The truth is, u r officially allowed 2 travel outside ua state with state coordinators approval. But travelling outside d shores you need Nysc DG's approval. The good thing is, DG approves such application.

once you get 2 onitsha, nysc camp is a stone throw away. Just wave down any awka bound bus and inform d conductor u r dropping at nysc camp umunya. The fare is 150 naira. Then from d camp busstop, take a bike to d camp at d cost of 100 naira. It a km n half away from d busstop. So if you care 2 hike you will enjoy it. Bon voyage!

sch authorities are aware that nysc require d i.D, for identification. I wonder why they av 2 retrieve it. Anyway take this up with d authorities.

Retrieving certificate is not as u fink. What happend was dat ur cert was returned 2 headquarters as unclaimed. If u really want it, go 2 ur coordinator in state of ur service n request for a clearance which u wil take 2 hq to request 4 it. I hope u didnt abscond in d first place.

depends on where u are coming from. And ofcourse, there is no part of nigeria u can't locate in 48 hrs.

For those prospective Corps members posted to Anambra, d camp is quite easy 2 locate. It is about 20 mins drive from onitsha. Along onitsha/enugu express way. Am one of d officials of d camp. U can't miss ur way.

No corps member has right to reject posting. Xcept on special grounds.

The first port of call for prospective corps members is d security post. There u will be searchd. Any dangerous or sharp objects: cutleries, clippers, charms and weapon etc shall be seized from you. I hope d above answers those who want know what 2 take along.

yes, u have to go with ur original statement of result because it is need 4 authentication..Nysc has nothing to do with ur o level.

As an official of NYSC, my advice is get a replacement i.d. Card from your school. Otherwise you will be sent back home from camp, unregistered.

don't make 16 copies unless you av money to waste. Two copies of your statement of your result is what d officials need. Ofcourse come with 16 copies of your passport.

the earliest time to arrive camp should be on 1st july for security reasons. Most camps are uninhabited n located in outskirts of towns. But officials usually arrive a day before d commencement to kick start things and ensure d availability of logistics.

Most people who r going 2 camp r often confused on d number of photocopies to make or which documents to take along. Here is an insider advice: take your call up letter(don't laminate pls) just make a copy for your use. 2. Take along your degree cert. (two photocopies are need) 3. Your school I.D. is needed. Apart from these mentioned don't waste money making photocopies not needed.

@vincent, d online registration of NYSC is suspended right now. So u r xpectd 2 register offline @ d camp.

Starting getting ready. But don't carry much luggage. Three items of clothings will do for three sundays. If you r d fat type with big size feet, pls make sure yourself spotless white t-shirts, white tennis shoe and orange corps member's boot. This is because d official may give u under sized kits.
