So my friend proposed to his longtime girlfriend of 3 years this month. They are already planning to go and see her parents later next month and to also get a date for the wedding sometime in December this year. They don't always have issues, and anytime they do, they will resolve it within a day or so. So, my friend saw his fiancée's comment on Instagram validating Frank Edoho's ex-wife opening her legs to Chike (another man) while married to Mr. Edoho. In her argument, she said that she was right to open her legs to another man because Frank confessed that he keeps malice as a form of punishment. For the sake of anonymity, I can't share the screenshot here. He (my guy) has already made up his mind to quit the relationship because he sees her comment as a red flag that should not be ignored. I tried to talk him out of it, but it seems his mind is made up. What can I do to help?

A political storm is building in Kogi State after a campaign poster surfaced online depicting Murtala Yakubu Ajaka (Muri) as running mate to House of Representatives member Hon. James Faleke for the 2027 governorship election. But close associates to Ajaka have loudly dismissed the material as “pure fabrication” crafted to mislead the public. Ajaka, who flew the SDP flag in the 2023 Kogi governorship race, has not made any political alignment public since the election, making the sudden emergence of the poster a subject of intense speculation. ‘Complete falsehood from mischief makers’ — insider reacts Speaking with reporters, a close confidant of Ajaka, Alhaji Sule Mustapha, strongly denied the rumour, describing the poster as a deliberate attempt to spark confusion within Kogi’s political space. According to him, the idea that Ajaka would serve as Faleke’s deputy is politically impossible, given their long and complicated political history. Why Ajaka will not be Faleke’s deputy — insiders list key obstacles Mustapha went further to outline five core reasons why such a political alliance is unrealistic: 1. Long-standing political hostility between both men According to Mustapha, the rift between Faleke and Muri dates back to 2015, after the death of Prince Abubakar Audu. Ajaka reportedly worked against Faleke’s interest in the succession battle that eventually produced Yahaya Bello as governor. The friction resurfaced in 2019 when Ajaka allegedly supported decisions that led to the disqualification of several Igala aspirants, a move believed to have weakened Faleke’s bloc. Mustapha insists that “Faleke has not forgotten these episodes,” making any partnership “politically unnatural.” 2. Image crisis: Muri is seen by some as an ‘unrepentant serial betrayer’ The insider also revealed that Ajaka suffers from a reputation among certain Kogi powerbrokers as someone who “cannot be trusted in long-term political arrangements.” He claimed this perception alone makes Faleke — known for loyalty-driven political structures — unlikely to consider Muri for such a sensitive position. 3. Academic controversy: Barewa College certificate issue Mustapha further referenced the long-rumoured Barewa College certificate controversy, arguing that the unresolved questions around the credentials have damaged Ajaka’s public standing. According to him, the issue has created a narrative that Muri is “not academically grounded, not a technocrat, and lacks the communication clarity expected of someone positioned for executive office.” 4. Years of lobbying Faleke for a Senate ticket The insider also alleged that Ajaka has spent years begging Faleke to assist him in securing a senatorial ticket, but to no avail. This, he said, makes the idea of Muri suddenly becoming Faleke’s running mate “illogical,” as the relationship has never been politically balanced. 5. Still afraid to rejoin APC — because of one man Perhaps the most revealing claim is Mustapha’s statement that Ajaka has refused to return to the APC, not because he dislikes the party, but because of fear of a powerful Igala politician within the party who is extremely loyal to Faleke. According to him, Muri believes rejoining APC would expose him to internal battles he cannot win. Political analysts: Poster may be part of early 2027 propaganda Independent observers suggest the poster may be part of a larger propaganda play, possibly designed to: unsettle Ajaka’s supporters, test public reaction to political alignments, or weaken Faleke’s internal calculations ahead of 2027. With Kogi’s next election still two years away, analysts warn that early misinformation campaigns will become more frequent.
