I'm not trying to hate on Wiz Kid or his achievements, more power to him and it gives me much joy to see an African act going this far. Much Respect to him.

But I've listened to this album from crown to sole, and I can say there's nothing exceptional about it. Lyrically and sonically I can't see what makes it outstanding from your regular Nigerian album. There's 3 or 4 really catchy songs, there's a really good song with Damian Marley and the rest are nothing mind-blowing. There's no solid background to the album, there's no leaning genre, there's no much lyricism. It's just good hype and marketing IMO.

If you want to talk about an excellent afropop wholesome, soulful album with the Nigerian ambience. Go listen to Chike's Boo Of The Booless, this was by far the Best Album of 2020

Rap music no fit sell for Nigeria .... rap music died In 2015 with olamide and phyno being the last protégé of that genre.... both artist turn to musicians sef and are slowly fading away...tho phyno has faded more than olamide....M.i released a track drawing consciousness to the fading rap scene in Nigeria,claiming we are being murdered by the South... nobody send am even him himself has faded into oblivion,,, Nigeria is a party party country with lagos the capital of the Nigerian entertainment industry ..predominanted by yoruba people,who are widely known for their parties and owambe lifestyle..so who get time to listen to metaphors and punchlines,to me I feel Laycon has faded away his last popular song is the one he did with deshinor...which is kind of a party jam....since then none of his music is widely known or has penetrated...
