The Facebook-owned messaging service currently boasts 2Billion users worldwide, but it will cut off millions from it's platform in the next two years. WhatsApp sneakily revealed the purge in an update to an old blog post titled "support for older operating systems". In it, the company says it will refusal support for the following systems on February 1, 2020: Android Gingerbread versions 2.3.7 and older. Users of those operating systems can no longer create new WhastApp accounts, but will be able to use the app until the deadline. What's more, the app could stop functioning at any time, so maybe it's time to buy a new phone. Android Gingerbread launched in 2010 and still makes up for 0.3 percent of Android's market share – which amounts to roughly six million devices. Back in December, WhatsApp ended support for BlackBerry OS (including BlackBerry 10) and Windows Phone 8.0 and older. The iPhone 3GS is one of the phones that no longer supports WhatsApp This is what the fill list of operating systems that are no longer supported by the app now looks like: Full, Details http://cdorffmedia..com/2018/07/whatsapp-will-stop-working-on-these.html?m=1 |

A banker at a commercial bank in Nigeria revealed on social media the new methods fraudsters use to scam innocent people at the ATM, Read and learn below.. “I work as a Support Staff for a commercial bank, and I have witnessed this New Crime case twice this week alone!!! You walk to an ATM and someone (fraudster) approaches you. The person may show you wads of cash and claim they have exceeded their withdrawal limit of 150k, and that they still need more cash. They then plead to make a money transfer into your own bank account so that you can withdraw it for them. The TROUBLING thing in this seemingly harmless random act of kindness is that transfers are usually made from STOLEN PHONES or HACKED BANK ACCOUNTS!!! The person who owns the bank account which the money transfer was initiated from would report to his bank, and the bank would send out a circular to the recipient’s bank with instructions to be carried out – which usually includes freezing your own account, BVN flagging, and on most times an order for your apprehension. The next thing you would discover is that the next time you try to use your ATM card to withdraw, your transactions will be unsuccessful. You then go to your bank and you get the news. You will thank your stars if there’s no MEMO to apprehend you and hand you over to the Police immediately – for something you surely don’t know about. You may be advised to quickly go get a Police Report. The 18-year-old boy was sent to withdraw money from his bank account by his Mom. On getting to the ATM, he was held at gun point by the fraudsters and the money transfer was made, money withdrawn, and he was released. The money here was 40k. The boy was advised to report himself to the Police, and he should follow up with the bank. The adult customer was approached respectfully by a fraudster brandishing loads of cash. So, he felt at ease and ‘helped’, not knowing he had been exposed for flagging. Here, the amount of money involved was 50k. The customer who has about 1 million naira in his bank account has now been undone because of 50k he knows nothing about. Now, there’s a MEMO to have the customer arrested anytime he steps into any of the bank branches. Who knows if the stolen phones were acquired via One Chance armed robbers or the bank transfer details were supplied by Serial Hackers? This is a serious criminal issue. Remember, if you have your BVN flagged, then you are so done with any legal financial dealings. DO NOT HELP ANYBODY AT THE ATM!!! NOT EVEN AN OLD FRIEND, CHURCH MEMBER OR WHATSOEVER. SAY NO TO STRANGERS WHO APPROACH YOU FOR ANY TRANSFER FOR WITHDRAWAL AT THE ATM." Full Details, Here https://onlinelaunch..com/2018/07/banker-reveal-new-atm-scam-fraudsters.html?m=1 |

Let’s argue this out once and for all! The poor are getting poorer while the rich are getting richer because; there is injustice in this country, the government is not looking after the welfare of the poor, the rich are amassing wealth unduly, and the rich are selfish. Are all these are correct, right? WRONG! Let me show you five reasons why the rich are getting richer. Why are the rich getting richer and the poor always complaining? When I mean the rich, I don’t mean the Adenuga’s, Dangote’s, and other billionaires – those ones are far away from us. I mean the young hustlers who are making so much money from the internet that people now think they are into Yahoo Yahoo. If after reading, you can click to see this wonderful business idea you can use and make money for yourself, and become financially free. 1. The Rich Love Learning About Anything That Brings Money The best way to spot someone who has no plans to work hard is to see them shout “scam” when a wonderful money making idea is presented to them. Talks like “if you are making so much money, why are you sharing it?” is something that is common. They forget the fact that we are 170 Million people in Nigeria, which means that the market is extremely large for anyone to offer a service and make money. Give a rich man an idea; he doesn’t castigate the idea till he has tried it several times without any headway. 