VO: At the USA embassy we take visa application very seriously. At such i am not satisfied you are going for studies. Please take your documents. Me: 'Feeling' Downcast, Really i know no one and i came alone.Almost cried. So that was it.I came home yesterday with aero flight and sad like sh*t but i will reapply later again and hope for another fair interview. The guy was too strict and too fast.Didn't even give me a breathing space or thinking space. Please anyone going for interview to please forget what you know.It is strictly God's favour.I just confirmed it.I was confident and read all i need to know. But i know it's God's time.I will get it next application at same Abuja still. |
I just spent 2 weeks reading and reading comments, post and replies from page 1 - 199 now.I must say who ever has a question please spending time to read this thread would do you a great favour, As most problem or question you might face has been answered.I never posted a question i had because one page or the other answered it.Just one week more for my interview.I hope to get the visa because from reading and reading I think nothing is left again is for me to walk in and get the visa in Abuja next week. I also found this site resourceful. It is a site stating possible questions VO ask student applicant for F-1 (http://www.happyschoolsblog.com/f1-student-visa-interview-questions/ ). Wish you all the best and will post update when i get the visa. |
My apologies if you feel offended that you’re tagged in this photo… but this is needed so that we can understand that the killings’ going on in northern Nigeria in the name of religion is not a fairy tale. This gory picture is that of those that lost their lives in the December 2010 Jos crisis. Please, don’t say “e no concern me” because someone you know who knows someone who knows someone residing in Jos may be one of those dead, and it will keep getting closer, and eventually engulf us all, if we don’t all rise with one voice to stop this madness going on in Jos in the name of religion. Do you know that in 2010 alone, Nigeria lost more lives to religious crisis than to road accidents? I stand to be corrected but I do not think Christianity or Islam preaches violence. Rather, what is central to both religions is peace and tolerance. So, do we then keep quiet and allow some blood-thirsty groups of people continue to slaughter innocent lives hiding behind religion? It is a challenge to us, we the Nigerian youths, to voice out wherever we find ourselves, be it in our institutions, place of work or religious gathering, that killing in the name of religion is not acceptable. My Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters, this is not about apportioning blames. It’s about us protecting the right of everyone to live irrespective of what faith s/he believes in by voicing out. It is my belief that if Christian and Islamic faithfuls unite with a common voice against religious crisis, we will be going a long way in saving lives and the next generation. Islam preaches peace and tolerance, Christianity preaches peace and tolerance. One life is important, One million is just s statistic. THERE IS ONLY ONE RACE AND THAT IS THE HUMAN RACE!

@Poster. I am so touched by your feelings about your marriage.and reading all what you poured out touched me to post a reply which i don't usually do because of conflit opinion from fellow niaralanders. I must say in life we make some mistakes that we can't never undo but to try and amend the holes. You have entered into the marriage and you are in.Think about your kids. What kind of parent do you want them to see in you both.Don't take any action that might affect the kids cause in future it backfires. What i feel is that your husband still acknowledge that you are his wife and still has some love for you to come home every night. To come home to his family. Then you should try and call him one cool night.Prepare a good meal he loves most, pet him,and ask him for a serious talk. Then same way you poured out your heart here pour it out to him and see the result.Let us know the outcome please.Build communication,.If you can't talk to him who else can you talk to.He his your husband.YOURS 1- If he adamantly refused to change at that moment because of his ego. Then give him sometime to think. All men have their conconscience. He will think again in his queit time because if you don't pour your heart to him for once he will think he his doing the right thing.Paying the bills, coming home etc which you need more.So call it to his attention. He his your husband. 2- If he his willing to change. Then help him cultivate the habit by starting the things you want first to him.Like taking him out and the kids.Buying lunch for him. Then he will be a foolish man( Sorry to say ) Not to try and change for your gestures. God will fight for you after all your effort. Peace |
@promise2 You want to stay there for 7 days. Then you should put into consideration your flight. It is total of 20 hours to Malaysia from Nigeria with egyptair. 5 hours to cairo and stop over 4 hours plus and 10 hours to KL = 20 hours. so you will use two days for flight so you will add 2 days to and 2 days coming home. 3 days + 7 days of your stay is 10 days total. You will be stamped 2 weeks visit at the Immigration at airport. But don't over stay because it gives you an edge for next visit in future. 1190 Ringgit for 7 days hotel is fine compared to mine.I took the club room with sum to 1500 Ringgit. There are benefits with some of the rooms.1190 Ringgits is 370US $ which is fine.so The 1500$ BTA will cover all. ![]() |
Ok because i was wondering that i am was only posting a well explicit post to meet the NLer's questions. |
@Dis Guy Please i don't know what am doing wrong.I tried to reply to his question and i got this alert that i have been suspended to reply posts because of suspected spam. What is going on?. |
@promise2 For an hotel. I book through an hotel in Kuala Lumpur from online with my GTB card. They will only charge you the first night and you pay the rest on arrival or you can give them instruction to charge all the amount on your GTB card so you know you have fixed that to have upper hand at the point of entry because i did the same. You also get a complimentary airport pick up from the hotel depending on the type of room you book. citrushotelkl.com also they helped me with one security personnel that walks with me round for security and i pay his lunch. Please be careful of Indians there. Some of them hold knives and can rob you once they see you are new comer. Let me break it down for you.for the BTA. Have minimum 1500 us$. Pay hotel balance of 500$ then you are left with 1000$ which is 3000 Ringgit. Budget 300 Ringgit for food for 2 weeks and you have 2700 Ringgit. Budget 700 Ringgit to tour round KL and also visit Genting Theme park In Genting Island. You must visit this place. It's highlight of fun in KL. So for shopping.Go to chinatown and bargain. You get cheap and quality stuffs.with 1500 Ringgit i was able to buy my family and friends alot.shoes.bags,clothes,perfumes and chocolates.but at random places.Don't buy at one place but be random.Visit SOGO shopping mall. Visit Laut for anything electronics, Visit Bukit Bintang (This place you get alot of branded and unbranded stuffs like very cheap.Nice boutique shirt for 30 Ringgit which is 1500 Naira here but same clothes can go for 3000-4000 naira in some boutiques here in Nigeria) Bukit bintang is a place you would be tired to be amazed. Also if you are looking to come home and resell.Try clothes and others wears accessories. It's cheap and you could carry them pass immigration without paying any duty.So you are left with 500 Ringgit. With that you could do extra. For me i requested my family sent me extra 1000$ so i could buy stuffs which made it 2500$ in total i took there. One advise i have for you. When you visit the shopping malls. Please hold yourself and don't look at everything because the price tags will lure you because when you do the conversion you will be tempted to almost buy anything you see.I had that problem. I hope i broke it down for you well. For your visa.I did mine through a friend of mine.A registered travel adviser and an agent who helps in visa applications. He did mine under 3 days for some amount.Just my passport and money i gave him and i got it. Well feel free to ask anything and would be glad to answer it.I also dis-virgin my passport and came back.NO WORK IN MALAYSIA !!! in case you have that at the back of your mind. Also flight should be through egyptair. They are cheap. i paid 199 000 Naira for a return ticket with one stopover in cairo. So you do the math for your budget. You should be fine. For the visa. I don't know if it's allowed here to promote agents but i did mine through one. So let me know if you still mind. |
@promise2 drop your phone. i will call you. |

