So I built a platform https://academial.org called to help students with academic resources and mentorship. I noticed something worrying with Google indexing. At one point, Google indexed a good number of my pages, but later most of them got de-indexed. Right now, thousands of pages are sitting in “Crawled – currently not indexed,” and the number keeps dropping over time. I’m trying to figure out if I did something wrong technically or content-wise. The site is still relatively not that new (10 months), and I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with this before. |
I’ll be honest with you guys… Getting a scholarship interview invite is exciting, but that stage can mess you up if you’re not ready. A lot of people think once they reach interview stage, they’ve already made it. Not really. At that point, you’re competing with people that are just as qualified as you. Same grades, same achievements… sometimes even better. So what now decides who wins? Your performance in the interview. From what I’ve seen, there are usually 2 types: 1.Technical (they test your knowledge) 2. Personal (they test YOU) If it’s personal interview, you’re already very close… but that’s also where many people flop. Some questions that look simple but are actually tricky: Tell us about yourself Why this program? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Why should we pick you? You’ll be surprised how many people mess these up. They either: - Talk too much - Say nothing meaningful - Or just sound rehearsed ![]() What they’re really checking is not just intelligence again. They want to see: - How you think - How you communicate - Whether you actually know what you want I came across a detailed breakdown of these questions with proper sample answers (not those generic ones you see everywhere). The person even answered like it was a real interview. If you’re preparing for any scholarship interview, this will help you: https://www.academial.org/scholarships-grants/possible-scholarship-interview-questions-and-answers/ Just take your time and go through it. No be who reach there first, na who present well pass. If you’ve done scholarship interviews before, how was your experience? |