2. Working Hard Is Another When I mean Hard work, I don’t mean standing under the sun or being busy. Hard work is something most of us don’t have. Have you ever tried something more than 10x and it didn’t work, yet you continued? Have you ever engaged in a business that didn’t yield initial success until after 2 years, yet you continued? When I say hard work, I mean putting your body and mind, striving till you find success. Most poor people try something for just a month, and the next thing you hear is “It doesn’t work.” If success comes so easy, everyone would have been a millionaire in Nigeria. Members of the Writers Guild of America West saw their earnings surge 2.8% to $1.41 billion in 2017, thanks to mostly to gains in feature films and new media residuals. Total covered earnings for WGA West members topped $1.2 billion for the fourth consecutive year, but the number of writers reporting earnings rose by 1.8% to 5,819, the guild disclosed in its annual report to members via its membership and finance committee, chaired by Aaron Mendelsohn. The stats in the report — which will start hitting members’ mailboxes this week — underscore the healthy state of show business economics. Negotiators for the WGA West, which has about 9,000 members, stressed that point repeatedly during last year’s contentious negotiations with production companies, which saw a 96% strike authorization and a deal that was concluded an hour before the previous contract expired on May 1, 2017. Hollywood screenwriters’ earnings surged 6.1% last year to $420.9 million, and the number of writers reporting earnings rose 3.9% to 1,940. TV and digital platform writers’ earnings edged up 1.4% to $976.3 million, and the number of writers working declined by 13 to 4,670. Former Fox News executive Bill Shine’s White House appointment by President Trump has drawn ire across social media. Many Twitter users have been quick to point out that he resigned as co-president of Fox News in 2017 due to his close relationship with Roger Ailes and accusations that he attempted to cover up Ailes’ alleged sexual harassment allegations. Gretchen Carlson, who filed the first sexual harassment lawsuit almost exactly two years ago, pointed out the irony in a tweet, saying: “This …. on the 2 year anniversary eve of filing my harassment lawsuit; giving women a voice, letting them know you can be believed, launching a national movement to stand up and speak up and say enough is enough. Life… works in mysterious ways. #BeFierce” Former “Chelsea” host Chelsea Handler mocked the White House’s officials statement regarding the Shine hiring, tweeting “The White House said he “brings over two decades of television programming, communications, and coverup of sexual harassment.”” Several prominent media figures were also quick to point out Shine’s checkered history in the public eye. Chris Hayes, host of “All In” on MSNBC, touched on how American citizens should be filled in on Shine’s role in the Ailes allegations, given his salary is now paid by American taxpayers. Popular Vox columnist Ezra Klein tweeted about the appointment being in line with a strategy off “triggering the libs,” speculating the appointment was engineered to make liberals angry and/or upset. A shocking trending video making the rounds online has called for caution among Nigerians to be very careful when employing house maids. Two boys who disguised perfectly as girls were recently apprehended by the authorities after they were discovered to be what they are not. After they were arrested and taken to the station, the boys allegedly confessed that they pretended to be girls in order to be employed. Imagine what they would have done to the female children left in their care. They were asked to show their private parts (including the fake breasts) right there in the station as they were filmed. A Facebook user who posted the video online urged people to thoroughly check housemaids before employing them. [quote author=Freshredirect post=61895757]A heartbreaking video showcasing a young Nigerian’s truly harrowing life experiences has been uploaded to YouTube. In the clip, a Nigerian named Harrison solemnly narrates how he barely escaped death after an ill-fated attempt to illegally travel to Italy from Libya. Out of 142 on board his makeshift boat, only three survived. The Nigerian was taken to a Libyan prison where he languished for almost five years. After ‘miraculously’ securing release, his return to Nigeria was to prove an even bigger shock. His wife, thinking him dead, had married one of his closest friends. His only son was dead. Here is his story: 142 people set out on the intrepid voyage that night. 