Romance / 8ways To Honor Your Wife For Life by Fusenavy(m): 9:20am On Nov 13, 2015
Honoring my wife is a life-long commitment. There are days that are easier than others … but it’s important that I strive to honor her in some way, every day. Here are eight ways to honor your wife for a lifetime:

1. Talk to her

Don’t just talk at her. Talk to her and with her. Share your life with her — your hopes and dreams. Tell her how beautiful she is and how much you love her, often. Carve out some time every day to turn off the TV, put away your cell phone, and just talk with her.

2. Save the best of you for her

I’m tired when I get home from work. I’m even more tired after I’ve played with my kids and we’ve put them to bed. But, regardless, she needs and deserves the best of me. Don’t spend everything you have at work. Don’t exhaust all the energy you have left with your kids. Give her the best. And that can be in the morning too!

3. Keep your eyes on her

Guys are visual creatures. It’s easy for us to check out the girl with the low-cut shirt on at work, or tune in to the Miss America pageant in hopes to catch a glimpse of the swimsuit competition. Don’t. The only woman you should be checking out or looking at in this way is your wife. And, guys, she sees the glances that you try to hide when you’re together. She needs to know that she is the only one for you — in every way — especially physically.

4. Be consistent in your behavior

When your wife isn’t around, you should act the same as you do when she is by your side. Most importantly, how we act when we’re talking with another woman. In other words, would you compliment her like that if your wife were there? Would you touch her hand like that if your wife were there? Would you talk about that subject if your wife were there? Would you share that detail of your life if your wife were there? Be consistent in how you act and behave, especially when your wife isn’t there.

5. Support her dreams

It can be easy to be selfish and make it all about you. And, as guys, this is especially difficult for us. But, if you’re talking to her as I outline above, you’re going to uncover her hopes and dreams for her life. You should be her biggest cheerleader. Support her with everything you have and all that you are.

6. Speak highly of her

Once again, this should be done when she’s there and when she’s not. And, the best way to do this is through a third-party affirmation. This is when you’re talking to someone with your wife right there and you say “Let me tell you about how amazing my wife is …” or “Did you know that my wife is an amazing writer …” and so on. But, you definitely want to be sure that you’re speaking highly of her when she’s not around – especially when you’re talking to another woman.

7. Handle conflict fairly

Fights and disagreements are going to happen. And, you’re going to be tempted to go for the low blow and say something that will really hurt her deep. Don’t do it. Fight fair. Don’t bring up things that you know are hot b*ttons for her and don’t use manipulation to win an argument. And, don’t be afraid to be wrong … or to give in. It’s really OK to lose a fight to your wife. And, if you’re communicating regularly on a deep level, conflict is much easier to resolve.

8. Give her full access to your life

Lastly, she should have full access to every area of your life — Facebook, cell phone, email, etc. This shows that you have nothing to hide and it builds an unbelievable level of trust with her (and it keeps you accountable). And, don’t wait on her to ask you. Be proactive. Give her your passwords today and take a step to full transparency.

Will you get with your wife tonight and go down this list together to make sure you’re on the same page? And, if you’re a wife, will you LOVINGLY share this with your husband?

Romance / A Successful Relationship Requires THESE 5 Compatibility Traits by Fusenavy(m): 8:22am On Nov 13, 2015
1. Commitment: Both parties are committed to each other and their relationship. This falls into the parent ego state, where both parties sharing the same level of value regarding their bond.

2. Consideration: Compatible couples never forget the importance of their relationship, and make sure to be considerate and present for their partner. In the adult ego state, this includes considering another person’s happiness before one’s own, and learning lessons from previous relationships.

3. Keeping things fresh and youthful: While a couple may age, they make sure their relationship stays youthful. As part of the child ego state, be spontaneous and open to learning new things.

4. Having sense of humor. A sense of humor can bind a couple together, help release frustration and tension, and simply be fun. Also falling int the child ego state, have fun together.

5. Being intimate with each other every day. You don’t have to have s*x before marriage, but showing intimacy with touch or a gesture, or really listening when your partner is expressing their feelings, shows true compatibility. This is part of both the adult ego state and/or child ego state, as intimacy is something you feel but could have learned from previous relationships.

Couples who connect with each other on a variety of levels, and share many of the same personality traits and values, have a greater likelihood of going the distance in their relationship

Sports / Mata: I Take No Pleasure From Mourinho Losing by Fusenavy(m): 8:04am On Nov 13, 2015
The Spain star says that he has no hard feelings towards his former boss, focused instead on taking his current club back to their former glory in the years to come.Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata insists that he takes no pleasure in seeing his old manager, Jose Mourinho, losing games at Chelsea, saying that he holds special memories from his time at Stamford Bridge.

