The NPC attestation and the age declaration affidavit from a High Court work best. Someone once said they favored this because it has a QR code on it that they can scan to verify your details.

Hello everyone, please I need some advice.

My birth certificate contains incorrect spellings of my surname and my parents’ surnames. Since I’m unable to obtain a corrected birth certificate, I’ve opted for an attestation process. I first completed an affidavit for age declaration before getting the attestation done.

However, I’ve already uploaded the birth certificate with the errors. Will I be able to remove it and upload the NPC attestation when I get to the PR stage?

Also, is the NPC attestation sufficient as a valid replacement document in this case?

Any guidance will be appreciated.

Please i want to apply to a master program in portugal but my BSc is from Benin Republic, does anyone know if such certificate is acceptable at the embassy and do i need to legalize and authenticate it.

so if we cant delete uploaded document, how do we replace the placeholder documents we uploaded

Yes you can edit… but i highly doubt one can delete already uploaded documents

I noticed some discussion regarding affidavits. Please be aware that the High Court now has a digital platform where you can fill in your details and generate your affidavit online (E-affidavit).
I feel this makes it much easier for the embassy to verify because it includes a barcode.

​If you choose to go to the High Court in person, be wary of the agents at the gate; they often make mistakes, and your information might not be officially entered into the court system.

If you prefer a physical paper affidavit, please double-check the following:

1. ​Heading and Purpose: Ensure the reason (e.g., name correction) is stated correctly.
2. ​Details: Verify your name, the date, and the time.
3. ​Authentication: Ensure it has an official stamp and signature.
​4. Proof: Always ask for an official receipt or remita with a reference number.

please when filling the videx form, i selected other professions and entered my role in the next field, i hope that is fine because i didnt see my profession in the dropdown

so what happens when you join the waiting list of about 2 years and your admission expires,

Upload your passport in place of the SL/BA and submit your application. Once it's time for preliminary review, you can update it to your SL/BA

Please if the only thing pending for upload is the declaration of commitment , can the person submit just to join waiting list or its advisable to upload it before submission

Put an estimated date with 1 year duration, starting from at least 6 months from now, i.e. September 2026 to September 2027. That would make sense because you won't likely get called before then and that's even a minimum waiting period in my estimation.

Eventually you might even be asked to extend it further by the time they start your preliminary review. But for now, that September 2026 is ok.
