just to uphold yours. I do not support bad-blood. I still want to know why enugu state is lagging behind in developing holistically like other SE states so that pressure in the little landmass of enugu urban can be spread.
[/s]
This your entire post reeks of hate and belongs to the dustbin. Enugu is the best city in Eastern Nigeria (including uyo, ph, and calabar).. If you like rant from now till tomorrow, it won't change anything. There is no estate in The entire SS/SE that is better than independence layout. None

The fact is the colour of the mall is very uninspiring, even the colour of the Ghananian mall posted looks shabby, I will personally recommend the changing of the colour of the mall, as it makes it looks bland. The colour of Westfield mall below should be more appropriate. If you want to be a major player, play in the big league rather than minor league.
Again I disagree with you, I don't even like the color of the Westfield mall you posted. The painting of the onitsha mall is of the best international standard. Where you would have had a point is if it was the interior. The interior should be sparkling and properly lighted. Check out the painting of Walmart and also Enugu Mall

A 21st century Nigerian city that will place this country on the spot-light. Kwatta and Amawbia flyovers will have even greater out-look. We must maintain standard infrastructural drive all round to keep far from Nigerian factor. Anambra first!
This is good. Apart from the flyovers the major/important roads within Anambra Cities need to be expanded and dualized. I know this is going to take demolishing houses built along the roads but it still has to be done. Just look at the traffic situation at ziks avenue awka despite its being dualized.. this is how to plan for the future

lol okay lemme educate your illetrate biafran assss using the simplest logic possible...

Let's use family A and family B as example ..

Family A's head of the family generates 50naira monthly
While family B generates just 20naira..

Head of family A uses all the 50 naira generated to drink beer and take care of frivolous things while the children are poor and unkempt.

While the family B uses the 20 naira generated take care of his family and give them what they needed... Which family is richer between the two?

Family A Ebonyi, family B, osun ...

Now go to bed .. cheesy
lmaoooo

But Family is not owning his children (workers) salaries but Family B is owning 12 months salaries and depending on gifts from Churches to feed his children (workers). You are a joke. lmao

Enugu and Calabar are old cities that have been overtaken by the most modern architectures. Uyo, Awka, Asaba, Owerri, Umuahia and Yenogoa are newer thereby coming up with newer designs and even better infrastructures.
Enugu has better modern infrastructures than those cities.. Enugu is still developing. A centenary city in the works. Enugu has never been overtaken and will not in the next 10 years

The changing landscape and skyline of Awka
27 NOVEMBER 2015

Awka the capital city of Anambra state is gradually undergoing a rebirth, thanks to the vision of Governor Willie Obiano who has been the governor for only 18 months.
I took this picture earlier today at the popular Aroma junction and felt very proud. Who would have thought that 'big idea' projects like this flyover bridge at Aroma junction Awka would ever be built in Anambra state? Or the 2 other ones being built at Kwata and Amawbia junctions.
The changing landscape and skyline of Awka is a further testimony to what Ndi Anambra have been saying for long;
The bold is very important and it is why I support Obiano. Dude has great ideas. The flyover is looking like a masterpiece.. All these people talking nonsense about obiano should just go and die.

Stop pretending like you don't know our problem is a product of inability to diversify Nigerian economy. Buhari has done well in reducing the impact of the shock. The sharp fall in oil prices starting from last quater of 2014 is the cause of our economic problems. Let us support every move to diversify our economy and stop playing unnecessary politics.
Buhari does not have any excuse to perform. If he can't deal with the issues he should resign immediately

Nigerians Growing Poorer For First Time Since 1999 - Businessday

Nigerians are growing poorer for the first time since the return to democracy in 1999 as an economic slowdown combines with still high population growth rates to curb income per capita. Average incomes in Nigeria will fall by about 18 percent in 2015 to $2,550 per annum, from over $3,000 in 2014.
