Quick question pls, is it because of the high wattage of the panels or can I just sell off the panels and get smaller ones like 250 watts X 4 Will it work with the inverter or the inverter is just too small to carry any panel above 500watt? Cos tbh, the 535 watt I installed is working perfectly.

Instead of selling those panels, sell the inverter at a little loss and get bread inverter

Omoh Solar setup just cost more and more money. This is just a 12v system and I have already spent way more than I imagined. When I wanted to get the Haisic 1.5kva & 3.6kwh battery, no one told me I’ll still need an MPPT for just 2 panels but lesson learnt . There is absolutely no advantage of using a 12v system if you’ll still have to use MPPT that cost money. Now I can see myself spending another reasonable sum just to charge battery while still spending close to 25k every month on electricity (prepaid).
Anyways my location is mainland Lagos and I’ll be interested in the USED 80A MPPT you have for sale. Thank you!

If you can, sell the inverter and get another inverter. Some 12v inverters go over 100vdc, I think bread do too.

Buy a servo stabilizer. My old school 15kva servo stabilizer is capable of boosting 90V to 198V. Anything above 120V is straight 220V. An MVP for mad public supply of Nigeria!

I would have advised you to change priority to sbu but when the sbu is triggered you will still have the bypass. The only solution is to either improve the grid by using a Stablizer or get more panels. I would vote for getting more panels.

Rewire your 5kva stabilizer to power the whole house. Mine does minus water heater and electric cooker and it does a great job. We go as low as 160 sometimes and I still charge at 25 amps while powering the house.

I usually charge between 40-20 amps depending on voltage.

It's a 3 bedroom apartment and being using that stabilizer since 2020.

I'm using a 5kva stabilizer, dedicated to only the inverter, and it's not stable.

Even go as low as 190 sometimes.

That shouldn't happen. Bread inverter has the option to use from 90v to 280v. Just go to your manual

Anyways that's not really the problem, the issue is that, the voltage been bypassed is unstable and sometimes less than 220v, my freezer works within 220v to 240v, so, once the voltage drops below the 22v, it trips the freezer.

So was wondering if it's possible for the AC input to just charge the battery, while I draw from the battery, with a more stable voltage

Check your AC charging current and reduce by 5 maybe. You should be able to power your load while charging.

Say your charging current is 25 Amps, change to 20 Amps or better still get an external charger like someone recommended above.

It's already at 5 amps, looks like external charger is the best bet.

why not physically disconnect the grid's (NEPA/PHCN) AC input from the inverter's AC-IN terminals so as to completely eliminate bypass and force the inverter to run exclusively on solar power ?

Solar is not enough sometimes, some days, I barely generate much.

Will love to charge with NEPA but the light is unstable, even with stabilizer. although it charges, it trip off my appliances sometimes.

It have drum for power input ... The place used to get very hot if too many power banks are plugged into the overall system... So the power pins don't last long.

To bypass the problem, visit electrician to solder live and neutral wires in the back just where the power pins dey

I took this very wasteful route before.

Tell him to buy QC 3.0 DC charging modules. If he have patience, order from temu or AliExpress.... But if patience no dey, buy from jiji and have it waybilled to your location

To power it, take it to electrician to soldier live/Neutral wire directly in the back where the pin indicates because the thing gets quite hot with power pin and power pins spoil easily...

So take the charging modules to electrician to soldier live/neutral wire to the back ... Now connect all the wires by polarity to the charge controller or battery and boom ... No need for expensive chargers again

If a charging module burn (very rare) just take it to electrician to repair it.

Don't mind my haphazard method... I connected all the live together and put the neutral I to the socket so I can just pull out the neutral wire to turn off a particular charger.

You can buy wall light switch and call electrician to wire it for you so you can be turning a particular charger on/off by just pressing the switch
