still not activated here, got it on Wednesday last week , so so “ we’ve escalated to the backend” I dae here

emmyskies:
I was calling cc steady. When I call cc, they'll take my imei and serial number to the support team to fix. Support team will close the case and say they've fixed whereas I'm unable to browse.

I got really frustrated when I got the wind of this.

I resorted going to their office physically and threatening them. I demanded for a refund immediately. I called the mtn agent that sold it to me and told him I brought their device back to take back my money. He was pleading and assured me it would be fixed. He requested that I remove the sim from the ODU device and insert in a small phone so when they perform a "sim purge" as he called it, it would take effect. He said he'll forward my number to their hq to perform the purging.

I held my peace but told them I'll be back for refund.

Gbam!!! Fixed.

imagine all the street they’re putting people through for your own money

emmyskies:
After close to two months, MTN have activated my ODU physical sim

did you call the cc or you went to their office

michlins:
me and them are currently going back and forth on Twitter with NCC

same thing I’m doing here, but mines eSIM, messaged on twitter, on WhatsApp , have called cc close to 10 times, it’s the same, be patient, 24 hours to 48 hours, since on Wednesday, the whole thing is very frustrating

michlins:
are you using the esim version or physical sim. If it's physical sim, forget about it,if it's esim,it will be fixed

its the esim version so hopefully

Jamboscore:
They asked for phone number and ODU IMEI number. Yes it took almost 72 hours.

okay I'll wait then, I appreciate your response

Jamboscore:
I’m not sure it works that way, though. I got both of my devices in Port Harcourt. The ODU comes with 1GB of free data upon completion of SIM registration. Most times, people don’t realize that the device hasn’t been activated yet until the welcome data gets exhausted.

I usually receive that message between 24–72 hours after purchase. However, I keep calling customer care repeatedly until I get the migration done. This is just based on my personal experience, though.

they still havent activated mine, they ask for imei and serial then tell me to wait 24 hours , its been close to 72 hours still nothing, is that same they did to you, or you did something different?

same thing I’m experiencing now, the free 1gb made me think it had activated , going on two days now , haven’t gotten the welcome bonus, SIM card is still on pulse plan , having calling them and texting them, no fix yet
