@NETHACKER, I am just about to organise the cash. I cant make it for tommorow, hopefully nextweek. I am scheduling my appointment for june, all may slots have been taken.

@nethacker, na masters degree i dey go for ooo. So, I shldnt bother to take the toefl? How do I get to pay the sevis fees?

if the school says you are proficient,, then i guess it means they think you are proficient. You can still try to take the toefl exams if you so wish, to show the embassy. nethacker what do you think?,

for the tab of english proficiency, what did the I20 state for you? Did it say you were proficient or what?

I have an issue, I hav an i20 presently, on it, its written that i am not yet proficient inn English and that English Instructions will be given to me at the school. Can that affect my visa interview or I should do toefl? on the I20, there  is no presence of scholarship. do you thin consulars consider these to give visa?

On d ds 160 form I fill online,I didn't upload my passport and I av submitted it, Hope dat will nt affect my interview? Also it trust dat the school has send the account statement which I apply wiv to d embassy?kindly reply to dis

@khunleah, the embassy/consulate in Nigeria doesnt require uploaded photos, A physical passport must be brought with you to the interview

can i use a fixed deposit account with a confirmation from the bank that the money will be readily available? Is there anyone in the house that has used only a fixed deposit to secure a visa?

Can a fixed deposit account be used to apply for a visa i.e be taken to the visa interview? Is it accepted at the consulate? as proof of funds?

@ meddler, if its for job, I advise you to start applying online. since you have an international degree, you will not have troubles gettting good jobs with good pay too. goodluck.

sup, how are your preparation for exams going. hope kool. I have applied online and paid the $40, requested for transcripts for school and evaluation agency (although av not paid the fee for evaluation yet) I have also sent the application materials to the college of graduate studies by courier today. (including goals statement, CV, immunization, financial, ) I dont know if you can help me push buttons at the IT department as I told you that my GRE scores were low .

   I have gone to the mankato site.my gre score is on the average. Can i still apply for masters in IT. And also for the affidavit of support. I only have a fixed deposit account of well over the tuition and living expenses. Which transcript evaluation service did you use an how much did it cost? I am about to apply online. Should I go ahead? If yes, pls tell me some other things i need to know about the school.
