Politics › Yorubas The Real Biafrans? by funkyBbully(op): 3:21pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
Have it ever occured to you. If this current agitation and protest were done by the " sophisticated" Yoruba's calling for self-determination and likely independence. I can bet with my last kobo that Igbos won't give a hoof about: 1) playing divde and rule tactics on them 2) using propaganda 3) Attacking personalities and dignitaries 4) impersonation 5) media attacks 6) labelling them terrorist 7) calling for state of emergency bribing some of their people prone to corruption. 9) rewriting part of their history 10) becoming their emergency guidance and counselor. 11) highlighting biased part of history to discourage them. 12) cooking and dishing out fictional stories. 13)and many malpractices I can't remember. Frankly speaking Igbos will not have time for all this things. Moreover, Igbos might even support them. Am saying Because, I see and believe that Igbos are civil and democratic in nature. They will respect their human rights and their rights to self-determination. Over to you good people of Nairaland, what do you think will surely happen if that's the case. |
Politics › Re: Radio Biafra, Tv: The Media House From Hell And Its Deluded Followers. by funkyBbully: 2:44pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
[s] Ymodulus: Radio Biafra, Tv: The Media House from Hell and its Deluded Followers.
.A common school of religious thought it is, that hell is made for the devil and its followers who will face trials on the Day of Judgment and reckoning. It is important to know that the power to decide who the devil and its followers are in this Day of Judgment rest on us. Radio Biafra is a household name which needs no introduction in respect to, what it is or how it started. However to educate those who know nothing about this station , its inception and mode of operation, let me run down a summary on Radio Biafra and sister station, Biafra TV. From an online pirate station operated by faceless individuals with less of a following to warrant any real concerns to a terrestrial radio station with a frequency modular bandwidth managed by a self-theatricalising promoter, called “Kanu Nnamdi” also known as “Director” with much more followers both on TV and Radio which I believe should warrant real concerns by the government as when neglected will have massive future repercussion. The mantra, vision and purpose of this organization is to “defend the rights of the indigenous people of Biafra and untimely actualization of the Republic of Biafra”. While the mantra or vision is in its entirety not wrong, the way in which the media leader and his followers are going about the actualizing this vision leaves much to be desired. It is imperative that to have a proper grip of understanding as to above the statement, we all ask ourselves certain questions as stated below:
1. How can a man curled up in a foreign land where a certain level of tolerance to liberties and freedom is guaranteed, ask and preach to his tribe men not to allow such which he enjoys in the land he lives? 2. How can a man in this modern age, call on his listeners ( his tribe men ) not only to contribute to his cause financially but to arm themselves, ominously waiting for further directives from him to attack others? 3. How can a group of people with a bitter history of fratricidal carnage on a tragic scale from a war which they started and lost for same reason and said mantra, try to let history repeat itself? 4. How can a man decide to prey upon the animosities and prejudice of many? 5. How do a group of people allow themselves to be brainshwashed into the use of hateful rhetoric alongside sophisticated humor in a bid to insult people who do not subscribe to his ideologies or people of a different tribe from his? In simple terms I mean how can a group of people in their ideal state of mind call his fellow neighbor of a different tribe an Animal? 6. Is it not Amusing that these sect of people (i.e. some Igbos) call other tribe animals, yet these same Igbos desert their land for that of the animals in search of greener pasture, shelter and even feed from the tables of these people they call animals?
Fellow readers, I believe that going through the above questions and more alike questions will prompt you to conclude to these two answers:
1. Radio Biafra and TV is from Hell 2. Its followers are either deluded, brainwashed, or illiterates without proper education. So called bandwagons of online Biafra pastors, supporters, propagandist are actually illiterate themselves.
.On this premise I ask all sensible Nigerians collectively join hands in the struggle to put to an halt the activities of this media house and its self-theatricalising promoter ‘kanu nnamdi’ who deludes himself and his followers as the “Liberator” and “God Sent”.
“There was a country” – Albert Chinualumogu Achebe.
By Ymodulus [/s] I would have hearkened to your words assuming you follow what you preach.... Calling the followers that derogatory words has proven that you can do worst than worst of what you blindly accuse them. Your way of going about it will spell doom. Besides their agitation is legitimate and is protected by the UN charter for indigenous people which Nigeria is signatory to. I see the hatred, anger and frustration you command in your write-up, boiling like a tsunami. And it has to be subsidized by all means. You are not of peace. And you are the devil here. Thanks. |
Politics › Re: Biafra: Yoruba Leaders Calls For Restructuring Of Nigeria by funkyBbully: 2:32pm On Dec 09, 2015 |
[s] Earthkumy: Prominent Yoruba leaders yesterday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently consider restructuring of the country as a way out of its lingering national crisis. The leaders also urged the president to roll out a comprehensive economic plan to rebuild the country infrastructure, reflate the economy, create massive jobs and raise the standard of education in the country. In a communique issued after their summit in Akure, the Ondo State capital yesterday, the leaders appealed to Federal Government to look into the causes of separatist feelings and agitation by the Indigenous people of Biafra(IPOD) for a Republic Biafra and initiate constitutional reforms to give a sense of belonging to all constituent units of the country. The summit which was entitled, Economic Downturn and Unemployment in Yorubaland, noted with regrets that the activities of nomadic Fulani cattle rearers continue to constitute a menace to the host communities. Prominent leaders who attended the event included Gen. Raji Rasak, Basorun Sehinde Arogbofa, Bishop Bolanle Gbonigi, Ayo Adebanjo, Ambassador Yemi Faronbi, Gani Adams, Chief Olu Falae, Kunle Olajide, Yinka Odumakin, Chief Reuben Fasonranti, among others. According to the communique, “ While acknowledging the realisation by the Federal government that the mono product economy has collapsed within the context of dwindling oil revenue, necessitating the diversification of the economy in order to create new corridors of prosperity, states that this would be impossible without changing the 1999 constitution which prevents the federating units from exploring the resources under their soil. “We calls for a meeting of Yoruba states Governors with leaders of the nation to fashion out an agenda for cooperation that would leverage on the economic strength of each state to create a conducive atmosphere for entrepreneurs to tap into the resources across states that could empower our people to float businesses that can engage our millions of unemployed youth. They are enjoined to pay particular attention to SMEs and the tourism potentials of the region in creating jobs.”
