There is a disconnect between the Tertiary instructions and the industry.

I have been working with organizations trying to address this. However, we have discovered that if we cannot influence the government to make certain policies it won't work so we hope we'd get a chance to get policy makers to air us.

Let me speak for Engineering. Imagine a Professor who is only limited by machines in the school workshop (a Foreign trained Professor). The problem is the machines he was taught with are outdated and there been new developments and more advanced machines and technologies, he knows about them but he hasn't got a chance to work with them so he can't fully teach the students on these technologies.

If we can get the industry to synergize with the academia then, we will start making meaningful progress

Use our college of fisheries for instance, how many of them teach practical fishing, or own fishing vessels or how many of the professors really have fishing experience, or do invites knowledgeable and experience fishermen to teach the student? Lecture notes alone is not enough, which fishing skill are then now transferring to their students? Theories I can ready online? Lecture notes are available online now unlike before where students depend on lecture notes from lecturers , people learn online now more reason you see a faculty of computer science taking their computers to Kazzem the road side repairer , who possibly learnt on YouTube , yes there should be synergy

You have a point there, we make friends , learns way of the others, discipline, meeting deadlines, socializing , building confidence, and all those examinations drills that imbibe discipline into us , all these are the parts of it but the universities need to do more in research and transfer of useful skills and knowledge to the youths that will encourage the upcoming ones to follow the route

I had the worst nagging experience of my life today. chai how can someone complain from 9:45 pm to 3:00 am.

What started this argument I don't even know I kept quite for 2 hrs only for me to burst out in anger because I was constantly reminded how I was a failure, how I stole my sister's 5k fifteen years ago, how I spent my own bursary allowance at the university 10 yrs ago, infact all sort of irrelevant accusations where being dug up, it was like a blast from the past and I almost ran mad, not because of the accusations but because of the way those words kept disturbing my peace.

This same nagging experience from the past made me buy earphones

This is why rich men find life more easier, even if you believe in sharing same room or bed with your wife, have your own room and let her have her own room having knows her as a nagger ,
The sitting room and dining can be a regular meeting space anyone can choose to go to the other room or invite the others

I can choose to be playing and gisting with her in her room all day , even if she’s nagging and vamoose when i can no longer bear it, not having escape route is dangerous and can lead to confrontation,

You can even use this to understudy your kids to see how often they come to your room to play with you, daddy daddy

-When the nagging start , simply go into your room and lock your door and continue your work , peace of mind first!
After two days , she will be the one that will invite you to come see a movie