Mata was a popular player at Chelsea but fell out of favour when Mourinho returned to the club in 2013 and moved to United following a lack of opportunities in January 2014.

But, speaking to Goal at Spain's training base in Madrid, he explained that he has no ill feeling towards the Portuguese, whose team sit just three points above the relegation zone.

"No, I'm not that kind of person," said Mata. "I'm a person who doesn't think bad about other people or feel happy when other people don't get results. I'm just happy because of what I'm living, because my life is good, I'm happy where I am and nothing else.

"I don't like to think about others losing or not performing well. No, no - I'm not that kind of person."

Mata won the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League during his time at Chelsea and looks back fondly upon his two-and-a-half-year spell in west London.

"I always said I was very grateful for Chelsea," he said. "I spent an amazing time of my career there, we won a lot of trophies, and I think I became a better player. I have great friends in the club and I always wish the best for them."

And at Old Trafford, Mata admits that he has "the confidence of [his] manager" - which he was lacking in his final few months at Chelsea.

The Spaniard continued: "I think the key is to feel the confidence of your manager and the confidence of your team-mates and to feel important. Everyone wants to feel important wherever they are and right now I feel I am a very important player within the club.

"I am happy with the fans, with the club, with everyone. I'm enjoying the moment and I think that helps you to play better football and to perform better.

"The truth is that, after five seasons, I feel important and I feel valued - by my team-mates but also by the league and by the fans in general. There is a certain respect from the players and, in my case, after several years of doing things more or less well, I feel the respect of the people. That makes me proud."

Celebrities / Linda Ikeji "I've Never Slept With A Man For Money," Blogger Tells All by Fusenavy(m): 8:12am On Oct 19, 2015
She had some words to say, especially to young women.

She said on her blog:

"My name is Linda Ikeji. I'm a blogger. I'm 35 years old and I have never...never ever in my life slept with a man for money. Not only have I never done it, I have never even consider it...and here I am with a house that cost me over half a billion naira.

Listen, you are beautiful and you are stronger than you know. There's absolutely nothing you can't achieve if you set your mind to it, put her heart and soul into it. Up until five years ago, I was a struggling entrepreneur. I can't tell you how many offices in this Lagos I sat in for hours waiting to see people who could support my business...but most times, I never passed the reception area. But I never gave up and I never stopped believing and here I am today.

You too can be this..you can be better than this. No dream is too big, no dream is too small, no mountain is too high...it's all in your mind. It's all up to you. If you believe in you, in your God who is guiding you, then the sky is your starting point.

Please stop waiting around for a man to give to you...to put food on your table and put clothes on your back. I promise you, you can do it for yourself. Start thinking big, believe in yourself, be creative and start working. Realize that your dreams are valid...and nobody will make your dreams come true except you. Find what you are good at. Find something that you are passionate about. Work hard at it. Be consistent. Be patient. Start young. Even if you're not young, it's never too late!"I have been hustling since I left secondary school..started modeling before I entered university in 1998. Was running a modeling agency even while I was a student and made it a full time business after I left university. I never doubted that I would succeed one day, because I was determined. And please do not think this happened over night. I've been blogging since 2006...November this year will make it exactly 9 years. God, consistency and hard work brought me here today.Unfortunately, a lot of our young girls aren't patient and some are lazy, they want it quick and fast but it doesn't work like that. Success takes time - takes hard work - takes passion - takes consistency - but more than anything else, it takes the Grace of God.

I was a 30 year old broke woman and on my birthday, a very sad and depressed me turned to God and begged him. I told Him you promised me, when will You fulfill Your promise? Am I not Your child? Have I not lived according to Your teachings? When will You bless me? Please God help me...and with tears in my eyes, I begged Him. I cried and I begged and I begged and I begged. A few months later my life changed. Never underestimate God's love for you and the power of prayer. And never stop working. Listen, I make enough money to hire so many people to work on this blog while I go do other things and enjoy myself...but I don't do that. I'm up while some of you are sleeping, and already blogging before some of you wake up. I don't take this for granted. I know to stay on top, I have to constantly work and nobody will be as dedicated as I am because this is not their own thing. It's mine and I have to keep feeding it. So I'm constantly here!

Young ladies, I promise you...you too can do this. You don't need to spread your legs for any bladdy man - because of how much? N200k? That's how much my shoes cost - so why you should give up your body for that? Your sacred body? God's temple? 200k that you can make in a week or even in a day if you pursue your dreams and still have your dignity intact? You think people don't see that you're messing around with all dem old married men and talking about it? Think ladies, think! When next a man propositions you...tell him to get lost, that you will get yours yourself! Abi, aren't you a woman? You know what they say about women? "A woman is like a tea bag, you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.". You are so strong, you don't even know!

