It has always been about Oil for Ibo and Ojukwu, all that attach by force is fake love nairalanda1: Actually, Gowon is right.
There is a very long and interesting description of how Nigeria and Biafra fought for oil receipts in the territory's. To cut a long story short, the problem was at the time, the monies from oil sales were paid in London, not in Nigeria or Biafra....and there was a struggle for the thing. It's described in 'The Brothers' War by John de St. Jorre
In the end, Nigeria 'won'. |
Politics › Lagos-Kano Narrow Gauge Freight Operations Begins December - Transport Minister by Fulaninigger(op): 12:39pm On Sep 13, 2023 |
The Minister of Transportation, Sen. Sa’idu Alkali, has said that freight waggon haulage on the narrow gauge from Lagos to Kano will begin in the next three months.
Alkali disclosed this during his visit to the Kajola Waggon Assembly Plant in Ogun on Tuesday.
He said the railway corporation was using standard gauge to carry cargo from Lagos to Ibadan. but will begin the operation from Apapa to Kano in three months.
Alkali said that the Federal Government had already fixed the narrow gauge from Lagos to Kano and will now get some locomotives and waggons to take containers from Apapa and move them to Kano
“Once we evacuate containers from Lagos, we will use the narrow gauge to move them to Kano,” Alkali said.
After visiting some of the railway facilities, the Minister directed the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Fidet Okhiria, to look into the cleanliness of the coaches to enhance patronage on the railways.
Okhiria, on his part, said that the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, being the port regulator, and the former Minister of Transportation set up a ministerial committee headed by the former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation to look into freight charges.
He said that the purpose of the committee was to ensure the smooth operation of freight rail.
“The impact on NRC is that the terminals are charging $60,000 per container for moving the container to waggon freight, which is still higher than the movement on trucks, and the Shippers’ Council is working on that.
”The terminal charges are high because of the double handling; presently, moving cargo by rail is more expensive than by road but is faster.
“We are looking to see how we can do it; we have a minimum operational cost, and we don’t need to go and borrow money to buy diesel; that is why we are starting the freight rail movement of cargo handling now,” Okhiria said.
He said that NRC had begun the freight rail movement from the port pending an order from the Minister to reduce charges.
Okhiria said that NRC was operating rail freight with the narrow gauge before now but stopped due to security issues.
He said the corporation would use a month to repair all the vandalised tracks on the narrow gauge, adding that the management would assemble all the waggons and service them before putting them on track.
Okhira said that NRC had about 120 narrow-gauge waggons, as the Federal Government had been proactive and the corporation had placed an order through the China Civil Engineering Construction Company. https://tribuneonlineng.com/lagos-kano-narrow-gauge-freight-operations-to-begin-december-transport-minister/

That's what pains me the most, if they can't apologize for the atrocities committed, the least they can do is keep quiet. But just see them justifying heinous crimes Pakute: Do these ibo kids know the meaning of conscription?, why are you senselessly justifying the wickedness of your forefathers?. What your forefathers did to the SS minorities was no different from Bokoharam kind of conscription in the north, a walfare methodology of Terrorists. You forced people against their wish to fight and die for your selfish purpose, using the minorities as cannon folders. When Adaka Boro was fighting for Ijaw republic, did he conscript ibos or any other ethnic minority?. The audacity of ibo kids to come in here to rationalize the dehumanization and brutalization of the minorities is beyond words. We thought your forefathers were wicked but it has shown that the little generations after are even much worse. |

He perfectly knew what he was doing, intoxicated by power. He believed he was going to win and secede opamoses1: Delta and Ondo state were both under the Western and later midwest region, and were never part of orginal Biafria map drawn by ojukwu. You now wonder what Ojukwu was doing conscripting people in ughelli, Warri e.t.c.
They are now even braver and have decided to annex the whole of the Niger delta into Nnamdi Kanu/Simon Ekpas version of Biafria. |

Old eastern region is like any other region just like north and west under the federation of Nigeria. There are minority tribes and Ibos within the region You coined the word biafra as a nation to be dominated and ruled by Ibo, conscripting the minorities to fight on your behalf against their will Ngozi123: What is the difference between the old Eastern region and Biafra?
As for the bolded, that's the whole point of conscription. Many European countries had it during the first and second world wars. The US had something like it during the Vietnam war. Did you hear them accuse Catholics of forcing them to war just because John Kennedy ws the president at one point? |

Lol please nobody is wearing pampers here, don't try to insult our intelligence. There was nothing like biafra, as the minority were under eastern region, not biafra and how those being under the control of Ojukwu equates that the minority automatically wanted to fight for biafra? Please show us video, just like how Reno did of Ibos being forced and tortured Ngozi123: Saying that Ojukwu captured Eastern minorities is like saying Winston Churchill captured Scottish people. It makes no sense as they were already under his control.
Most of the men that made up the Biafran army were conscripts, meaning they were forced to go to war. Igbos and non-Igbos alike. |

