Marriage in the past is no different from marriage today. It's always been based on incentives.

No human is genuine. We all need each other and will only gravitate towards what will fulfill our needs.


I never said marriage is a bed of roses. The lady that uses that is only constructing a sentence, it doesn't mean her sentence is true. It's simply a word used for communication.

The lady never said their parents don't quarrel. They are just mature enough to resolve their issues without their children even knowing.

You don't know anything about life. There are better ways to make a living than fraud. But if it's fraud you are good at, do it and wait for the consequences.

School was never created to make you comfortable. From inception, economy has run on business and skills. School was created to train you to work on such a business as society advanced and skilled workers are needed.

A lady was introduced to me by a street sister after I mentioned that I was in search of a serious relationship. I gave a clear list of my requirements, among which were that she must be gainfully employed and of good character.

Two days ago, the sister finally shared the contact of the lady she found for me. I was hopeful, thinking she would at least meet 80% of my criteria.

When I initiated a conversation with the lady, I asked about her educational background. She told me she was a secondary school drop-out. I didn’t judge her immediately, I wanted to hear more and not jump to conclusions.

So, I asked what steps she had in mind to upgrade herself. She said she wanted to go into business and gave a rough estimate of ₦3.5 million as startup capital.

Still, I wasn’t discouraged. I told her that if I were to invest in the business, I would hold 60% of the company while she holds 40%. My reason was simple: I wanted her to be accountable and run the business with a sense of ownership.

To my surprise, she rejected the idea. She said she wanted 100% ownership because she is “trustworthy” and that I could observe her for one year to see if she wouldn’t mismanage the business.

I let that conversation slide.

Then, a few days later, during another conversation, I asked her what she was bringing to the table in the relationship. Her response? Just “prayer.” 😂

At this point, I started enjoying the conversation ,not because I was impressed, but because her responses were becoming increasingly ridiculous.

I asked her another question: How much do you think we would need per month to live as husband and wife?
Her answer: ₦1 million.

I asked her to break it down. She couldn’t. She just kept rambling and listing irrelevant things with no clarity or structure.

This morning, she called me via WhatsApp video. While we were talking, the call ended. I tried calling her back, but the video didn’t connect. I noticed she was typing, so I waited.

Next thing I saw was: “My data got exhausted.”

From the very beginning, I knew I was way above her standard , intellectually, financially, and in life exposure. But I decided to subject her brain to an intelligent conversation to prove a point: most of these broke ladies have absolutely nothing meaningful to offer.

To my fellow hustling men who have sacrificed and worked hard to become something in life , please don’t settle for women like this. Look out for women who have built themselves to a meaningful stage in life.

I have two degrees. I’m a lawyer. And here is a lady, a secondary school drop-out , who thinks, in her oblivion, that she can hook a man of my calibre.

I called the sister who introduced her and clearly told her never to bring such people my way again.

I know how this kind of story ends: you help them build a life, and the moment they start seeing a little change, you’ll see their true colours. Many of them think the only thing they need to offer in life is their body.

I’ve cut off communication with her already, and I’m planning to block her on WhatsApp.

Her unreasonable thought process completely turned me off. So many ridiculous ideas. It’s just mentally exhausting.

You can't even find a woman for your self. If you are that big, don't you have connection and female friends?

You are that big and it's a so call street sister that based on what she offer, her intellectual must be equally low, that has to bring a lady for you.

but blocking her dad is wrong and very bad here. You have to sit here down and correct where she's wrong. Definitely she doesn't show respect for her dad. Soon she will disrespect you one day too. She should know her flaws, she should apologise and connect with her dad back.

That's a past issue. Plus, she was just about 18 then. It was when we newly met.

It's not a big deal actually based on the type of person she is. It doesn't mean she doesn't love her dad.

It's actually a good thing to ask questions. If we have an intelligent leader that we trust. And we follow all his commands blindly, how would we know when he starts making mistakes.

No man is an island. I may have some rules, but that doesn't mean they are always right. So, it's best as they ask why.

If you blindly make decision without asking why, they asking you why will force you to rethink and either modify or reinforce your decision.

I also won't do anything if it doesn't make sense to me. I am even worse. I will never listen to you. Never.

Thats not an issue. She is naturally defiant and stubborn.

But it's not an issue. All I care about is faithfulness to me and trust. If we trust each other, it's easier to open up to each other.

She is very stubborn normally and proud. But, she listen to me.

Initially she listens cause she was scared of losing me. I hate leading people with fear because it's dangerous, they will turn against me. So, I had to ease up.

She is free to open up to me because she trust me. I don't trust anyone, but I make sure I convince her that I do. And I find reasons to trust her, so that it will be convincing enough.

But regardless, we are best friends, so we can weather any situation together.

I personally know that if I start making unreasonable demands, she will rebel and tell me to do my worst. Someone that blocks her dad and refuse to pick any call from her family because they corrected her. I had to ask her to unblock them and speak to them.

Actually, marriage is a serious business that should not be built on feelings "which I believe is what most people called love."

Relationship should be built on mutual trust, understanding, and sacrifices. If all there is, is feelings, that's not relationship, that's selfishness - I love you cause you make me feel special - dude, I can't always make you feel special. Often than not, I will make you feel the opposite, but that doesn't mean I hate you.

Life is rough. The two of you fooling yourself won't make the sea smoother. You must be ready for the worst and that's why it's better to outgrow your feelings and choose a partner you both can go through tough situations together.
