Guy I've had my share of depression, disappointment, frustrations and bitterness, you probably think your case is worst because you haven't heard other people stories. At about 11 years I almost committed suicide, no one knows this in my family till now and at 20 I was going through a great depression alone, I'm naturally quiet and not expressive so people didn't know, I know how many times I cried and how many times I wished I didn't exist. I'll tell you what, i'm stronger and I'm glad I'm alive and I'm happy and grateful that God pulled me out of the pit I was in. So there's hope for you .

i am sorry to hear about that dear. such is life. i believe that depression is an individual thing, mr A can't be said to be experiencing more mental pain than mr B owning to the fact that we as humans reside in very different evironments and grew under different circumstances and were all created differently. some have the ability to better cope with pains than others while other people are even too weak to bear any measure of pain.

saying your situation was worse than mine is as wrong as saying mine is worse than martinez'.

i have been depressed from childhood, I seldom intimate my family my feelings as i keep to myself mostly, so they felt i was alright because i was doing fine in school by the standards.
as i aged i realise i am changing into a much different person and am beginning to despise my overly religious family, especially my dad who is quick to blame and criticise. when i tell them how i feel inside, they dismiss my words, say i am too naive, and tend to only be concerned about pleasing god and going to church. they call me witch, wizard and other bad names. even those around me share similar opinion. i am thinking of cutting myself from them.

the most painful part is that god had to punish us for the sins of our ancestors. he should have given everybody the same chance like adam and even were given. when i turn around and see deformed children, tears well in my eyes. i realise i should be grateful for the little i have.

if i loved someone, i would die before i could bring harm to that person. if i really loved someone, i would protect and care for them with everything i have, and stand by them through thick and thin. loving them means i have taken their happiness and pains upon myself. anything that happens to them would also affect me. but god is only hurt whenever we commit sin. he doesn't care about our plight, or why we sinned. he just expects that we love him no matter what happens. he wants us to consider his feelings in all we do but he doesn't pay attention to ours. that's a one-sided father-child relationship that will only profit god.

god is a sadist. only sadists derive pleasure from the pains of others.

true bro. People only seem to empathize with those in physical pains and dismiss all others as nothing. emotional torture is as painful as anything can get. my parents and relatives see me as a complete person because i smile and joke with them and also because i am alright physically, but they are not aware how much i am hurting inside. i feel a deep burning sensation in my tummy all day and it is as though torns are piercing my heart such that i can hardly breathe. sometimes i regret being born black!

believe it or not, i have been a christian right from birth for almost 2 decades. i attended revival, all night, crusade, conference, convention, camp when i was young and more. in my church i was in charge of various offices, i can preach the bible very well and conduct prayers as well. as a kid i represented my church in competitions and was actively involved in church activities. i am well known by the members in my church. i was so devoted to god that i always make sure to do every thing to show my loyalty. i know many bible verses and possess a reach bible knowledge. there is hardly a story you will mention in the bible which i don't know. if you knew me in person you won't be saying this crap.

pls can you just understand that i have been pushed to the limit of endurance. you lack empathy, you are obviously not interested enough to be of help other than the authenticity of the thread so goodbye
