What is happening to Abbey Mortgage Banks, someone has been dumping 10s of millions daily for like 4 days straight now going below 5.40 tomorrow. Any gist from the grape vine?

Excellent, thank you very much

Beware of Bamboo.
They were the pioneers for bringing NGX to the masses but they have issues regarding updating pricing and customer service. I use Cardinal stone and they reply emails fast (they reoleid me within 20mins this morning for eg). I don't know what kind of service you are looking for but my Customer Service experience so far has been great.

Modified: You can ask Cardinal stone about the services you listed before enlisting.

Thank you for replying, do you have an suggestions for a better broker, that would be helpful . I dont want to go elsewhere and be stuck with the same same
nosa2:
If you are not happy with their service get another broker. Its not by force to use them

Question to the house:
Please, what does it generally take for a broker like Meristem to assign a dedicated account officer or offer access to more tailored services such as specialized products, detailed research reports, or reduced fees?

Is there a specific portfolio threshold that typically qualifies a client for that level of attention? If yes, what ballpark range are we talking about?

I’m currently not satisfied with the level of service I’m receiving, especially considering the fees and I’m wondering whether it’s simply because my portfolio, while modest, is within the upper double-digit millions.

Are there brokers out there who provide stronger client engagement and better support for investors in that range? I’m beginning to feel like I may be too small for Meristem and might get better treatment elsewhere if I move.
thanks in advance

Relax. The first was unaudited. Now this should be the audited but wrongly captioned. They would probably correct in the coming week. That is not to say I am impressed….far from it.
A loss of 1.5 billion is scary oo , I hope they get this December deal and it goes through. that's almost 3 times the unaudited, that's a huge difference , all this accounting abracadabra, i don't like it . Well Ellah has a cult following so hopefully that keep it stable for now. I invested recently even when my mind said no , lol .

Should have been stated as audited FY as at July 31st or year ending July 2025. However, shouldn't they be in breach signing in October?
Needs to be made readable too. Financial signees on certification (Head of accounts, Financial Manager) are not consistent. I wish they would pay a bit more attention to what is handed out to the public. What of statement ending September 2025? Already in breach I guess.
the link says november but its july results and some numbers are just widely different , see personnel expenses or the loss for the period ..Wahala

This should not be a big issue.
The fault might be from the scanning machine that was used to scan/upload the result, either at the company or NGX and can be rectified/reloaded easily.
I hate how Nigerians roll over so easily, always managing. No it should never have made it to the public. This is not some ministry (which doesnt make it better) this is a multibillion company we are part owners , so i have every right to be pissed . Did you see the first result page where they used tipex to change some numbers then scanned it hahahahaha Jesu!

Good morning Aj8. Thank you for this common sense target table on the banking sector. I observed that the target for Jaiz is 2+. Is there a reason why its' low as I thought it should range within the N6-N9 band.
I must be missing something. Kindly clarify and if you'd be so kind as to do something similar for consumer goods and industrial goods sector.
Thank you.
The table is a relative value model, not the market reality.
It tells you who’s cheap compared to GTCO, not who’s absolutely cheap in the market.

So:

UBA, Zenith, Access → cheap vs GTCO

Stanbic → expensive vs GTCO, meaning investors pay a quality premium

GTCO itself → used as baseline

How come nobody spotted this obvious error in the figure quoted for Q3 Income Tax Expense in the NAHCO report before pushing it out? Could this be the reason people sold it off today?
Good observation, tax is more than revenue. abi na new tinubu tax be dis hahahaha
