Valro: Can imagine what being in your shoes would be like now bro. 1.Can you authoritatively say she loves you (despite the whole saga) if she does, there is hope then. 2. The mistake we men make is thinking that going outside to "chill" while home is burning is the best way out... forgetting than when the we ll still come back to face the problem.
It's obvious she is a young woman, probably not had life rough with men. I think you have to chill for now, but still make your intentions known through texts, offline and online....especially at midnight when it's quiet. don't chill you hear..let them stab you |

BlackManta: go and read my post again. I did not say that men do not suffer domestic violence.
I clearly implied that women are the major victims and YES it is true. Over 40% of domestic violence are male. Women still hold the greater percentage. I'm not lying when i said women are the major victims. yeah, over 40 without access to shelter from abusive partners...how is that for equal opportunity http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5111607/amp/700-000-men-victims-domestic-abuse-year.htmlDown here in Nigeria, there isn't a ministry taking care of men with serious sickness like cancer etc But we have ministry of women affairs.. I can only imagine the outrage if it was the other way round |

Daeylar: Nice thread blackmanta Don't let anybody distract you with some ridiculous arguments or their attention seeking antics or make you lose your cool, You've made your point, and it was a brilliant one,
Whining babies everywhere on this thread. tired of the topic of this thread, but yet cannot ignore. Wants certain topics to be discussed yet cannot open a thread to discuss it, Yet still feels they can question anyone on the topic they wish to create. It's their choice to open a thread on what they want, You don't control them.
Whining on someone's thread about which topic they should create, if you really felt that a topic should be discussed, stop whining and create the thread yourself. it all good..here is an unpopular opinion, I am in full support of preventing women from getting pregnant in order to be able to work same hours as men, that the price am ready to pay for gender equality |

BlackManta: You cannot support gender equality and bash feminism. Feminism is about gender equality too .
The reason why you don't hear of masculinity is because men are the most favoured gender. The majority of gender discrimination, stigmatisation and injustice is against women
Who are the major victims of rape? Men or women?
Who are the major victims of domestic violence? Is it not women?
Have you ever heard of male widows/widowers being oppressed and accused of killing their wives?
Have you ever heard of male non-virgins being stigmatised cuz they lost their virginity before marriage?
Have you ever heard of men being marginalized in the labour force, politics, government and other leadership positions cuz of gender?
Have you ever heard of men trafficking and male sex slavery?
List out the gender injustices in the society and you will know that the woman is really suffering.
Of course some problems in the society affects both genders or men in particular.
But injustice against women is too much that the idea of feminism had to be born to fight it .
If women were enjoying the privileges that men enjoy today there would be nothing like feminism. But women are the most oppressed gender, that is why feminism is necessary.
If you know the gravity of injustice that women suffer, you will know that men are the most favoured gender.
Over 7,000 women are murdered every year for mercy killings due to female inferiority and to restore family honor.
Over half of the world's women have suffered genital mutilation. Some resources estimate over 85%.
Child marriages (girls under 15) occur at alarming rates and a number of children physically and sexually abused in these situations is equally overwhelming.
Rape occurs in all forms, but the majority are men-on-women scenarios. Rape is not taken seriously and is incredibly under-reported. Statics in Bangladesh reports that 61% of urban rapists felt no remorse due to social views on women and over 95% of reported rapes led to no convictions.
Even though women are rising in the workplace, sexual harassment is still thriving as a way to play a power game between genders. Over 50% of women report being sexually harassed at work.
Sex trading and forced prostitution are still a dominating business on a global scale.
The media still promotes women as sexual objects dependent on men.
Women face inferior stereotypes socially, but that is the whole article in itself.
Wage disparity is real and women are paid less than men for the same jobs with the same degrees.
Women are pressured by looks. Look at the makeup industry and how much women pay to get the “flawless natural” look to conform. yeah, regular bull.shit https://amp.theguardian.com/society/2010/sep/05/men-victims-domestic-violencehttps://www.thesun.co.uk/news/1802863/domestic-violence-against-men-soars-to-record-levels-as-number-of-cases-treble-in-past-decade/amp/http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/domestic-violence-male-victims-shelters-government-funding-stigma-a7626741.html?amp |

lovelygurl: I don't get your APC example but their are misogynists, feminists and misandrists (which I believe you are talking about) yep |
Family › Re: Common Forms Of Sexism Men Face by Futureberry(op): 11:32am On Oct 28, 2017 |
lovelygurl: No you're still getting it all wrong. Not everybody who addresses himself/herself as a feminist is really 1. There's a simple definition that comes with the word "feminism" anybody who diesnt follow its definition is NOT one. You don't have to say you are feminist to be 1. If you live by and believe its definition, you are one. Most people in Germany don't say they are feminists because Germany itself is a "feminist country" (if you know what I mean). It's sth. so natural, that's it's seen as weird if you believe otherwise.
Likewise, saying you are a feminist doesn't mean you are one , especially if you always have a "but" to its definition. So those Brazilian "feminists" you are talking about are simply NOT one APC manifesto and the reality is different, those that make apc members non APC...they are feminist... They are just radical or should I say feminazist |
Family › Re: Common Forms Of Sexism Men Face by Futureberry(op): 10:55am On Oct 28, 2017 |
HajimeSaito: This doesn't make any sense. Males are bred and conditioned to be be tougher than females. Mental toughness is an innate component of the male psychological makeup. Treating male children less gently than females is not sexism as long as the ultimate goal is to toughen them up for the roles they will play later on in life. to toughen them like jailing innocent men for false rape,or you want a society where men are arrested without evidence and their image destroyed before investigation |

Lalas247: Men and women will never be equal .... it’s sad but it’s the reality we live in am glad you understand this, equality can never be possible, when you favour one gender the other feel cheated and that how the circle goes on and on...we can only try to...you can make rules to protect one gender but you forcing the other gender not to go against it is an infringement on their right to expression |
Family › Re: Common Forms Of Sexism Men Face by Futureberry(op): 10:49am On Oct 28, 2017 |
lovelygurl: There's only ONE definition of femism. Different types of feminism fall under it. Those types give away reasons why they think inequality exist . They still all fall under this very ONE definition.
"Anarcha-feminists believe that the struggle against patriarchy is an essential part of class struggle"
"Black feminism argues that sexism, class oppression, and racism are inextricably bound together."
"Cultural feminism emphasizes the difference between women and men but considers that difference to be psychological, and to be culturally constructed rather than biologically innate"
And so on and so forth
They all still fall under the definition of feminism but the reason why they believe it's needed is different. The definition stays the same I know all these, these are classes, what am talking about is individual mindset.... In Brazil the rate of homicides between male and female is higher in male...but most feminist argue that it irrelevant and that more emphasis should be place on female homicides... Those that makes the rest of the feminist. Bad...nop...everyone cannot conform to your narrative... This is the issue |
Family › Re: Common Forms Of Sexism Men Face by Futureberry(op): 10:03am On Oct 28, 2017 |
lovelygurl: Feminism means equality of both sexes. A simple definition which should have let you known those people you address as "some feminists" aren't feminists if they downplay a right the feminism you support isn't the same others support... |