Also, if you want God to bless you, you have to have a clean heart. All these backbiting, hating on others, trying to bring people down with hateful words, action etc - God doesn't like ugly. He has over 6 billion people to look after and you think he will pay extra attention to you if your heart is ugly? Wish people well, help people when you can. Be good to others. But more than anything else be good to yourself. Believe in yourself. It's very easy to give in to feelings of self-doubt and back down when things get tough, but you have to know that God will not give you anything you can't handle.

I swear to you, you are underestimating yourself. If you know the power that you have inside. If you know the things that you are capable of. If you know how far you can go...how high you can reach but you are holding yourself back because you're afraid of failing, because you don't think you have it in you. If only you know that you're stronger than you think. You are so powerful, you don't even know it. I'm not more special than you are. I don't have two heads. We serve the same God. Why can't you succeed? Think ladies, think.

Like Barack Obama's sister said, poverty is not an excuse! I used to sell/market beer at Sheraton hotel, Lagos when I was in university for N1,000 a day. I once lived on 'puff puff' and garri for weeks in UNILAG and I was supposedly a top model but nobody knew what I was going through. Trust me, I know poverty. Did you know I lived in Idi-oro, Mushin for 15 years? Up until when I was 25? Did you live in Mushin? Eh, so what's your excuse? I can't even say some things here for my family's privacy but here I am today because I never doubted myself and I never allowed all the doubters to distract me. I was focused. I was determined. I worked hard and I knew the God I served won't let me down. The road was long, sometimes very frustrating and painful but look at me now. God did it because he saw that I was willing!

"Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, “She doesn’t have what it takes.” They will say, “Women don’t have what it takes.”

Please believe in yourself and watch God use you to set as an example for others.

May all your dreams come true!

Crime / Breaking News!! Boko Haram Storms Adamawa Village, Kills 12 by Fusenavy(m): 6:46am On Oct 19, 2015
Some armed persons suspected to be members of the Boko Haram sect on Saturday night attacked a village in Adamawa State, killing 12 people.

While narrating how the attack occurred, Maina Ularamu, a former Chairman of Madagali Local Government Area, said the insurgents attacked Dar Village in the council at about 8:30 p.m.

“A large number of gunmen invaded the village, forcing resident to flee to nearby bush,” Mr. Ularamu said in a telephone interview.

He added that “two female suicide bombers disguised as fleeing villagers detonated explosives in the bush where many people were hiding, killing twelve persons.”

He added that many victims who sustained injuries were evacuated to the hospital by police personnel.

The spokesperson of the Adamawa Police Command, Othman Abubakar, confirmed the attack, but did not provide details.

The Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria has killed about 20,000 people; with Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe most affected.

The attacks have continued despite a change of government that saw President Muhammadu Buhari replace Goodluck Jonathan after the latter lost the presidential election in March.

The Nigerian military, however, says it is winning the war against the insurgents and has recovered several territory from them.

Sports / No WAGS And More Training – Klopp Makes Melwood The ‘headquarters Of Football’ by Fusenavy(m): 2:10pm On Oct 18, 2015
New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has banned wives and girlfriends from the Reds’ training ground and cut back on the amount of days off the squad are due to have.On Saturday, Klopp took charge of his first game since his appointment 10 days ago and although the experienced German knows he mustn’t make too many changes too soon he has made small changes to the working environment at Melwood.

The Express‘ Paul Joyce reports that Klopp outlined to his players that Melwood “is the headquarters of football”.

The 48-year-old has outlined that Melwood is a place for work, not families. Joyce explains: “It is not an indictment of what has gone on under previous regimes, merely how Klopp likes to work.

Wives and girlfriends of players were not seen at the training ground of Borussia Dortmund, Klopp’s previous club, and that practice has now been introduced at Melwood to banish any potential distractions.”

“We need to train for as often and for as long as it is possible,” Klopp says. The Telegraph‘s Chris Bascombe notes that: “Some Liverpool players have been more guilty than others when inviting their acquaintances to the training facility. There may be rare occasions when this is relaxed rather than serve as an outright ban, but it is evidently an issue that needed addressing.”

Players will no longer automatically get back-to-back days off and will instead have to train more under Klopp.

“A culture of regular, routine days off during the working week is over,” writes Bascombe.

“In the era of Gerard Houllier and Rafa Benitez a day off was to be earned – a reward for exceptional performances. In those years back-to-back days off were a rarity. Klopp will restore that ethos.”

Under Houllier and Benitez Liverpool won eight trophies – the club have won only three more in the last 25 years, between Graeme Souness, Roy Evans, Roy Hodgson, Kenny Dalglish and Brendan Rodgers.
