Shymm3x: With the gazillion of talents and achievers posted on this thread - that's enough to tilt Yorubaland into the 21st century. However, the big elephant in the room is Nigeria - the wasteland and the country that should NEVER have existed in the first place.
But how can we harness all these talents? Any ideas? How possible will it be for yoruba to secede? do you support the disintegration of Nigeria? |

For heaven's sake what's our business with this. yoruba and hate... smh.. Nairaland is now an international site and not your regular brown roof website, so Igbos have to step in with their midas touch and maintain the site. Its not something to be sad about.. Abagworo: We all know Enugu is not up to Port Harcourt in anything. Some people made that fallacious comparison. Please shut up. You have been battered on this thread. Do you want more pictures? I have not even posted half of the pictures I have. PH is only better than Enugu by mouth and nothing else. Port Harcourt is a big slum |

tupacshakur: B!tch, Brown roofs and uncontrollable gully erosion, which would you prefer?
For your schooling, the eye-catching brown roofs of Ibadan are part of your heritage as Yorubas. They define us as a People and remind us of our glorious, indelible past.
I leave you with this poem titled "Ibadan" by an Ijaw man, J.P Clark:
Ibadan
Ibadan, running splash of rust and gold -flung and scattered among seven hills like broken china in the sun... Are you saying ibadan is the most ancient city in the world? fyi there are also gully erosions in yorubaland but lets leave that issue for now. I am passionate about the development of yorubaland just like my friend ilekehd |

IlekeHD: Omo Yorubas, let's not wait for FG to fix our region. I see you are so passionate about development of yorubaland. This is commendable although a very difficult task since fixing those brown roofs and mud houses will be capital intensive, or what do you think? |

enochnochi: My dear, there's need to encourage our local firms. That's the only way others will see what they've done and patronize them. I kpoo oba gi mkpokoro, agbatobi e were a kpoo ntu. If we must attract foreign investors, then we must patronize our indigenous investors first. Imagine the impression foreigners will have if Innoson manufactures his vehicles and no one in Nigeria is buying the vehicles. Let's not condemn them, if there is any area they need improvement, let's bring that to their notice. I believe they'll improve with time. I need to see one quality project done by IDC. They are not the only local indigenous construction firm but Anambra govt gives them most of the jobs available. Anyway I'm waiting to see what they will do with the Awka flyovers first. |

asha80: Na private stuff wetin you expect? Private stuffs in the east always seem to be better than govt things not the east, infrastructure in Enugu is at par with what you can get in Abuja and lagos. |

Tex42: IDC needs to improve the quality of their work and project execution, CCC seems to be doing better than them. Take a look at the bridge leading to the oil rig being constructed by CCC... IDC has never deliverd any project worthy of note in Anambra. This is why I'm still skeptical of the flyovers they are constructing in Awka. There is another one called Paul b which built the poorly designed secretariat. I guess these companies are owned by Peter obi else I don't know why they were and are still getting contracts in the state. Why can't Anambra State govt hire trusted construction companies to handle their projects? This IDC should just be used in the Local Government level. The company even looks overwhelmed with the flyover projects and other projects they are all handling. |

Abagworo: Lol. Where is the finest place you've entered in Port Harcourt and how come you wrote Enugu has more flyovers? We have now counted 10 flyovers as I skipped Agip earlier. Where are the Enugu flyovers? Coming from someone that was condemning Enugu flyovers, this is airforce flyover.. I hope It wasn't among those you counted

Abagworo: I do not believe you've been to Port Harcourt. The day you actually come to Port Harcourt then you will realise your mistakes. All the pictures you posted just proves Enugu has a lot of problems. Meanwhile where is the list of Enugu flyovers? I know port harcourt more than you! From rumuokoro to rumuola, from romuokoro to eleme juntion, from eleme junction to mile 1, rumuomasi, rumukwurushi, rumueme, etc |