Lol all these epistle you wrote is for beer parlour. The era of using grammar to confuse ppl is over 😂🤡 The video is clearly there as evidence Odin13: You the funny daft Reno keep exposing his foolishness ..
So How did Ojukwu capture his region.. the eastern region..
Does he need to capture a region that’s already in his control
You see illiterates and ignorance is what’s Reno is using to feed his gullible?
Was there oil during the fight .. that’s was used in commercial quality?
History truly need to be back in school.. federal government that banned it .. are not igbos .. they did to hide truths .. Visit NDA and see pure truth tabled about the civil war .. but can’t leave that environment because of fears of tomorrow..
Yet Reno is feeding the gullible with propaganda and semi foolishness
But who cares .. z Because even the foolish being abusing and cursing will be ashame wen truth surface someday
It will surely surface ..
Igbos has made Reno gone mad
Reno has left his calling as pastor on top igbos
Reno has left his political fortune on top igbos
Reno has left taking care of his family on top igbos
Reno has killed his sleep on top igbos
Reno nugget is dead .. on top igbos
Reno has Been reduce to a full blown madness on top igbos
Nigerians please pray for this erudite son of ishekiri .. before he commits suicide
.. suicide because all he’s rants and in his rant can do nothing to those God has blessed .. because they will keep rising rising and shining in every quarters .. but what happened to ishekiri tribe .. where are Dey today?
You see when digging a grave .. be careful.. you can never know go enter
If all Yoruba propaganda against the igbos for decades didn’t stop them ..
Wetin the tiny Reno fit do..
God bless Nigerians God bless Nigeria |

One thing I like about Reno, who always backs his assertions with evidence. Either video or link
One of the reason history banned in Nigeria, is for wounds to heal, because many Niger Deltan youths don't know what their fathers went through in the hands of Biafra soldiers

Without govt influence and patronage he would be no where. He cant compete favourably with other market forces.
He was into pasta and noodles but sold out the company to Indomie because he couldnt compete favourably.
What about his DANA foods and beverages? He chickened out and sold to Chi Vita abi na Chi exotic
Govt patronized him and gave him ridiculous rates in dollar exchange while other enterpreneurs suffered.
How many times did he write to FG to whittle out his competitors in business? Ask BUA cement how far!!
How about his sugar company?
Cement in other African countries na between 1500-1700 but for Naija na 5k. The man na wicked fellow.

…Eyes 60,000 hectares in Kebbi, Jigawa for cultivation The Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, said the Federal Government has secured a $163m credit facility from the African Development Bank to be channelled into wheat production. “We have obtained a $163 million dollar loan from the African Development Bank to support wheat production. The scheme would be launched soon,” Shettima stated when he paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Argungu, Sumaila Mohammed, at his Palace in Kebbi State. State House Director of Information, Office of the Vice President, Olusola Abiola, revealed this in a statement he signed late Sunday titled ‘Tinubu will fulfill promises made to Nigerians, VP Shettima reassures during condolence visit to Kebbi.” The Vice President visited the family of the late Islamic scholar on behalf of President Bola Tinubu Speaking at the occasion, he said, “I am here on behalf of President Bola Tinubu, who called me from India and directed that I should come to Argungu to commiserate with the family of the respected Sheikh, government and people of Kebbi State and the north in general.” Continuing, the vice president noted that “Late Sheikh Abubakar Giro was a respected scholar.” “He worked for God, he didn’t bother about things of the world. He lived a humble life. “May God forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternity,” Shettima added. The Vice President reaffirmed the determination of the Tinubu administration to fulfill its promises, particularly in the agricultural sector, adding that food security would receive serious attention from government. Commenting on the food security policy of government, he said, “We need 10,000 hectares of land in Kebbi State. But the scheme would be well executed in Jigawa State with a cultivation of 50,000 hectares of land to boost wheat production.” In his remarks, the Emir of Argungu, HRH, Sumaila Mohammed Mera, stated that the Emirate was proud of the achievements of late Sheikh Giro. He prayed for the unity and progress of Nigeria, and also thanked Tinubu and Shettima for their support. On his part, the National Leader of the Izala Sect, Sheikh Bala Lau, who received the Vice President on behalf of the family in company with other national executives, thanked Tinubu and Shettima for their show of love. Earlier, on his arrival, the Vice President was received at the Sir Ahmadu Bello Airport in Birnin Kebbi by the state governor, Dr Nasir Idris, who accompanied him on the visit. Also on the Vice President’s entourage were the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Sen. Umar Tafida, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari and members of the Kebbi State Executive Council, among others.