142 naïve men, women and children on a journey to the unknown. 142 recklessly risking their lives in the pursuit of a ‘better future’ in Europe. But 142 never arrived. 139 descended to a watery grave that night. 139 families cruelly robbed of their loved one. 139 destinies battered by the howling winds of the Mediterranean Seas. Harrison was one of the only three survivors, clinging desperately onto an empty oil can. Unbeknown to him, the life he stubbornly clung to was a reality far worse than death… A better life lay waiting for him, they said. A land flowing with proverbial ‘milk and honey’. An ‘easy job’ with ‘easy money’ abroad. Desperation easily fell for the tactics of deception and Harrison agreed. The married dock-worker who had recently lost his job was lulled into the false belief that travelling abroad to Europe ‘no matter the cost’ was the best option. What began with hope ended up in a journey of perilous danger and bitter despair. Harrison set out five years ago, bidding his wife and young son a tearful farewell and promising he would speak with them as soon as he reached ‘Italy’. He never did. A tumultuous passage through the desert finally led the young Nigerian to the North African nation of Libya. Alongside 141 others, hustled into a small ‘rubber dinghy’, Harrison was pushed into the sea by those heading an intricate network of human trafficking. Mid-journey, the makeshift boat hit a rock and began leaking. Chaos ensued. As water began filling up the boat amidst the screams and cries of its occupants, Harrison beheld a shocking sight that seared his conscience. A mother held her crying baby aloft as the frail boat began to sink. Before his eyes, he witnessed the ocean swallow mother and son. Gone. Life snuffed out in one foul watery swoop. As the boat capsized, Harrison grabbed onto an empty can that once contained oil. To his left and right, those he travelled with submerged into the abyss. With his strength failing, a ship of Libyan coast guards emerged from the shadows. Hauled aboard, his ‘rescuers’ brutally beat him to a stupor. The following morning, he painfully awoke – not in hospital – but in a dingy prison cell. The horrors Harrison witnessed in a Libyan underground dungeon go far beyond the meager description mere words can provide. It was almost five years of ‘hell on earth’. Life became cheap to the startling degree that Harrison witnessed dead bodies carried out of the cell on a daily basis. With hopes of a release barely minimal and scores of new inmates pouring into the dungeons daily, the young Nigerian had an unusual dream one night. He saw himself in a large church receiving prayer from a ‘man of God’. He woke in a cold sweat. Shortly afterwards, Harrison was among the over 600 Nigerians in Libya who were deported with the intervention of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), a branch of the United Nations. However, freedom came along with a heartbreaking reality. Returning to his home in Ejigbo, Lagos State, the first residents who saw the ‘prodigal son’ disbelievingly threw sand on him, thinking he was a ghost. Rumours had spread like wildfire that Harrison had died since his departure five years earlier. Assuring them he was a real person, he was led solemnly to his former house. There, the shock of his life awaited. His wife had remarried – to his best friend. His only son had died. Five years wasted. Five years lost. Five years that changed everything. Forlorn and malnourished, Harrison recalled the dream he had in the Libyan prison and headed to The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN). He was not alone. In May 2017, more than N15m was provided to deportees by the church’s humanitarian arm, alongside two bags of rice each. This show of compassion touched him to the core as he realised that what he sought for abroad was actually available in his own country. Harrison called on the youth of Nigeria to never undergo such a journey and be content with what they have. After hearing his sordid experiences, T.B. Joshua gave Harrison the sum of N120,000 to help him start a new life. https:///1PdQdO |