@jub009 Can you ask the question here. I will be glad to respond. ![]() |
@Poster is it the same Malaysia i just got back from?, What airline will serve vodka and alcohol on board? . cancelling your flight and fixing a new date attracts a fee minimum of 75$.Did you go through that stress to pay it? Something is fishy here. |
@MOG2009 I got my refund for the SA visa i paid for because i changed my mind at the last minute to Malaysia after i saw all the hassle at the SA embassy. Over all i am glad i changed it to Malaysia. Was worth it. |
So have a safe trip back home and hope to hookup for a chat ![]() |

@aieromon Nigerians are not everywhere here. Most are students and they jam packed themselves near the school dom etc. But so far only one Nigerian guy i have seen. @Joel It depends on the area of business. Here i went round KL to study kinds of goods,Price and exhange rate to Nigeria. If you intend to run a boutique in Nigeria and get good quality branded goods.Come to Malaysia. All brands are there.Timberland,Adidas,Nike etc. I compared the price to Nigerian currency and there are always a differency of some 10-20%.They have discounts alot here if you buy more than one. Also in the area of electronice.Laptops etc.I went to DELL store in a shopping MALL called SOGO to make a survey. There is a laptop which is sold in Nigeria at 75 000 Naira now.which i also use at home.A compaq mini. It is worth here brand new for 1000RM which is 360$ that is 55 000 Naira. So at the rate it is sold in Nigeria. The difference is 20 000 Naira. So on,I was making comparison like that and found out if you want bulk quantity.Come to Malaysia.Go to the companies direct. You will get it for less with a discount. So far,I will be leaving Malaysia tomorrow.Think i have over enjoyed my stay.Kind, warm and non racist people.Got alot of friends from here already.I am still the only black in this hotel. All other are indians, nepal,Indonesians, All races. Also come with money for shopping.I came with one bag and i am leaving with 3 big bags.I don't even know how to carry them.i even had to call home for more money for shopping which made it 2500$ cash i brought here. You will be tempted when you go to the malls.Too much confirmed stuff.Just hold your body.I tried it but still i must pick one or two stuffs. Also stay away from their phone it is too expensive to call home.I end up paying 1000RM to my hotel for just phone calls.TOO EXPENSIVE. Don't forget that. They allow you make calls then later you will be showed bills and you will be like WTF !!!, It is God that saved me that i did not shop with all my money finish. If not i for wash plate tire men. Chat from Nigeria soon. SAFE. |
I just got back for City wide tour round Kuala Lumpur. Alot more pics to be posted soon.Stay put.I noticed something.I was the only black throughout the tour scenes we went even with the crowd it was hard to spot a black like me.Why ?. I understand. So far Malaysia is it. Too much tourist sites.Genting Theme park, KLCC tower,China tower( Bought 4 confirmed shirts for 170 RM),Sogo, kings's palace,Momument and lots more. Never a doll moment in Kuala lumpur. No good food here.Been eating only white rice and roasted chiken.Atleast that's the only meal that still has nigerian taste in them.I have tried Thali of india dish, and losts other. But i end up puking in my bathroom. Over all.Business oppurtunity is in Malaysia. Tired now. Bye |
