Hey man, nobody is advocating an association or fixed price. If u take a look at the original post, it did not suggest formin an association neither did it suggested a fixed price. Fixed price can never be feasible cos website specifications differs.

The intentions of the OP is that we web developers shld place a higher value on the work we love to do as against the trend of charging ridiculus amount that can bearly do the job which usually ends up being done shabily and below average.

yea i understand was just thinking as others said that forming association, think it would help to identified developers n not to give job to people outside the association cus those that charge 15k has spoil alot of job..cus i could remember when i was called to design a school website last 2 year,the owner of the school was pricing 10k imagine

I think organsing web design/develop association is a good idea,it wil help to reduces those non professions cus they are d one spoiling web dev job...secondly fixed price cant wrk cus u dnt expect me 2 charge d same amount wit others.
