I wldnt believe the so called Fulanis would be so dumb and senseless to have committed such atrocious acts, and still keep the body within their domain. I'm not qualified to exonerate or finger anybody(same for almost all of us), but it wouldn't be too wrong to call for caution, and make sure the culprits are apprehended and dealt with. RIP to the deceased. |
Miss YG, this life is a "pass or take", you do not always have to chip in something. Our cultural heritages are what we seem to have taken immense pleasure in desecrating; leading to our continued nose dive-every wise- nowadays. This our Kings, Chiefs or any cultural touch bearers are mortals like ourselves, and am sure do not claim to have any moral or social sanctity, hence I find it very difficult to find ANY reason why you would so criminalise the Crown Prince. Even developed countries and first rate/class countries till this very moment are ran by Monarchies- see the respect an average Brits lavish on the Queen (the Queen's recent birthday is a testament), Saudis despite claiming to know and believe only Allah deserves all praises and adorations still respect and adore their King and his family. So I ask, why do we always find joy and peace in desecrating our own kings/chiefs/ leaders! Need I remind you lots that it is not the person you guys are destroying, but the institution and dynasties (if they still mean anything) they represent-whether you recognise them or not- you are destroying, and that too translates into how we are being perceived Locally/Regionally/Globally. |

For the underprivileged lot, it's going to be a run of very cold nights and hot days. Expectations of them, are going to be high, and the best thing for any of them would be to engage in any enterprising ventures; be it sales or service. It'd be very frustrating to be looking for a non-existent job (almost), and before any job arrives, the stipends accruing from this business would help a lot. |
Interesting. But on a serious note, this system (of shipping in of fairly used cars/tokunbo) doesn't portend well for a country that has lots of aspirations, and these policy (wholesale importation of almost everything; toothpicks, brush, pencils etc) must be nipped in the bud if we want to get out of this current poverty den. Environmentally, the Emission rate of this vehicles are damn high, and it's part of the reason they can't actually be used up there in their respective countries. Economically, it's bad taste, and kills our local industry. For every single car/autos that's been imported, the country is losing a whole "value-chain" of products that could hitherto be locally produced. This means our abundant manpower and natural supply are put to waste, and we'd continually rely on imports which exponentially affects and erodes our local production capacity. Nigeria, if we'll ever develop, we must begin to take and channel SERIOUS attention towards this kind of issues. For our Junketing President-in-Chief, it is not enough to travel abroad almost all the time, there's an Automatic policy from the past regime, let's (fine tune, if you deem fit) sustain it, and pursue it rigorously. A serious or aspiring economy cannot continue think in a "Tokunbo-manner". Omo Naija Eronu. |
Rijkaard is still a very big coach in Barca's history. He was instrumental in reviving and taking the team from ground zero to what it is today- Messi's attribute is a mild confirmation. I love his style, but unfortunately, he left Barca in extra-football related circumstances. |
