I am presently in Malaysia.I will post pics next week monday when i return to Nigeria.

This is my story.

After reading posts about travelling on this forum and gathering of all informations which really helps you to prepare your mind against anything.

I got my malaysian Visa through a friend. 3 Months of course.
I booked my hotel for 7 days with first night paid with my GTB mastercard.
Got my yellow card.
My BTA/PTA = 1800 $ (As a first time traveller,I end up paying 300$ to nigerian Immigrations at the airport for some sorts of documents and delays which is normal because they will only delay you if you decline.If you are first time travel just have that at the back of your mind.) So i was left with only 1500$ to malaysia.
Booked by return flight ticket through egyptair for 199,506.00 Naira. 4 hours transit in cairo. Free transit for Nigerian P.

After i got to the point of Entry last week saturday at KL airport.I filled an immgration form and you ill be asked to go to one office in same place to verfiy and confirm your yellow card.Mind you as cheap and small a yellow card is.I did mine for 1k naira.They deported a Nigerian because of it and the guy was crying after coming this far.So please for anything don't forget it.



After the lady confirmed my yellow card,I returned to the immigration officer at KL airport.She confirmed all documents.My flight,My hotel and one thing i noticed.She did not ask me how much i have with me because those Nigerian immgration wrote 1700$ cash at hand on my flight ticket.So i think thats what she looked at and looked at my face then she said welcome to Malaysia.I was like ! are you serious,Is that all? I asked the question twice and she nodded her head.I was like.Man am so lucky.


Paid for my hotel one week 500$ and 1000$ converted is 3070 RM ringgit.With this you can shop and shop.Food is a bonus.Will be back to nija this weekend.Still having fun here and please the indians here are desperate.Two have walked up to me for some cash but i declined and i walk with a security now. As side that Malaysia is it. Where i am writing this from is close to the KLCC TOWER at 10pm malaysian time tuesday.


I am a first time traveler and i am happy to have broken that first time traveller hassle with immigrations in Nigeria.Next time 300$ will never.I mean never,I say never go like that.

@Poster. Qualification doesn't matter to men. The category of men approaching you matters. Men have different qualities they want in a lady.In this part of the world we live in, a lady should try to date a man who is above her in everything sense Meaning educational wise,Financial,Social,Moral etc. Because when you show superiority in one.The man can start feeling insecure even if its not at first but later on it will.

You have got all good quality the right man for you will want. Just have patient and be in your class. If not you will get only those that know deep down they can't handle you especially educated woman who knows her rights etc.They will just want to bleep you and sign-out.

Just cool off.I have started this thread just to seek advise and i got them which i have started work on it and i appreciated everyone for it and Justwise even you said i pay the agent to keep them in business.What can i do when all is doing it.It's not like it's an embassy like UK,USA etc where such is minimal.

We all got our views and i respect everyones view because we all are from different angel of life.I am not a saint but i know when to talk and when to act. Justwise cool.

I took your advise and went myself and to my surprise.That is no embassy. Tout is the consulate.Right from outside they run to you and guarantee you visa and even go ahead to tell you if you go inside yourself and do all process they will personally hand over your passport without visa.

I was surprised.The SA embassy has allowed Nigerian tout to collect bribes for everything.Well after a two days stress.I finally gave in to one of my Agent in my street.To save me all stress and documents.What a country.I thought i could do it all by myself with legit documents but when i got there.all they want is pay an agent to pay them their commission and get your visa.I should bone the legit documents.We are in Nigeria.I told one of them i just want to go for one week Tour and vacation and nothing more.I love my country.I just needed a rest in SA and be back here but still they said even it is one day.I will still go through the process.

I was pissed but what can i do.I want to visit SA and visit some sights and my friends then be back.Well This was my experience.The agent charged #180 000 Hard earned money.To pay #50 000 first and after visa #130 000 to save me all the headache.Well what can i do.I succumb and paid. It should be out in 3 weeks as promised by the agent in my street.He does it always and i had him sign all undertaken too just in case.

But why can't someone get visa with ease to our brother country in Africa.Even to Ghana through road.You will pay bribes almost at every boarder.

I have gathered a lot of information from here about visas and stuffs.Right now,I want to apply for a South African Visa for 1 week vacation.

I have been very nervous on how to go about the first step.Most travel agents i contacted charged me #130 000 or #180 000.But i am someone that told myself i can do this alone with just the right information.


Firstly,I am a first time traveler with an E-passport.Below is the budget i created.

Visa fee : 10 000
Refundable repertory fee : 83 000
Hotel 7 days : 75 000
Flight : 112 500
Tour total : 81 750 (To be paid for tour guidance around Jo'burg)
BTA (1000$) : 150 000

Total : 512 250


Aside all this are there any other things needed that makes these travel agents charge like they are the Embassy? They scared me that i won't be given without proper documents even though i did all this legit.

Please i need the address of South African embassy in Lagos.I saw many address online and don't know which is which.


I can get my statement of account.Also pay all this fund in advance.The hotel,Ticket and a prove of the 1000$ in my domicile.

Is there anything else i need?.I want to do this alone but with all information.Also the refundable fees.Do i pay it along with the visa fees?

Do i pay for the hotel,Flight and tour all at once before i take all receipt and documents to apply in person?.

With these questions answered i should be good to go and i will let you all know when i got the visa.Thanks.

I just want to start my traveling experience with SA then Europe next year.Don't like the sound of a first time traveler. No Time.
